Chapter 34- I've got to go!

Grant was on the phone with the recording studio, wanting him to come in, sign paperwork, and to let the band know they were done with putting the album together. They had a copy waiting for them to listen to, and to see if there were any changes needed to be done.

While the band was on their way to Idaho to play in their state fair, Grant stopped into the recording studio, did what he had to do, and to grab the album before flying out to Boise.

While holding the first copy of the cd in his hands, he felt excitement, and couldn't wait to see Logan's face when he hands it over to him.

"After the bands approval, we'll need to have pictures taken of the band, and for them to choose the one they want for the cover." The manager explained to Grant.

"I'll get right on that, they're on their way to Idaho right now, I'll talk to Logan, and see what he says." He shook her hand, and smiled "We'll be in touch."

Grant left the studio in smiles, he knew he had chosen the right band over seven years ago, and now wished he had done this sooner for them. It came at the right time, Bodhi was set to deliver the twins soon, as well as Logan and Bodhi's wedding.

While on the plane, Grant couldn't hold off any longer, he got out his laptop, put on his headphones, and placed the cd into cd drive, and began listening to the music. He smiled, bopped his head up and down, and used his pencil to beat along to the music.

He looked at the man sitting next to him, and pulled out one of the headphones in his ear and chuckled "Don't mind me, I'm just listening to the next best band of your time, and they're the best you'll ever hear." He placed the headphone back into his ear, and listened to the entire cd, before landing.

For hours, Bodhi kept feeling cramping, assumed it was from traveling, and never said anything to Logan, or the doctor. While the band was rehearsing, she found a chair to sit, and laid her head back, closing her eyes. She was at the point she couldn't wait for the twins to be born, and for her to have her body back. Lately, she had been uncomfortable, her back hurt, couldn't sleep, and hated that she waddled every time she walked.

"Where's Grant? I haven't seen him since we left Nebraska." Brooklyn asked, feeling concerned.

Logan looked at the time, and wasn't too worried, since the concert didn't begin for another couple hours "He said he had to go back home to deal with some things, and that he should be here before the concert begins."

"Is it because of a girl?" Brooklyn asked snickering.

Logan shrugged his shoulders, and set his guitar down. He looked over to where Bodhi was standing, and saw that she wasn't there "Anyone see where Bodhi went?"

"She left the room a while ago." said Sam.

Logan set his guitar down and looked at Rick "I'll be right back, I'm going to make sure she's doing alright, she looked wiped out when we arrived here." He left the room, walked around, and spotted her in a chair, sleeping. He walked over to her, kneeled, and began lightly rubbing her stomach. He heard her moan a little, and stopped. "How are you doing?"

With her eyes closed, she sighed "I'm sore, tired, and that felt good, you shouldn't have stopped."

"Just think, they'll be here next week."

"I wish it was today, I can't take it any longer."

The doctor happened to be walking by, saw Bodhi and Logan, and walked over to them. He noticed a difference in the coloring on her face, and saw how stressed she looked. "How are you doing, Bodhi?"

Logan looked up, stood up, and shook the doctor's hand "Can you check her out, she's looking a little flustered and is complaining about tightness in her stomach."

"Sure thing." He didn't think that sounded good, and placed the back of his hand on her forehead "I'll be right back, I'm going to grab my bag from the other room."

Logan leaned down, and kissed Bodhi "I have to go finish rehearsing, and make sure all our equipment is set up correctly on the stage."

"OK." she says, kissing him back.

"Let's go find a private room, and see what's going on." Doctor Jeffrey said as he held out his hand to help her up. They found a room with a chair, table and cot, and had her lay down. Getting out his laptop, he looked at her with concern "Anything abnormal you've noticed today?"

"Well, I've been feeling a little cramping in my stomach and lower back... but it comes and goes."

"Let's take a look, and make sure there is nothing going on that we need to address."

He began examining her, and listened to the babies heartbeats. "This baby here sounds normal, but the other baby I'm not liking the sound..."

"What do you mean?" Bodhi asked worried.

"It's slower than normal... give me a moment, and will look into it." he says, grabbing his wand, and changed the screen on his laptop. As he moved the wand around, he noticed something that he didn't like and stood up "We need to get you to the hospital right away."

Bodhi sat up with a look of fear in her eyes, and began shaking "Will you find Logan for me, please?"

Doctor Jeffrey got on his phone, left the room, and called the hospital. As he was on the phone, he wandered around looking around for Logan, while explaining to the hospital staff what was going on with Bodhi, and that he was bringing her in. He stopped a security guard, asking if he had seen Logan anywhere, shook his head no, and walked away. Shit, he muttered.

He heard the music begin to play on stage, and started sprinting over to the stage, until he heard Bodhi squealing in pain, and turned around. As he ran to Bodhi's aide, he ran into Brooklyn "Oh thank God I found someone."

"I have to run, I'm late." she said, trying to push past him.

The doctor held firmly onto her arms, and got in her face "Let Logan know that I'm bringing Bodhi into the hospital, and that the twins will be here within the next couple hours." he demanded, giving her a shove towards the stage.

She froze, her eyes widened, and once it sank in, she ran to the stage. As she ran onto the stage, Logan introduced her, pointed to her, and gave her a disapproving look for being late. She waved to the crowd, then looked at Logan, trying to get him to come over to her.

He ignored her, and started off with the concert. Brooklyn moved her way over to Sam, and leaned into his ear "I think Bodhi is in labor."

Sam raised an eyebrow, and quickly moved over to Kurt, explaining that they needed to get Logan's attention when they finished with the current song. Logan kept going with the songs, ignoring his friends, and kept looking over in Grants direction wondering where Bodhi was.

During the guitar solo, he walked over to Sam "Yo, anyone know where Bodhi is?"

"We've only been trying to get your attention since the concert started, she's in the hospital."

"What? For what?"

Sam's eyes widened, surprised he was being that ignorant "Why do you think? Brooklyn was told she might be delivering the babies tonight."

Logan, quit playing the guitar, and stood there in a daze. He got pale in the face, and felt as if he were about to faint. Sam smacked Logan in the back of the head, and shook him "Earth to Logan, are you there?"

Logan shook his head and muttered "I'm here." Not knowing what to do. He knew he had a concert to finish, but also wanted to be with her, especially if she was about to deliver his children, and didn't want to miss that for anything.

He stopped the concert, grabbed the mic, and looked at the crowd "I'm sorry about stopping like this. I just got news that my fiancé was brought into the hospital, and looks like I'll possibly be a father tonight, so, on that note... I will sing a song in dedication for my kids who may possibly be born tonight."

Tim looked at Sam and scratched his head "Which song is he singing?"

"I guess we'll find out in a second." he says, shrugging his shoulders. He instantly knew the song the moment Logan began strumming, and relaxed knowing it was song they all knew.

Well I just heard the news today
It seems my life is going to change
I close my eyes, begin to pray
Then tears of joy stream down my face

With arms wide open
Under the sunlight
Welcome to this place
I'll show you everything
With arms wide open
With arms wide open

Well I don't know if I'm ready
To be the man I have to be
I'll take a breath, I'll take her by my side
We stand in awe, we've created life

With arms wide open
Under the sunlight
Welcome to this place
I'll show you everything
With arms wide open
Now everything has changed
I'll show you love
I'll show you everything

With arms wide open
With arms wide open
I'll show you everything, oh yeah
With arms wide open, wide open

If I had just one wish
Only one demand
I hope he's not like me
I hope he understands
That he can take this life
And hold it by the hand
And he can greet the world
With arms wide open...

Logan couldn't finish the song, and stopped playing his guitar "Sorry everyone, I can't finish. I can't miss my kids' births for nothing." He lifted the guitar up over his shoulder as he walked towards Brooklyn "Show's all yours guys." he says setting his guitar down, and ran off the stage.

Grant stepped out in front of Logan, stopping him "Grant, get out of my way. I've got to get to Bodhi."

"First off, I'll step to the side." he says, moving to the side and watched as Logan ran off "Second... how are you getting there?" Grant yelled.

Logan stopped, pulled on his hair and turned around "Would you?"

Grant ran toward him, placing his hand on his back and pushed as they hurried out of the stadium. Grant clicked the doors to unlock, and both hurried into the car "Thanks Grant."

"You're welcome... now do you know where we're going?" Grant asked as he started the car.

"No." he says, while googling where the hospital was on his phone. "Go, go, go..." he demanded as he had the google maps talking, telling them where to go.

Grant was sweating by the time they got to the hospital, he pulled up to the doors, and let Logan out. "I'll find you... somehow."

Logan slammed the car door, and ran into the hospital, stopping at the front desk to see where she was "Hi, I'm looking to see where Bodhi Knight is?" he asked, leaning over the desk. He then pushed himself up, when the nurse gave him a disturbed look, and began tapping his fingers hard and fast on top of the desk.

"What did she come in for?"

"Just type her damn name in... my guess she's about deliver our babies, I don't know." He stood up straight, and crossed his arms, watching her look up her name.

"Come on." he growled.

"She's on third floor, in room 304, you'll need to check in with the nurse on that floor, before entering her room."

"Thank you, now was that so hard?" he said, pushing away from the desk, and ran into Grant. "Let's go, all this pussy farting around, she's probably delivering already."

They headed for the elevators, and hit the third-floor button as they entered. Logan's heart was racing, and was feeling a bit nervous. "Shit Grant, she's not supposed to be having these babies yet, I wonder what happened?"

"I don't know, and I'm sure we'll find out soon." He felt nervous for Logan, and hoped everything was OK, he knew Logan, and if anything were to happen, he would lose it, and go off the deep end.

They exited the elevator, and began heading over to the nurses' station to check in, Logan noticed Doctor Jeffrey talking with a doctor, and walked over to them "How is she?"

Doctor Jeffrey turned, scratching his temple as he saw Logan and Grant standing there "She's doing a little better, we just got done doing further testing, and we decided that the babies need to be delivered. It appears that one of the babies umbilical cords have prolapsed."

"What does that mean?"

"It means that the cord is resting into the cervix, it doesn't appear to be in much, but it's enough to be causing fetal distress."

"Oh God." Logan panicked, ran his hands through his hair, and felt his entire body go numb.

"The room just opened, and one of the nurses is getting her prepared as we speak."

Doctor Jeffrey waved at the nurse, and had her grab Logan the clothes he needed to be in, in order to be in the room with Bodhi. "You do want to be with her, am I right?"

"Of course."

Grant rested his hand on Logan's shoulder, and patted his back "I'll go wait in the waiting room, good luck."

The nurse came back with the gown, gloves, and mask, handing them to Logan, and urging him to quickly put them on over his clothes. As they walked into the room, he took one look at Bodhi, and rushed to her side "I'm here babe."

"About time you showed up, come here." she snarled. He leaned down to kiss her forehead, only to be popped in the forehead with her fist "That's for not being with me when I first got here."

Not wanting to upset her any more than she was, he rubbed his forehead, and grabbed her hand, holding tight. He felt bad, and now knows why Brooklyn was late on the stage, and trying to get his attention, when she came on. He took a deep breath, and gave her a look of remorse "I'm sorry Hun, but I'm here now."

The nurse checked on Bodhi's epidural, making sure she wasn't getting too much medicine, then placed the catheter in her. She looked at Logan while squeezing his hand tighter, and squealed on pain "Can I kick your ass yet?"

"After the babies are born, you may want to reconsider that question... besides why would you want to hurt the man you love so much?" he said, smiling behind this mask.

She reached up, and grabbed a hold of his gown, and pulled him down, having him in front of her face "If you knew what was good for you, you'd take that smirk off your face... just because you have a mask on, doesn't mean I can't see that smile you're trying to hide."

He wanted to laugh, and tried not smiling "I still see it." she sighed. He leaned down toward her ear and spoke lowly "I love you beautiful, even though you're saying things you don't mean right now." He kissed her cheek, and stood up when he heard the doctor start instructing the nurses beside him.

The doctor began doing his incision, as Logan watched on, he became numb, weak in the knees, and got light headed when he saw the blood. A nurse happened to look over at him, and saw him fighting with his legs to stand, then dropped to the ground.

She ran to his aide, and helped him up "I'm good, I'm good... no need to help me up... me and blood don't get along."

He stood up on his own, assuring the doctor, and nurses it wouldn't happen again. "I promise." he insisted, after the doctor wanted him to wait in the waiting room.

After twenty minutes, the first child was born, a boy. The doctor held him up, showing Logan and Bodhi their bundle of joy, before delivering the next one.

"Here's the princess." Logan said in awe as the doctor held her up. He had a tear stroll down his face, and kissed Bodhi's forehead "You did good."

"God I would hope so, I didn't have to push anything out of my Hoo-ha."

"If you would like to wait in her room, you can. It'll be about an hour to hour and a half to get her sewn up, and back to her room." The doctor explained.

"What about the babies?" he asked, wanting to hold them.

"They're being tested right now, making sure everything is all right, and making sure your son didn't lose too much oxygen while the cord was in her cervix... once the tests are done, we'll bring them in the room."

Logan left the room, grabbed Grant, and had him wait in the room with him. "How did everything go?" Grant asked. Debating about bringing up the cd he was given.

"She did good... she wanted to kill me at first, but... she's well, and from what I saw of the kids, they're beautiful." He then walked over to him, holding his hand out "Thanks for getting me when you did... she punched me in the face." he chuckled.

Grant laughed, and shook his hand "No problem... after Bodhi comes back in the room, and after you get to see and hold your kids, I have something to show you both."

"What's that?"

"It's a surprise." Grant grinned.

"Why on earth would you tease me like that? That's harsh."

"Ass..." Logan stopped talking when the door opened, and in came Bodhi, with the two babies in her arms. Logan in awe, walked over to her and looked down at the love of his life, and stared at the two beautiful kids he helped create.

"I know you want to hold them, pick one up." Bodhi urged. "Grab her first, this arm is a little sore from the IV, and needs a little relief."

He picked her up, and looked at her as he sat down in the chair, studying all her features. He was able to get her to open her eyes, and melted when he saw the darkness in her eyes "She has your eyes." he said quietly.

Grant leaned over to Logan, looked at her and smiled "She's beautiful, what's her name?"

Bodhi looked at Logan and smiled "We decided on Leilani Rose."

"That's different."

"The name has a meaning that we thought was appropriate for us." Logan said, looking at his daughter "God only knows what I'll do, if someone were to ever hurt you..." he kissed her forehead, and handed her over to Grant "Your hands are washed, right?"

"You witnessed me wash them."

"You didn't pick your nose or anything like that, right?"

"No, I picked my ass..." Grant said irritated, then placed his hands on his lap "Forget it, I'll hold her another time."

Logan chuckled, and handed her over to Grant "I was kidding, I know you washed."

"Logan, behave." Bodhi sighed. She was tired, sore, and felt like taking a nap, but fought to keep her eyes open anyway. She handed Logan their son, and smiled "I haven't forgotten the kick your ass part... be nice to Grant."

He held his laugh after being scolded, and reached for his son "Yes dear." He sat down and studied his features "He looks just like me."

"And what's this little guys name?"

"Micah Jasper." Bodhi hummed, feeling extremely happy they arrived, and both were in good health, for being born earlier than planned. "They're perfect, aren't they?"
