"(y/n)." His raspy whisper made you groan and shift in your sleeping state.

Another few moments went by before he gently shook your shoulders. "(y/n)."

Another mumbling of words met his ears and he sighed.

"Alright, I'm coming in."

Without another word, he lifted the covers of your bed and slipped in beside you, his furry arms wrapping around your curled-up body.

You whined a bit at the loss of warmth, but when you felt his breath across your back you blinked blearily, glancing at the nightstand to see the clock. 1:22 AM.

You slowly turned over to see him in his monster form, looking down at you with his black void of an eye.

Smiling sleepily, you leaned in and pressed a kiss to his dark gray fur. You snuggled into his chest as he nuzzled the top of your head, and you whispered to him.

"Tom, I love you, but don't wake me up."

With that, you closed your eyes, trying to get back to sleep as he shifted, slowly falling asleep himself.

While you knew he wouldn't be so warm in the morning, you couldn't help but admire how cute he was when he was sleeping in this form. He had a totally different vibe than he had when he was awake, more gentle and placid now.

Heaving a deep sigh, you waited a few minutes before you felt yourself begin to drift into a new, uninterrupted sleep.
