CHAPTER 6

They had finally arrived at Nazz's house. Almost everyone in the cul de sac had shown up to help set up. Rolf, Kevin, Nat, Johnny, Ed, and Even Plank, but not Sarah and Jimmy because they were still too young. Everyone started to pitch in, Kevin and Nazz worked on the punch, and Johnny and Plank set up speakers and got the music ready. Rolf and Ed set up the decorations because they were the tallest and strongest of the bunch. And Edd and Eddy got the snacks ready, It wasn't much but Eddy took any chance he had to spend quality time with him.

They had poured out different flavours of chips in a bowl, and another with dip. Their hands touched for a moment whiles passing each other the chip bags, any slight touch sent shock waves down Eddy's spine.
He noticed Edd's blush whenever this happened. 'maybe he actually likes me kind of'' he thought 'maybe I actually have a shot at this'. It's not like he had to worry about Edd not liking guys. He already knew Edd was gay, he had never really shown any interest in girls, not even Nazz. Even when girls were interested in him he always turned them down, gently of course. And a he officially came out in the 10th grade to the whole cul de sac, not that they hadn't suspected. He was surprised when they all said they had a feeling that he was gay. So all he needed to worry about was making Edd fall for him.

(Time Skip)

The party had really started to pick up. He house was full of other class mates. The schools cheerleaders were here, student govs and even the whole entire foot ball team. 'Oh joy' He thought, this couldn't possibly end well. He just had to focus on getting Edd to like him, at least more than a friend. He noticed that Edd seamed uneasy.

"Hey Edd, you do'in alright?"
Edd was slightly startled by him though it was already really loud in the party.
"Huh?" he whipped his head towards Eddy.
" oh, yeah" he lied, he was really uncomfortable. He looked around , music was blaring through the speakers. He wasn't too into that kind of music. There were people grinding on each other. People trying to chug as much beer as they could hold down. Other people laughing and dancing.
He turned his head again and there were two girls he was unfamiliar with making out in the corner, probably already drunk. The mixter of loud music and alcohol smell was starting to make him sick. He really regretted not standing up for himself and saying no to the party. He was also mad at Eddy for dragging him into this mess. He looked around and there was the punch bowl Nazz had made earlier.

"Eddy, I'll be right back, I'm just going to get something to drink".
"Fine, I'll be here when you get back OK?"
"OK".
Edd left towards the punch bowl. He shoved past the dancing couples who according to him were dancing rather inappropriately especially for their age.
He picked up the soup spoon in the punch and poured himself a glass.
He took a big gulp, oddly to him it kind of burned going down and tasted kind of off. But he didn't really care, he was really thirsty and it quenched his thirst. He swallowed the rest of it down. A couple seconds later he started really calming down.
He let out kind of a disoriented sounding laugh. He started to pour himself another glass. Then another and another and soon he was up to six glasses of punch. He started feeling really light headed and his vision started blurring out.

( meanwhile)

20 minutes have passed and Edd still hadn't returned from getting his punch. Eddy was starting to get really worried something happened to him. He started looking around for him through the crowds of people and calling out his name.

( meanwhile ... Again)

Kevin and Nat were hanging out with the rest of the football team. Drinking cold beer from a can and taking shots.
" SO KEV" Nat yelled over the noise.
" BET THIS TAKES YOUR MIND OFF OF..."
" NAT!!" Kevin grumbled still upset about the break up with him and his Ex girl.
" WHAT?? YOU GOT TO GET OVER HER SOONER OR LATER" he looked over his shoulder looking at Double D dancing to the music with some of the other guests at the party.
"starting with getting yourself a new partner" Nat continued.
"WHAAAT?" Kevin yelled trying to here Nat over the loud chatter.
"NOW'S YOUR CHANCE! GO MAKE A MOVE ON DOUBLE CUTIE!!"

Kevin looked to where Nat was gesturing to. He saw Edd dancing. He looked at the way Edd swayed his hips to the rythem and copied the arm movements of the people surrounding him. It wasn't that bad of an idea. He did think that Edd was pretty attractive. And it's not like the dork was taken. So why not? He told Nat he'd be right back whiles Nat just yelled' go get 'em tiger' at the top of his lungs. Kevin rolled his eyes and made his way towards the dork.....

( meanwhile again again )

Eddy was starting to freak out. He looked for Edd everywhere and he was no where to be found. He hoped that he didn't bore Edd to death and make him leave. He sighed. He blew his chance to make a move on Edd. That was one of his few chances to make Edd fall for him he tried not to lose all hope yet.
He saw Nazz drinking some Pepsi and laughing with her friends.
He walked over to her....
"Hey Nazz.."
" Hey, Eddy, Soda?"
"Naw, I'm good but have......"
"Are you SURRRREEE you don't want any soda?"
"I'M SURE!!" he raised his voice trying to not get annoyed.
"OK then..."
"Nazz, have you seen Edd? He left to get punch and..."
"Wait.."
She then cut him off causing him to get even more annoyed. He was really starting to forget what he ever saw in her.
"That punch over there?" She pointed to the punch bowl which was the last direction he saw Edd go before he completely disappeared into the crowd. He nodded his head hesitantly, and her smile faded slightly.
"Someone spiked that punch a little while back, some people brought alcohol to the party. That's not really what I meant by bring snacks buuuuutt... I hope he didn't drink to much."
Eddy started to get even more worried. He thought of a drunk Edd just wandering around... alone...without him.
When he found him he wanted to give him a big hug and kiss him on the lips. And tell him he was sorry for bringing him to this stupid party.
He didn't have as much fun has he thought he would. He thought it would go something like, he brings edd to the party, he spends quality time with him. He gets to make his move and dance with for the rest of the night and hopefully walk out of the party with a boyfriend. But what really happened was, he takes Edd to the party, he bores him out of his mind, loses him. Spends the rest of the party alone and walks out empty handed. He sighed and decided to look for Edd one more time and then go home. He tried calling him several times before but decided to call again.

( Back with Edd and Kevin)

Kevin made his move on Edd. He had his arm around his tiny waist and was dancing with him. Their hips moved together in a unified motion and their gazes were locked on each other. Both guys were drunk, but sober enough to remember this come morning. The music was so loud that Edd didn't here his phone ringing.

( Back with Eddy)

Eddy sighed, he decided to give up. He would apologize to Edd in the morning. He really hoped that Edd could forgive him. And that this wouldn't affect his chances of ending up with him too much. He then left the party alone, empty handed and ashamed.

Sorry for the poorly written chapters. But I'll keep on writing this and trying to improve along the way.
