Chapter 7

WARNING: no warnings for this chapter, it will have fluff, it will be gay, and it will be relatively short compared to my other chapters.

Ps: Narator speaking is when it says 3rd person, Kittens p.o.v or Alex's p.o.v. There will be no characters named Alex, unless I decide to base one off myself. Which I won't, because I've already put a little bit of my personality into ever Jesus character in the book.

(Kitten's p.o.v)

That night Edd and Eddy slept on opposite sides of the bed. Edd was really upset about the way Eddy reacted when he told him that he was pregnant. He understood that something like that was quite difficult to comprehend. And yeah, he kind of saw this coming, but he still wished that Eddy would've just accepted it and acted happy about them becoming parents.

It was Saturday morning.

Eddy walked down the stairs wearing his pyjamas. He saw Edd making scrambled eggs in a frying pan.

He felt really guilty about last night. He saw that Edd was genuinely upset about the way he acted when he told him the news.

He still wasn't able to really believe that Edd was telling the full truth. But, he didn't like seeing Edd upset, and he looked really serious.

Even though he saw Rave when he was pregnant with Crystal, he still refused to believe what he was seeing.

He didn't like to admit it, but he could be kind of adamant.

People with female parts give birth, and people with male parts don't.

And that's that.

That's the way it always was, and that's the way it always would be.

And it would take a miracle to change his mind that is protected in his skull that is as thick and hard as steel.

(Eddy's p.o.v)

I walked up to Edd making scrambles eggs, he seamed tired and his mind seamed to be somewhere else.

"Morning babe, sleep well?" I said trying to spark a conversation with him.

He didn't answer.

"How long have you been up?" I asked another question.

He still didn't answer me, he just kept on whisking the eggs.

"Hey, can you here me?" I said raising my voice a bit. He still didn't answer.

"You can't ignore me forever you know."

He paused for a second, then continued what he was doing.

"*sigh*" I walked up to him and hugged his back. "Bab- Edd. Look, I'm really sorry...."

"What for." He said in a deadpan tone of voice.

"You know, for the way I reacted when you told me that you're......pregnant. I'm sorry, that wasn't a very cool thing for me to do. I hope that you can find it in yourself to forgive me."

Edd stopped and looked up from what he was doing as if he were listening to what I was saying.

"...and I promise that I will be there for you.....and the baby."

(My p.o.v again.)

Edd dropped the wooden spoon that he was holding and gave Eddy a big and tight hug.

"Oh Eddy." He said softly burying his face in his chest.

Eddy returned the hug and petted his silky soft hair

He felt his shirt start to get wet and he heard soft sniffling noises like someone was crying. After a couple seconds he noticed that Edd was that someone.

He lifted up Edd's chin so that he could see his face clearly.

He had tears pouring down his cheeks.

"Baby, why are you crying?" He said concerned.

He soon noticed a small smile form on Edd's face.

"thank you." He said softly.

"Why are you thanking me?" He said softly caressing Edd's cheek.

"Because...you said that you were going to be there for me and the baby."

"Of course Edd, I love you."

"Does this mean you finally believe me?" He said with eyes full of hope.

"...uh, yeah...of course I believe you darling."

Edd let out a small exited squealing noise has he gave Eddy an even tighter hug.

He had a huge grin, and he looked completely overjoyed.

He half lied. He didn't fully believe that Edd was pregnant. He thought it was a combination of being really sick, and his lack of proper sleep. Edd couldn't possibly be pregnant, he's a guy.

But Eddy didn't want to ruin it for him, he seamed to be very happy.

(Time skip)

........"don't mind him Edd, he'll see that you're telling to truth sooner or later." Rave said trying to comfort Edd.

He had eventually figured out that Eddy didn't really believe him, and he only said all of that nonsense so that He would stop giving him the cold shoulder.

"Hopefully sooner, I need him to help me prepare for the baby. You know, pick out names and clothes, and buy furniture like cribs."

"You don't need Eddy to do that for you, I can help you with buying things for the baby! You can even have some of Crystals old baby stuff. She's almost three, she's outgrown some of her baby toys and clothes. Some of her outfits could work for both boys and girls, like her striped shirt."

"Awe, that one was so cute." Edd said getting exited already.

"I know! Buts she's too big for it now, you can have it if it fits."

"That's very kind of you Rave."

"No problem, did you book an appointment already?"

"Appointment?"

"Yes Edd! You have to book an appointment to get an ultrasound? You need to know how far along you are in the pregnancy! And if the baby is going to be healthy. That's important."

"I know it is, but how am I supposed to do that if Eddy won't even believe me?! He says he does, but I know that's not the truth." He said rubbing his temples in frustration.

"Daddy! Look!" Edd heard a faint voice over the phone.

"Not now Crysi, daddy's on the phone...oh, very good!"

"What is it?" Edd asked out of curiosity.

"Crystal drew me a picture with her new crayons."

"Awe, of what?"

"It's a, umm, I .. Don't really know."

Edd covered his mouth to stifle his laughter.

All of this was just making him even more exited about having a baby.

"Look Edd, I have to go now, Crystals hungry. Make sure to go see a docter. Bye!"

Rave hung up before Edd could return his farewells.

Just then Eddy came walking into the living room with a glass of orange juice.

"Eddy, can we talk please?"

"Yeah sure hon whats up?"

He said wiping his mouth sitting down next to Edd on the couch.

"I was thinking that we should book a doctors appointment."

"why? Are you sick? Babe I knew it you....!"

"No silly, for the baby." He said with a smile.

"Oh..yeah. Look I Edd..I know that you think.."

"Eddy! I thought you said that you believed me!? You were lying!?" Edd said obviously hurt.

"No! Edd, its not like that..!"

"I can't believe you Eddy!" Edd exclaimed storming off.

"Edd! Think about it.." Eddy said chasing after him "...guys getting pregnant, that doesn't make any sense!"

"I know that it doesn't make any sense! But why can't you just trust me that I'm telling the truth!?"

"Edd! I ..I can't!"

"Why not!" Edd said angrily turning around to face Eddy.

"It's impossible! It's like the same as saying cows can grow wings and fly over the rainbow."

"Eddy, don't be ridiculous! That's the most preposterous thing I have ever heard in my young life!" Edd said crossing his arms.
"But fine, if that's how you feel, then I'll just book an appointment myself."

"*sigh* fine, you do that." He said walking into a different room.

(Time skip to a week later cuz I'm lazy.)

It was the day of the appointment.

Edd was standing by the front door gathering all the things he would be needing. Such as his healthcard, keys, and jacket.

Eddy walked into the living room noticing that Edd looked like he was leaving to go somewhere.

"Where are you going? Its a Saturday and 7 o'clock in the morning. I thought you were sleeping in?"

"My appointment is today, remember?"

"Edd.."

"Eddy I know that you don't believe me, but this is very important. For the baby and for me. I have to go now or I'll be late."

He said opening the door.

"Wait Edd!"

"What is it now Eddy!?"

"Why...why don't I come with you?"

"...Eddy, but I thought that.."

"I know, but I wanna come too now."

Eddy said, when in reality he just wanted to prove to his love that he was delusional and needed to come back to bed with him right now and get some much needed sleep. Of course, when he was proved to be wrong, he wouldn't penalize Edd for it.

"Umm, OK. If you really want to." He said with a small smile.

"I do, let's go!" He said grabbing his hand leading him to Edd's car.

(Time skip again)

The doctor had called both of them in.

"Hello, my name is Dr.Harley and I will be your doctor for today whiles Dr.Rick .M. Harper is out of town. How are you feeling?"

"Quite fine actually, thank you for asking."

Eddy just sat aside from the two silently observing.

"As you may know I've actually been studying male pregnancies."

(A\N: I don't know wtf I'm talking about 😅 I must sound like a moron!)

"Is that so?" He said giving Eddy a look.

Eddy still didn't look convinced.

"Did you know that 1 in 500 men have the ability to bear a child?"

"No I did not know that!" Edd said over enthusiastically.

She smiled and pulled out 3 different charts. One with the male anatomy, one with the female anatomy, and another chart with the male anatomy slightly different from the other.

"This," he said with a pointing stick. " is the female body, here, is the uterus and the ovaries."

(A/N: yes. Yes it was necessary for me to include images.)

"This here, is the average male body WITHOUT the uterus and no reproductive system."

"But, this here, is similar to your anatomy. This here is an organ that acts just like a uterus. Which allows for men to become impregnated if engaging in sexual intercourse with another male."

"But, because they are male, and not originally built for giving birth, like a woman." She continued. "Your pregnancy and birth will be somewhat different from that of a woman. And you may encounter some complications with the pregnancy."

"Complications?" Edd asked concerned.

"Oh you know, premature birth, minor birth defects, the body rejecting the baby if not prepared for bearing a child. But I'm sure you'll be fine!" She said cheerfully.

What was with him and having weird docters?

Edd stared at her with a look of horror.

"Are you positive that I will be fine?"

"Oh sure! Now let's get you prepared for the ultrasound!"

He instructed Edd to lay down as she hooked him up to some machines. She rubbed a very cold jel on his stomach.

"Ok, i'm getting a heart beat, that's good. Oh look! there it is!" She said motioning to the screen.

A tiny little fetus showed up on the black and white screen. It resembled a lumpy jellybean

"Isn't it a little cutie patootie!"

Eddy looked at the screen in disbelief. He couldn't believe what he was seeing. He couldn't believe that he was wrong.

Edd stared at the child in awe.

That was his baby, his very own child to love and protect.

"Look Eddy~ that's our baby."

"Edd, I.. I don't know what to say..."

"How about an apology?" He said with an eyebrow raised.

"Baby, I'm so sorry, I really am. I shoul've believed you from the start."

"..." Edd was just about to say something before he was so rudely interrupted.

"I'm sorry to interrupt this touching moment but would you like to know the gender?"

The couple shared a knowing glance.

"I think we would like it to be a surprise, thank you." Edd said with a smile.

"*sigh* very well then." She said sounding disappointed like she wanted to tell them. "but if you ever change your mind, just ask at the next appointment. "

"OK. Thank you."

"Alright then, you are 2 months pregnant, so you will be giving birth in approximately 7 months. Congratulations! I wish you luck."

Eddy looked at his little baby.

This must've been the miracle it took for him to believe.

(Eddy's p.o.v)

I honestly can't believe my eyes, even though I know what I'm seeing is real.

I'm going to be a dad.

This is......amazing!

I can't wait to teach the kid how to play baseball. I don't care if its a boy or a girl or whatever, the kid will learn how to play ball.

I looked over at Edd.

He was staring at the unborn child lovingly. I feel so guilty for treating him like crap. I should've just believed him from the start.

I can't wait.

My dad was a deadbeat. A drunk who was never home.

I promise this baby that I will not be any of those. I will be there for them and accept them for who they are. Unlike our homophobic piece of shit parents.

My brothers out of jail. I'm keeping him as far as possible from both Edd and the baby. Not after what he did at our last family reunion. No way in hell I'm letting him near my new family.
Even if we are related.

"Eddy, there's something important I have to tell you."

I leaned in closer to my gorgeous boyfriend.

"...... I told you so." He said softly in my ear.

I chuckled giving him a kiss on the cheek.

"I know you did baby."

Ok! I lied! That wasn't short at all! Actually kind of long compared to my last chapters! I just thought it would be, since I write the warnings BEFORE writing the full chapter like the idiot I am, so sometimes they're inaccurate. Don't forget to comment what you want the baby to be named/ who you want them to look like (I.e: Edd's blue eyes, Eddy's noes. ( in previous chapters I said that he was actually mistaken for a girl.)
