CHAPTER 41

Song of the chapter: The Resistance by skillet ( may not suit the chapter, but oh well )

(With Eddy and Marie [ Kittens p.o.v ] )

It was 9:45 pm. Eddy and Marie took turns driving since Marie was starting to get sleepy, they've been driving for nearly 24 hrs. They were starving, exhausted, and still haven't found their friend.

"MMMMEEEEEEEAAAATHEEEAD!" Marie whined.

"Goddamn it! What is it now Kanker?" He snapped. He was famished, exhausted and frustrated because he still hadn't found Edd.

"We've been driving all day since twelve am! I'm hungry, sleepy, and smelly from not showering today."

"Yeah, so?"

"So fucking pull over! We need FOOOOOD!"

"When do you not need food? You've been complaining for five fucking hours!"

"And you've been neglecting me for five hours. Just pull over, and let's but ourselves some burritos or something."

"Fine! We'll pull over! Just stop bitching and complaining already!"

He looked for the nearest exit on the road and pulled over. He didn't want to admit it, but he was starving too. But how can he eat in a time like this? His boyfriends life could potentially be at stake as far as they know.

By now they were pretty much in the middle if nowhere, they found themselves in a very small low populated town.

Eddy parked the car and Marie immediately got out streching out her limbs.

"AHHH! Finally!" She said in relief.

Eddy breathed in deep through his nose stretching, cracking his back.

"WOO! Its smells like ass out here!" He said.

"Smells like home!"

Eddy gave her a weird look, then shook his head.

"Whatever. Freak." He said.

They walked around a bit. They had parked in some kind of dirt lot. It was dark out, and very few cars drive by.

" 'The fuck are we?" Marie asked.

"Outside, dumbass." He retorted.

"Ha ha, very funny." She said rolling her eyes. "Now, where can we get some grub?"

"Uhh," he said looking around. "I dunno, let's look." He said walking off, Marie soon fallowing after him.

Soon they came across some Cafe, also in the middle of nowhere.

"Got any money on ya? I'm sorta broke." Marie said.

Eddy didn't know that she spent all of her money providing for her new baby brother.

Eddy groaned and dug through his pockets. Luckily he brought his wallet.

"Yeah, now let's go."

They walked inside.

There was only a couple other people in there. A middle aged biker dude with a blue spiky Mohawk and a heart tattoo on his upper bicep that had the word 'Mom' written across it.

There was and old couple smoking, they looked like they were in their nineties. And another lady who looked like a greaser chick from the sixties nursing a baby.

Eddy and Marie took a seat down and picked up the menus and scanned through it.

The waitress came over, she looked like she was at least fifty years old.

"Hi, I'm Nancy, I'll be your. Waitress tonight, or whatever." She said as if she didn't want to be there.

"Hi, um, can I get a Diet Coke?" Eddy said.

The last looked at him like he was high.

"Diet?" She said, then muttering something under her breathe. ".....stuck up....rich...who do they think we are?....." Was all he caught.

"If you don't have Diet Coke, then I can just have a water."

"Water? What? are you in debt?"

"No, I'm just watching my sugar intake..trying to stay fit."

"Is that so." She said not amused.

Marie was just there suppressing her laughter.

"What can I get you?" She said to Marie, eyeing her down.

"HEY!!What's with the stink eye lady?" Marie snapped.

"A girl your age shouldn't be dressed like a hussy."

"A what?!?" She snapped, but confused on what she meant.

"She called you a hoe, dumbass." He said laughing.

Marie's jaw dropped in utter disbelief and she stood up a little off her seat and slammed her fist on the table.

"Lady!! Do you want our money or not?! 'Cause we will leave this shit hole WITH our wallets, if you don't shut the fuck up and serve us our damn food!" Marie yelled.

Everyone was looking at us now. The old couple looked disgusted. The biker looked amused, and the nursing mother covered her babies innocent ears.

The waitress just stood there gawking at them.

The waitress shut up and took there orders.

(Time skip)

Eddy had ordered a kitchen sink salad and a glass of honey lemon iced tea, and Marie got a double bacon cheese burger with a giant glass of root beer.

"......yeah, so I didn't have the best luck with girls." Marie said finishing off her sentence.

"Wow, that must've sucked." Eddy said, trying his best to sound semi-sympathetic.

"Yeah."

".............."

"...did you see that Nancy's face when you told her off?" He said with a slight awkward laugh.
"Yeah, she looked so stupid." Marie said laughing.

"Ya know what meathead?" Marie continued.

"What?" He said ignoring the nickname.

"You're not as bad as I originally thought you were."

"Thanks. I guess?" He said. Marie laughing at him.

( With Edd and Kevin )

(Edd's p.o.v)

I tried my best to remain calm. It was difficult to relax, the ropes were beginning to irritate my skin, and it is difficult to breathe with the tape on my mouth. I want to get out if here, I'd rather be anywhere else on earth besides here.

I'm here, tied up, lying in the back seat, held captive by a lunatic, I don't know what he's capable of doing. How badly will he hurt me? What does he even want with me? He's the one who broke up with me, and now he's kidnaping me, forcing me to be in a relationship with him? This doesn't make any sense, this isn't the Kevin I once knew.

"WAKE UP!!"

My eyes shot open, and I wake up to Kevin violently shaking me.

"We're here babe~" he says sweetly.

He picked me up out of the car and slams in shut. We seam to be parked outside of some building.

"This is our new home baby" he said turning me towards the building.

He carried me into the building and took me up to our room. Are there no video surveillance cameras? Does no one see the mad man carrying his tied up struggling victim? Does nobody care?

He used the key to open up the apartment.

"Mgmbmpthh?" I struggled to speak.

"Yes, this is our new home."

"MMM MMM!!"

"I know I can't believe it either." He said with a grin on his face.

He locked the door shut .

I could see he already had some furniture unpacked here. Meaning he must've been planning this for months.

"So, now that we're here, want me to untie you?"

I nodded my head as quick as I could.

"Ok." He said plainly. He grabbed the end of the duck tape on my mouth and ripped it off quick like a band aid. I screamed in pain as I tasted some blood in my mouth from my bleeding lips.

I started to cry because of my very low pain tolerance.

"Don't cry." He said to me.

He untied the rope around me and threw it on the floor.

"There now you c....."

"KEVIN! WHAT THE HELL HAS GOTTEN INTO YOU!?"

"what..what do you mean?"

"YOU KNOW PERFECTLY WELL WHAT I MEAN!! HOW DARE TO TAKE ME TO CALGARY AGAINST MY WILL. AND VIOLENTLY RIP ME AWAY FROM EVERYTHING I HOLD DEAR IN LIFE!!"

"But babe..."

"Don't 'but babe' me!" I yelled braking down crying. "I want to go h-home."

"But Edd, you are home now."

"No! No I'm not! My home is in peach creek with Ed and Eddy and all of my friends! I can't stay here! I can't live here with you!"

I could see Kevin becoming angrier by the minute.

"How could you do this? Have you no conscience?!"

"SHUT UP!" He yelled. Grabbing my wrist and dragging me.

"Kevin! Let me go this instant!" I said struggling to get out of his grip.

" I loved you, and I gave you this beautiful home, and this is how you repay me Edd?!"

"You kidnapped me! No matter how hard you try, you can't keep me here forever Kevin! I WILL get out eventually!" I say determined to escape.

He opened one of the doors and threw me in, I stumbled and fell face first on the ground. I tried my best to get up as fast as I could to the doorway.

Kevin stood by the door with it partially open.

"I'm sorry Edd, but I'm afraid I can't let that happen. You're mine wether you like it or not, and you're never, getting away from me, no matter how hard you try, or complain." He said slamming the door shut.

I ran to the door and tried to get it open but it was locked from the outside.

"KEVIN! Kevin let me out!!" I said banging on the door.

"Sorry Edd, but your not leaving. There's a mattress on the floor for you to sleep." He yelled through the door.

I cried and screamed banging on the door, yelling for him to let me out. But he just ignored me.

My back slid down against the door and I barrier my face in my knees sobbing.

It's hopeless, I'm never getting out of here! I might as well give up and accept the fact that I'm never going to see Eddy again.

I looked around the room.

It looked almost empty.

It had an old mattress on the floor with a pillow and thin blanket that looked like it would only cover half of my body.

It had a bucket in the corner that was labeled 'toilet'. Which made me shutter in disgust. He expected me to use the washroom in a bucket? He really does intend to keep me locked in this room until I die of natural causes.

The only escape from this room was the single window. I got up and walked over to it and looked out.

I could see hundreds on people walking outside, they all looked as tiny as the ants from my ant farm from distance between me and the concrete below. If I were to escape out the window, I would surely fall to my death.

There is no escape.

I didn't get any sleep this night, I laid awake thinking of every possible way out of here.

(With Eddy and Marie)

"It's almost midnight, we'll have to get a hotel for the night."

"Yeah." He said depressed.

They were driving all day and they still hadn't found Edd.

He just wanted Edd to be back by his side. He just wanted to know that he was safe.

Eddy couldn't help but feel like this was all his fault. If he hadn't left Edd all alone that night, then maybe he would still be here by his side.

Soon they found a cheap hotel.

They checked in and got the key to there room.

"215, this is it." Eddy said.

"Ok, let's go in then."

Eddy opened the door and they went inside.

They looked around and instantly felt queazy.

Their room was a dump!

There was a giant hole in the wall, it has some suspicious stains, and it smelt like puke and shit combined.

"..motherfucker." He said under his breathe.

"Mother fucker is right" Marie agreed, "but it'll have to do for tonight." I'll be in the shower."

Marie walked into the washroom and left Eddy alone.

Eddy sat on the bed and it made a loud creaking noise as the mattress sunk down.

"On second thought, maybe I won't use the showers after all." Marie said rushing out of the bathroom. Taking a seat next to Eddy, sinking down into the mattress.

She noticed Eddy looking down at his lap, depressingly.

"You ok dude?"

"..this is all my fault."

"What? What do you mean?"

"It's my fault Edd is gone, maybe if I was.."

"Don't say that, it's not your fault. It's Kevin's fault and his fault alone."

"..what if I never see him again? Marie, what if Kevin..." He trailed off starting to tear up.

"Eddy, don't say that! Edd is just fine!"

"How do you know that?"

"Because, he's tougher than he looks, he's been through a lot in the past and he's still standing. If he could survive all of that then, then he can survive all of this now. He's going to be fine. Because we're gonna get him back. Tomorrow. We'll have him back by sundown. We'll leave first thing in the morning. Ok?"

Eddy nodded still looking down.

"Good, now get your rest and build back your confidence, you'll need your never-give-up attitude when getting Edd back tomorrow. Good night Eddy."

She said calling him by his actual name. They both crawled into bed and tried there best to get some sleep.

They'd need their energy for the next day.

Welp! I hoped you enjoyed this chapter, there's only going to be a few more chapters, I'm working on them all little by little. There should be approximately four more chapters left. If I don't update often after this, don't blame me, my anxiety hasn't been treating me nicely lately, so I feel really sick. See you at the next update, bye for now.
