"(y/n), what'cha working on?" Eduardo asked as he walked by, eating a sandwich.
"Something top-secret!" She replied, not even looking up at him.
"Alright then." He nodded and walked out of the room.
...
Later on, Mark walked past her to get a drink from the kitchen.
"Hey, squirt," he greeted, tousling her hair. "What's that?"
"Something totally secret!" She replied, not looking up. She pouted a bit and fixed her hair before continuing her project.
"Fair enough." He shrugged, walking by. "You want a drink or something?"
"Some (f/soda) please!" She called.
...
Even later, Todd, who was currently home on leave, walked by, humming some cheery tune.
"Howdy there, (y/n)!" He greeted, pressing a kiss to her forehead. "Ooh! Is that for Jon?"
"Yep!" She nodded. "And nobody can see what it is yet!"
"Alrighty," he chuckled, walking past her to his room.
...
Finally, in the evening, while everyone was eating some ramen noodle dish that Todd had prepared (proudly calling it a University delicacy), she remembered the project.
"Oh yeah!" She brightened up, hopping off her chair. "Be right back, Daddy. I need to grab something real quick!"
She raced off to her room, coming back a few moments later with something behind her back.
"What is it?" Jon asked, turning to look at her.
"I worked super hard on it," she said seriously, "so don't make fun of it!"
"Why would I make fun of something you made, sweetheart?" He asked, concerned. "Let's see it."
Slowly, she pulled a piece of paper out, showing him a picture.
It was of both of them holding hands in front of a tree, with Eduardo, Mark, and Todd in the background on a picnic blanket. It was surprisingly well-drawn for a thirteen-year-old.
"Wow, that's beautiful!" Jon praised, beaming at his friends. "Look what (y/n) drew! Isn't it great?"
"Wow, you've got a real artist on your hands, Jonny!" Todd praised with a grin.
"Pretty good," Eduardo complimented, taking a sip of diet cola.
"Good job, (y/n)." Mark patted her on the shoulder with a smile.
She smiled shyly up at Jon, who set the drawing on the table next to his bowl and pulled her in for a hug.
"Thank you, sweetheart," Jon said, squeezing her for a second.
"No, thank you, Daddy." She replied, hugging back with just as much force.

A/N: Aww, wholesome dad Jon. And a cameo from Todd! (I'm still a little iffy on his personality, but I think I've got it down.)
Please tell me what you thought!
