"It's good to see you, Scotty!" The Captain smiled at Scott as we removed our helmets and I shake my head to get some lose hairs away from my face. Scott looks at Khan in question.

“Who is that?”

“Khan, Scotty.” James introduced. “Scotty, Khan.”

“Hello!” Scott beamed to him and Khan nods.

Khan hinted towards us. “They’ll know we’re here. I know the best way to the bridge.” We nod and get up and walk up somewhere, I take off my suit quickly and I was wearing a black skin tight suit underneath, and James hands Khan a gun and same with me and Scott.

“It’s locked to Stun.” James advised to us.

“Theirs won’t be.” Khan objected quickly to him and I roll my eyes without him knowing.

I take a deep breath when James added to him. “Try not to get shot.”

We begin follow Khan to the bridge where Marcus and Carol were, I was following behind James and Scott, yes, I brought up the rear to make sure no one came up behind us. I wasn’t terrified about it, in fact, James said I’m good at watching their backs without knowing.

“They’re gonna have full power and we’re walking!” Scott reminded us loudly.

“The turbo-lifts are easily tracked and Marcus would have us in a cage, this paths undertakes us to the Engine room. They know they won't be able to use their weapons here without destabilizing the warp core, which gives us the advantage.” Khan explained to Scott, and us I guess. While he pressing buttons, and I made sure no one was behind us and Khan continued on.

“Where did you find this guy?” asked Scott towards James.

“It’s a long story. . .” I whispered to him and we ran after him. As we made our way to the bridge we begin walking and Scott begins speaking again.

Spock looks at the transmission Uhura was nice enough to get for him, seeing Spock Prime for the question he was wondering.

“I will be brief. In your travels, did you ever encounter a man named Khan?”

Spock Prime sighs quickly, shifting his eyes. “As you know, I have made a vow never to give you information that could potentially alter you destiny. Your path is yours to walk, and yours alone.” Spock Prime began advising, Spock nodded and looks away, but Spock Prime continues. “That being said, Khan Noonien Singh is the most dangerous adversary The Enterprise ever faced. He is brilliant, ruthless, and he will not hesitate to kill every single one of you.”

“Did you defeat him?” questioned the present Spock in wonderment.

Spock Prime sighs and looks at him dead in the eye. “At a great cost, yes.”

Spock looks at him, his hope almost stopping, wondering what he meant by that. “How?”

“I don’t need to temp fate here, but where is everybody?”

And of course, Khan has an answer. “The ship is designed to be controlled by minimal crew, one if necessary.”

“One?” Scott was shocked, but then we were ambushed and I feel myself being picked up from behind. Oh my god, seriously!

I headbutt him in the face and kick him in the side when I had a chance, and I kick another one from me, and I see Scott and James fending for themselves, and when they finished, I pant as James helps Scott up.

“You both alright?”

“Yeah,” We both replied almost out of breath. “Where’s Khan?” Scott asked James looking around for Khan. I look around for him too.

‘I can’t trust Khan, I’m afraid he’s going to kill us all. . . I hope James knows this too. . .’ I thought and we began running to look for him.

“Where is he?!” Scott yells out in question and we round another corner to find him.

“Shit!” James cursed under his breath. I then turn my head when I heard Khan’s voice from behind us.

“This way,” and we look at one another and James begins to speak to us quietly.

“The minute we get on the bridge, drop him.”

“What, stun him? Khan?” Scott asked him and I finished it. “I thought he was helping us?”

“I’m pretty sure we’re helping him.”

When we got on the bridge, we begin stunning everyone on the bridge, except Carol and Marcus, James looks at Scott to give him the go on the stun, Scott skeptically nods his head and stuns Khan which knocks him out. I run up to Carol and ask her if she’s alright in which she nods to my question and I aim my stun gun at Marcus quickly like James. When Scott passes us, saying “Excuse me” to both of us and stands next to Khan’s unconscious body.

“Admiral Marcus, you are under arrest.” James affirmed to Marcus which he stands there, glaring at James.

“You’re not actually gonna do this, are you?” Marcus countered to him in question as I kept my glare on Marcus as I slowly walked to the other side of Carol.

“Admiral, get out of the chair.” James ordered him, I took a deep breath.

“You better stop and think about what you're doing, Kirk.” Marcus argued to James. “You better think about what you did on Kronos. You made an incursion onto an enemy planet, you killed a Klingon patrol. Even if you got away without a trace, war is coming!” Marcus’ voice got louder and I continue holding my ground. “And who is gonna lead us? You! if I’m not in charge, our entire way of life is decimated! So you want me off this ship, you better kill me.”

“He doesn’t wanna kill you, Admiral.” My voice held a cold tone towards him. James continued holding his gun I glare harder. “But he could stun your ass and drag you out of that chair-”

“I’d rather not do that in front of your daughter.” James finished for me and then looked at Carol in relief. “You alright?”

Carol nods with a breath. “Yes, Captain.”

Then, I didn’t hear anything beside me and I was jumped on the ground and slammed on my side, and I yelp in pain. And I hear Khan growl at me as he was trying to kill me.

“I should’ve killed you when I had the chance!”

“Why?” I growl in question. “What made you hate me so much, that you have to kill me!?”

Khan continued trying to strangle me, not answering my questions and I grunt kicking him off, then he goes after James, Carol sees this and calls out to James. As James looks back seeing Khan there and he lands a couple punches on James face, then kicks him and throwing him across the room, then he gets me again and tosses me and I hit the control panel with my injured side and I yell in pain and I land on the ground almost near James. Khan then looks towards Marcus who is trying to escape.

“Listen!” begs Carol. “Wait!”

Khan throws Carol aside, steps on her leg, breaking it and I gasp when he goes after Marcus. He then grabs Marcus’ head and begins to crush it, I look over in time to hear Khan growl at Marcus.

“You! You should have let me sleep!” Khan then continues crushing Marcus’ skull until it was fully crushed making Carol scream, James and I looked up in shock seeing blood everywhere, Khan dropped Marcus’ body like a brick, walking up to James and grabbed his arm dragging him up and I crawled to Carol as slowly as I could and touch her shoulder gently. I look over seeing Khan holding James at gunpoint, making me hold my breath, “I'm going to make this very simple for you.”

“Captain!” Spock called out, worried.

“Your crew for my crew.”

“You betrayed us.” Spock declared to Khan.

“Oh, your smart, Spock.” countered Khan who glared and James tried to struggle out of Khan’s grip.

“Spock, don’t-!” Before James could finish, Khan knocked him out and I was shocked, and Carol held onto me in pain, watching Khan talk to Spock.

“Mr. Spock, give me my crew.” ordered Khan to Spock.

“And what will you do when you get them?” wondered Spock, I knew he knew what Khan was planning, so I wasn’t worried.

“Continue the work we were doing before we were banished.” Khan replied to him.

“Which as I understand it involves the mass genocide of any being you find to be less than superior.”

“Shall I destroy you, Mr. Spock? Or will you give me what I want?”

“We have no transporter capabilities.”

“Fortunately, mine are perfectly functional. Drop your shields.”

‘Spock, the hell you doing?’ I thought in question.

“If I do so, I have no guarantee that you will not destroy the Enterprise.” Spock cautioned to Khan.

“Well, lets play this out logically then, Mr. Spock. Firstly, I will kill your Captain to demonstrate my resolve, then if yours holds, I will have no choice but to kill you and your entire crew.” Khan smirks towards Spock.

“If you destroy our ship, you will also destroy your own people.” Spock replies to him logically.

“Your crew requires oxygen to survive, mine does not. I will target your life support systems located behind the aft nacelle. And after every single person aboard your ship suffocates, I will walk over your cold corpses to recover my people. Now, shall we begin?”

“Spock. . .” I whimper under my breath, I knew Khan had him. Spock looked down quickly then ordered Sulu to lower the shields.

“A wise choice, Mr. Spock.” Khan commented with a smile. Then he walks towards James, kicks him aside towards me, and I grab onto his shoulders, holding him close to me, making sure he was okay. “I see all seventy-two torpedoes are still in their tubes. If they’re not mine, Commander, I will know it.”

Spock logically told him a lie, which sounded like not a lie. Vulcan’s in my opinion are confusing. “Vulcans do not lie. The torpedoes are yours.”

Khan beams all the torpedoes to the ship we’re on and James continues to struggle to get up.

“Thank you, Mr. Spock.”

“I fulfilled your terms, now fulfill mine.” Spock reminded him. Khan chuckles and turns to James as he continues to struggle.

“Well, Kirk, it seems apt to return you to your crew. After all, no ship should go down without her captain.”

Khan beams us on the Enterprise in the cell where Khan was, and I growl getting up trying to get out. The alarm was going off, I knew he was locking phasers on us, I then feel myself jerk to the side and slam against the wall, he was firing at us again. When a crew member let us out, the boys grabbed Carol as we ran off and we heard Spock say through the comm.

“The crew of the Enterprise, prepare for imminent proximity detonation.”

“What’s he talking about? What detonation?” Scott question us and we even didn’t know. But James instantly knew.

“The torpedoes! He armed the damn torpedoes!”

We continued to the medbay, and when finally got there, James called out to McCoy.

“Nurse!” McCoy yelled out and she grabbed Carol and sat her to the bed.

“Good to see you, Jim.” McCoy sighs in relief. James looked at him with excitement.

“You helped Spock detonate those torpedoes?”

“Damn right I did.”

“He killed Khan’s crew.” I added to the conversation.

“Spock’s cold, but he’s not that cold. I've got Khan’s crew.” McCoy said opening to the door to them. “Seventy-two human popsicles, safe and sound in their cryo-tubes.”

“Son of a bitch.” James smiled. I then feel myself jerk again, and I remembered something. And I ran to the engineering room making Scott and James look at me weirdly and followed me.

I scream when I feel the ship turning sideways, dammit! I couldn't find anything to grab so I was sliding down.

“James!” I scream out in fear and he saw me coming towards him and he grabbed my arm making me stop and he pulled me towards him and I held onto his waist. I feel the ship turning upside down and I held onto a little tighter, my head was spinning.

“There won't be time for evacuation if we don’t get power to stabilize the damn ship!” Scott urged us.

“Can we restore it?” questions James.

“Only from Engineering. We have to get back to the warp core.” Scott answered him when we started to get up. I then hear noise above us.

“James! Scott!” I yell out in worry seeing the debris.

“Aria! Scotty!” James yells out our names. “We have to get outta here!” We nod and quickly run off before the debris hits us, James yells out to us. See another opening in front of us. “We gotta jump!”

“What?!”

“Jump! Jump!”

“Oh, god!” Scott yells out as we all jump. And continue on and when we got into the engineering room, the ship began turning sideways I yell out as James wraps his arm around my waist making sure I don’t fall. When we began falling again, we heard a sound above us, and we saw a huge debris coming towards us and we grab onto the metal railing to keep from falling to our deaths, but Scott was slipping.

“Jim!” Scott yells out worriedly as his hand was slipping.

“Hold on, Scott!” I yell out with tears falling from my eyes, I was scared!

“I can’t!” Scott yells out and he slips off before I could grab him, James does and hangs onto him.

“James!” I gasp out worriedly. I reach down to Scott and try grabbing his hand but I was beginning to slip slowly. I saw James slipping and I was worried and terrified at the same time. “No!”

Before James could fall, Chekov saved him and I smile big while tears continue falling from my eyes. “Chekov!” I call out happy.

“I got you, Captain!” Chekov assured him and tried pulling him up. I held down my hand and grab Scott’s hand and help him up. When we got there, we got to the Warp Core. We stop quickly.

“Even if we get the warp core online, we still gotta redirect the power.” Scott analyzes it quickly.

“He’s right, Captain!” Both Chekov and I say to him.

“What are you talking about?!” James asks in a wondering tone.

“Someone has to hit the manual override.” I answer him making Scott nod and turn to Chekov.

“ Uh. . .Laddy, there's a switch. . .”

“It’s behind the deflector dish. I’ll bridge the switch!”

“Let’s go!” James yells out and we all start running again. We run off to the core again, something in my gut told me, something was going to happen. And it was bad.

“Oh, no! No! No! No!” Scott yells out when we heard the warning message.

“What?/What’s going on?” Both James and I begin asking.

“The housings are misaligned, there’s no way we can redirect the power! The ship is dead, sir. She’s gone.” Scott sadly stated and I was in shock. No. . .

“No, she’s not!” James boasted quickly and quickly ran off to the core.

“Wait, Jim!” Scott calls out and we follow him. I figured what he was doing, and tears unknowingly fell from my face. “If we go in there, we’ll die. Will you listen to me? What the hell are you doing?!”

“I’m opening the door!” James answered him. “I’m going in.”

I then remind James. “That door is there to stop us from getting irradiated! We’ll be dead before we made the climb.”

James pauses for a moment, as if he changed his mind, but he turns to us and says to us. “You’re not making the climb, Scott.” James knocks out Scott and puts him in the chair quickly buckling him in and looks at me and tears were falling from my face as I let out heavy breaths. “Neither are you, Aria, I can’t risk it, especially with Chasity around. Someone has to be there for her, especially since I won't be.”

“I understand, Captain.” I choked my tears back as he quickly kissed my lips, I savored it, his lips felt so soft against my own, it sent shocks through my veins and butterflies flew everywhere in my stomach, but I knew this moment wouldn't last long, before I realized it, he knocked me out and then put me in another chair and buckled me in and left.

When I woke up from being on the floor, I saw Scott go to the comm sadly, I gasped getting up and ran to the door and touched the door and saw James sitting there, and I let out a sob. He was dying. No!

“James, you’re an idiot!" I call out loudly too him, making sure he heard me. I knew I couldn’t open it, the decontamination process wasn’t complete and it would flood the compartment. “Why!? Why would you do this?! We can’t lose you, James!” I shout at him and cry harder. “What would Chasity say if she saw you like this?! What would she even think?!” I continue and sobs escaped my throat and I could barely breathe. My stomach was hurting, trying to catch my breath. My body hurt, my heart sank and my stomach churned. Everything just. . . hurt. There was literally no way to explain this to our daughter. “Why couldn’t you just let me come with you. . .”

“Engineering to bridge. . . Mr. Spock.” Scott announced through the comm, over my cries.

“Mr. Scott.”

“Sir, you’d better get down here. Better hurry.” Scott sadly replies to him and looks at me crying to James, telling how much of an idiot he is. Scott walks to me, touching my shoulder, I look at him and grab onto him and cry to his shoulder, he hugs me gently trying to soothe me, and when Spock sees me and Scott, then walks to the warp core to see James.

“Open it.” demands Spock looking at us when Scott let me go I landed on my knees and Scott ignored the demand and replied instead.

“The decontamination process is not complete, you’d flood the whole compartment. The door’s locked, sir.”

James looks at Spock weakly and asked him. “How’s the ship?”

“Out of danger.”

“Good.” James replies with a smile.

“You saved the crew.”

“You used what he wanted against him. That’s a nice move.” James complimented on Spock’s plan.

I was crying more, he was getting more weak.

“It is what you would have done.”

“And this. . . this is what you would have done. It was only logical.” James pauses and he looks at me quickly, then back to Spock. “I’m scared, Spock. Help me not be. How do you choose not to feel?”

“I do not know. Right now, I am failing.” Spock choked on his words as a tear fell from his face.

“I want you to know why I couldn’t let you die. . .why I went back for you.” James said to him.

“Because you’re my friend.” Spock answers and he starts to cry, Kirk places his hand against the glass, Spock does the same and they give each other the Vulcan salute before Kirk finally dies; behind Spock, Scotty is crying, Uhura rushes in and sees what's happened and she also starts crying, Uhura looks down to see me sobbing quietly, she bends down and grabs me gently, I then cry on her shoulder gently. But, we heard Spock yell out in anger

“KHAN!”

I was mad too, I couldn’t let James go, all those memories. When the decontamination was done, crew members grabbed James and took him to medbay.
