CHAPTER 39

WARNING: Has the use of fowl language, a lot..to be exact. If that bothers you, then DO NOT complain about it, because I warned you, and you can't say I didn't. Some scenes are..well, upsetting. May or may not be poorly written and have typos. Enjoy.~

Finally, I'm back in the cul de sac, and back from the hospital.

I would've won that fight! If that douche bag Jake didn't cheat! They're no WEAPONS in a fist fight!

Asshole.

Anyway, I came back to see Edd. Wanted to know how he's doing and stuff. Also wanted to..apologize...WHICH IS SOMETHING I'D NEVER DO! ..for just leaving in the middle of the night without saying goodbye.

But life sucked here in peach creek.

Full of morons, homophobes, transphobes, intolerant asshats, you name it! Plus, I didn't want to be around..you know who.. After the break up.

Our mom was arrested, she gave birth before she was arrested to our younger brother George. Whored around with another man.. Not that I should be surprised. Me, Lee and May all have DIFFERENT fathers. And our Ma was never around anyways since she usually gets herself arrested. And now, we're stuck taking care of our baby bro, I mean, he's not that bad, BUT CHANGING DIAPERS SUCKS ASS! George is with May, she's good with kids, she's stupid, but good with kids.

Then I see this guy run out of Edd's house and into a black van.

I caught half of his license plate before he drove away.

What the fuck was he doing at Edd's house?

I just brush it off and go to a curb, I light a cigarette and take a long puff. Smoking is the only thing that keeps me sane these days. I make sure not to do it around George and May because she has asthma.

I spend about half an hour smoking until I see  Shithead running out of Edd's house like a maniac.

Yah know, shit head? Lee's "ex man".

I walk up to him to se what the fuck he's carrying on about.

"EH SHITHEAD!" I holler at him. He looks at me like he's seen a ghost.

(Eddy's p.o.v)

What the hell am I going to do!? How am I supposed to find Edd? All I have is this note.

I can't call the cops because I don't wanna risk Edd's life! And I can't ask for help because I can't get anyone else involved.

I have to go now! Something like this can't wait until the morning.

Fuck school! Edd's more important. I'm not resting until I get my boyfriend back.

I grab some stuff and anything that can be used as evidence and run out the door.

I head towards my car.

"EH SHITHEAD!"

I whip my head around. Who the fuck was that? I feel like I've heard this voice before in the past. But I don't think it's someone I really know.

The guy steeped into the light of the streetlights.

"M-Marie?!?" What the hell?! What's SHE doing here?! I haven't seen her I like.. In a year or two, maybe three..I thought she died or something.

"Congratulations! Dumbfuck, you have EYES" she said the last part widening her eyes in exaggeration.

"What the fuck do you want? Can't you see I'm busy?!" Me and Marie, don't get along..at all.

"Wow, not even a simple 'hello' or 'how've you been'? Learn some manners bitch."

"Look you little.."

"So, what's all the chaos about?"

"I'm busy!"

"Busy doing what?!"

"I ... I can't tell you ok.."

"And why not? You know what? I don't have time for this bullshit, where's Double D? He's the only reason I even bothered coming back to this hellhole."

(Marie p.o.v)

He looked angry, and hurt, like I struck a nerve.

"He's.. He's gone ok! Let's just leave it at that."

Then I had a flashback to the guy in the fan who ran out of Edd's house.

I remember seeing him carry something..

Then it hit me like a ton of bricks.

"..Edd....oh no.."

"What? Did you see him!?!?!"

"He took him.."

"Who?!? WHO TOOK HIM?!"

"Th-the GUY, in the van! THE GUY IN THE VAN!"

"What guy in a van?!"

"...."

"Marie! I don't have time for these games! This is actually important."

"..."

"The ONE TIME I actually WANT you to talk..."

"We gotta get him back..."

"Yeah I kno...we? No. I have to do this alone."

"What?!? No! I care about Edd too! You're not his only friend you know."

"No! I have to do this alone! For his safety..I don't think I could ever live with myself if anything ever happened to him.."

That last part made me raise an eyebrow..

"Jeez, you sound like your dating him or something...."

"...." He just looked at me with a look I couldn't explain.. I don't know if it was sadness, or anger.. Or..screw it, I'm not good with feelings.. That's probably why I lost...Jen.

Then realization hits me again..harder than the last time...like an anvil.

"W-what? NOOOO!!? How long have I been gone?!?"

"I don't know, a long time."

(Time skip)

(Eddy's p.o.v)

So Marie's helping me now..she insist that since she figured it out herself.. And she chose to get involved and I didn't make her. She better be right! Because if anything happens to Edd. I'm blaming her right after I blame myself.

"....this doesn't make any sense.." She said re-reading the note over and over. "Maybe if I read it out loud, this still will give us some clues.."

She clears her throat..

"Eddwards mine, and only mine.
Come anywhere near us, and your as good as dead. And you better not call the cops. Or get a-any-one else in-volved.."

"Your ass should've stayed in school! You can barely even READ properly!"

"SHUT UP!" Her face reddened a bit out of embarrassment.

"Now..as I was saying.. You wouldn't want anything to happen to Edd. Would you. So stay the fuck away shrimpy. Or you'll..."

"Read that last part again.." I said interrupting her.

"Oh..ok...? ..you wouldn't want anything to happen to Edd. Would you. So stay the fuck away shrimpy."

"THAT'S IT!!"

"What d'you mean shithead?"

"SHRIMPY!"

"......?"

She just looked at me like I was high.

"There's only ONE person who calls me shrimpy."

"....? Who..?"

"Shovelchin."

"Kevin?" She asked confused.

"Yeah!"

"..man I knew Kevin was a total NUT since childhood, but do you ACTUALLY THINK that he would kidnap Edd?"

"YES! This is JUST LIKE KEVIN! That dickhead.."

"What would he want with Edd.."

"...Kevin is Edd's...."

"...."

Man, it kills me to say this.

"Ex."

"Oh..well. Makes sense.. Crazy ex's kidnapping you.."

"You say that like it happens all the time.."

She started walking away towards Edd's kitchen.

We're in his house looking for clues.

"...'cause it does...don't you have a crazy ex?"

"...no.. Do you?" I asked.

"Bitch! I AM the crazy ex!"

She went into Edd's kitchen and started looking through it.

"What're you doing!?"

"Can't solve a mystery or crime case on an empty stomach.....doesn't this guy have normal food!! What does he eat? Carrots?!?"

"Edd's vegetarian."

"Oh yeah, I forgot about that."

I just rolled my eyes at her.

She grabbed an apple and started eating it...

"Mmmmnng.....juicy.."

I cringed since she still had food in her mouth..disgusting.

"...wonder what kind what Apple it is...pink lady? red and delicious?"

"It's honey crisp ok?!? Now stop wasting time! Double D's in danger! God knows what that psychopath is doing to him!"

"Ok, ok, jeez.."

"Now, what's the plan!?"

"Ok, this is what we're going to do.."

(With Kevin and Double D)

My eyes slowly opened..

I had a splitting headache. And there was a really bright light. I rubbed my eyes and looked around.

Where am I? This isn't my house?! I looked out the window, trees, buildings, and cars moved past us. It would seam as though I'm in some sort of large vehicle.

"Sleep well darling?"

Darling? Who is that? Where am I?! What's going on?!

"Calm down.. You're safe.. With me." He said, as if he were reading my mind.

Wait. That sounded like..Kevin?

"Kevin? What are we doing, what's going on?!"

"Relax Edd" he said in a dark tone that sent chills up my spine. "we're leaving, FAARR AWAY from hErE!" His voice sounded kind of disoriented and creepy.

"What do you mean we're going far away from here?! Kevin? What's going on, you're scaring me."

"DOn'T Be sCareD! You're SAFE with ME!"

"Kevin! Pull over at once! This is ridiculous."

"What do you mean? Edd? Our love isn't ridiculous."

"Love? Kevin, I do not love you! Not anymore! Just stop this, turn the vehicle around."

"THEN I'LL MAKE YOU LOVE ME!"

" KEVIN!" I screeched, I took a deep breathe to calm myself down. "Kevin, listen to me. You cannot make someone love you, you cannot make me feel something I do not. Just stop this foolishness and take me home, please?"

"NO! I don't BELIEVE YOU! And we ARE going home, our knew home, in Calgary."

"You're taking me all the way ALBERTA?! Kevin!"

"Yeah, and we'll live together and no one will bother us, not even that DORK Eddy."

Eddy.. I miss him. Kevin's taking me far away from him. I started crying.

"Don't cry little one, we'll be happy soon"

"NO! I won't!! I want to go HOME! My REAL home! In peach creek! Our friends! Our family! Kevin, you CLEARLY have not thought this th-rough." I said, at this point, giant tears were pouring down my face.

"OH! But I DID think this through! We don't need them, all we need is each other!"

"Each other? I love Eddy now, not you!"

"ONE MORE WORD ABOUT EDDY AND I'll!

"You'll what?!" I yelled back. "Kill me?!"

"I might if you don't SHUT UP NOW!"

I closed my mouth and laid back down on the seat crying and shaking in fear.

Somebody, please save me.

(Eddy's p.o.v)

"We'll track his cell, and, if all else fails.. I saw his licence plate number, I wrote it down before I could forget."

"How are we gonna track his phone?"

"I have my ways.."

I can't lie, I'm kind of impressed..kind of.

"Ok! So what are we waiting for let's go."

She pulled out her phone and tapped on some tracking app. I let her do her thing.

"Found him!"

"What? So fast?"

"Yeah, told you I have my ways."

"Looks like he's on the move." She continued "Ok, let's fallowing him! Got a car?"

Wow! Two chapters in ONE DAY! I feel accomplished!
