I stood in my room watching as my little angel sleeping, my eleven month old named, Chasity was just beautiful. Had James' blond hair, his skin color and my hazel eyes. I was actually pretty excited when she was born. I smile as I hear the door slide open and I turn around seeing James coming towards me. I blink wondering what he was doing in here? He was supposed to be guiding the ship.

"James, what are you doing here?" I question him with a curious look.

James looks at me with a 'are-you-serious?' look. "I'm here to see if you two are okay."

"We're fine, James, I promise." I smile at him and take his hands and bring them up to my face and kiss his fingers. "I'm just letting Chasity sleep away until tomorrow morning."

He smiles a bit, and kisses mine back as he looks at her sleeping on her tummy snoring a bit, I giggle a bit and so does James. I look into his blue eyes gently and quietly. He looks back into my hazel eyes as he lets out a sigh.

"Is something wrong?"

"I'm just thinking, Ari, don't worry." James smiles at me as I look at him again with a serious look and put a hand on my hip. "What?"

"I think you're lying, Jim." I said, I never used this name unless I wanted to get something from him. "Tell me the truth, please? Are you regretting having. . ."

"No! You know I'm not." exclaims James shaking his hands in front of him after letting mine go. "I'm glad we have her, there is no one I would rather have a child with than the one we have now." He touches my shoulders tenderly, "listen, whatever happens I'm going to be here for you."

"I know, James, thank you." I reply to him as I smile.

"Captain Kirk!" Chekov's voice announced over the comm in my room.

"Yes, Chekov, what is it?"

"Something is appearing in the sensors!"

"On my way!" James replies and looks at me, I smile as I look back and nudge him out. "Are you sure? You can come see this too. She's on the monitor so we can hear her is something happens."

I began to think about it, maybe he was right. Maybe I should get out of here once in awhile to hang out and find out whats going on with the ship, I mean, I am the First Officer and all. I needed to make sure James was actually doing his job. I sigh, complementing. James touches my shoulders once more tenderly, I blink and look at him.

"Come on, she'll be fine, I promise."

I nod finally as I sigh. "Okay. . ."

Finally, we left a little after contemplating, I left Chasity who continues sleeping, it was nighttime, but things could happen - but I couldn't let that get in my head. She's a wonderful baby, she's fun to be with, but sometimes - I don't know. Something just doesn't feel right about what Chekov just found. Maybe it was just me. Who knows.

After getting on the bridge, Jim walks to the sensors as I follow him. Stopping, I was concerned about what Chekov had found. It was nothing we'd never seen before. I take a closer look and saw bronze on the sensor. That - was never there before. James noticed it too, I know he did because his eyes looked straight at it.

"Chekov. . ."

"Yes, Captain?" Chekov replies to James.

"Did you notice that bronze mark before?"

Chekov stared at him with a very confused look, and he looks back at the sensor and he sees it too. Chekov was shocked, how did he notice not that before?

"What are you saying, Captain? Is there something odd about that bronze mark?" questions Spock. "Maybe it has been there for awhile and it just needs to be cleaned."

"Spock, this bronze has never been here before." I comply. "Something tells me with this bronze it's going too-"

"-Captain, the ship is being pulled down by an unknown matter!" Uhura yelled out as I feel myself jerk as I feel my heart stop. The baby! "Captain we have to do something!"

"Scotty!"

"There's nothing we can do Captain! I'm givin' her all she's got!" Scotty yells out through the comm, making me gasp.

"What do we do?!" I gasp out, hanging onto the chair. "We're going to crash if it doesn't stop!"

My heart continues to stop, my stomach churned, I had to get to the baby. I could hear her crying, I knew she was! She had to be scared!

"Chasity. . ." I murmur and let go out of the chair as I quickly leave the bridge.

"Aria!" Uhura yells out as the elevator closes and ran out.
