Chapter 27- Marry me
Bodhi looked away from her friends, looked at the crowd, and smiled as she looked back at Logan. Her heart was pounding hard and fast, and couldn't believe what he was getting ready to do in front of all the people, that she removed her hand from his, and covered her face with her two hands.
Logan smiled, removed her hands, and looked her in the eyes "Bodhi, you have been my rock, and angel since I entered that hospital and laid there in a coma. You risked your career, your own life, and believed in my life, when nobody else did. You have stuck by my side from the very beginning, and I'm glad to see that you're still here by my side, adventuring the world on this wild, crazy tour with me. I would like to continue on with this exciting journey that we've started, and for it to never end... Bodhi Carmen Knight... will you continue this life with me, and be mine forever?" he says, pulling a ring out of his pocket, and holding it out for her to see.
Bodhi grinned, and giggled as she looked back at the crowd who were chanting say yes, over and over. She looked back at the ring, and wiggled her finger, having him lean closer "Are you asking me to marry you, in front of all these people?"
With a grin on his face, he placed the microphone up to his lips and looked at the crowd "She just asked if I was asking her to marry me." he chuckled "Of course, I'm asking you to marry me..." he says, looking back at her, figuring he better ask her the right way "Bodhi, will you marry me?"
"Yes, I'll marry you."
He placed the ring on her finger, and pulled her in for a long passionate kiss, while everyone surrounding them, clapped and whistled. "Love you babe." he says, smiling as he pulled away.
He stood up, looked at the crowd and yelled "She said yes!"
He walked her back to her friends, and happily continued with the concert. He now knew how the grinch felt, when his heart grew three sizes. He couldn't wait for the concert to end, and to celebrate with Bodhi and her friends.
Instead of watching the rest of the concert, Bodhi kept looking at her ring, and would smile each time the lights would shine onto her finger, showing off the all the sparkles. Darla grabbed her hand, and pulled her hand up to look at the ring "Wow, it's beautiful! He did good... I love how big and round it is, and all the diamonds running along the sides, it's just gorgeous!" she said in awe.
"I love it! I wonder when he had time to buy it?"
Darla smiled, and gave her a nudge "Probably that time we went out, or when he disappeared for the day."
"Oh, yeah..." she says, still admiring the ring as she looked at it.
Chloe and Samantha couldn't stop looking at the ring, and kept holding it up to see the sparkles "I'm so happy for you... at first I was jealous, but I'm really glad you're the one he chose." Chloe said, as she wrapped her arm around her, and rested her head on her shoulder. "You two are perfect for each other."
The last song of the night, he had Bodhi come back on stage, and thanked her for not embarrassing him in front of everyone. He held her by his side as he sang, and when they finished, he carried her over his shoulder as he exited the stage.
"Congratulations to you both." Grant said smiling, as Logan approached him "I'm guessing we're heading somewhere to celebrate?"
"I would like to, how about you?" He says, looking at Bodhi.
"Sure."
"Good, because I need a shot... my nerves are still running rapid." he chuckled "I was afraid you were going to say no since we haven't been together that long."
She giggled, cupped his face, and stared through his eyes "Why would I say no? Didn't I just get done saying I'm ready to start a family with you?"
"Yes." he smiled.
She pressed her lips against his, and jumped back into his arms, kissing him deeper "Our journey together, has only gotten better from here on out, and I wouldn't want it any other way."
"Let's get this party started!" Logan heard Rick yell behind them, as the band walked closer. He turned around and held his hand up, high fiving them all as they walked by. "Congratulations... I never thought I'd see the day that my best friend since we were kids, would settle down, and actually propose to someone... let's celebrate this new beginning." Rick says, pulling Logan in for a hug, and patting his back hard.
Logan chuckled, and pushed him away from him "Times have changed my man."
They all hopped in the bus, and drove around Oklahoma for a while, looking for a place to celebrate. Ending up at a country western bar, not too far from the hotel. They walked in, and stopped to look when they saw a huge dance floor, and everyone out there line dancing.
"My kind of place." Bodhi said in awe. She loved country music, and felt it was a much needed break from what she had been watching, and listening to for months. While everyone headed to the bar, Bodhi grabbed Logan's hand, and walked him onto the dance floor once she heard Shania Twain's, Any Man of Mine start playing.
"You think so, huh?" he laughed.
She started dancing with him, and smiled as she spoke "Listen to the lyrics... she's right, you better be proud of me, and love me even when I'm ugly."
"I know this song very well, and don't worry, I'll love you no matter what you do, even if you burn my breakfast, lunch, or dinner." he says, grinning.
"Sure about that?"
He spun her, dipped her down, and held her in place as he looked at her "Yes, I'll be loving you until the day I die, so whatever you do, like gain weight, disagree with me for some reason, or change your mind multiple times like women do, I'll still love you like the way I do now."
She looked him in the eyes, and knew he wasn't just saying what she wanted to hear, she knew he meant it, and melted in his arms "Kiss me."
He stood up, and picked her up bridal style, and kissed her before spinning her in circle "Don't make me sick." she said loudly, giggling.
They looked over, and noticed their friends sitting at a table with drinks covering the table "We better go sit with them."
As they walked closer, they both laughed hearing Kurt say a toast Here's to girls who love to flirt, with their touchy feely hands all over, may those hands toss plenty shots, then end up down our pants.
"Wow." Chloe says giggling "Is that a threat?"
"Why, are you offering?" Kurt asks, grinning "Because if that's the case, here's another shot... drink up!" he says, pushing another shot over to her.
Bodhi walked up in between Samantha and Chloe, reaching across the table to grab her drink "This is mine, right?"
"So is this." Tim says, handing her a shot, then handing Logan his "We started without you."
"I see that." He held his glass to Bodhi's and smiled "Here's to those who wish us well, and those who don't can all go to hell."
Grant came back to the table with another round of drinks, and handed them out "This is it for the night, they're getting ready to close."
"Already?" Darla asked surprised.
"It's almost two in the morning."
Landon looked at his watch, and over to Darla "It is almost two, my flight also leaves in seven hours."
Darla began to pout, and stuck out her bottom lip. She didn't want him to leave, but she too had to get back home the following day. She grabbed her drink, took a sip and turned to him "I wish you would move back to Minnesota."
"Or, maybe you can move to California." he winked.
She turned away, and looked down at her drink "If I had a reason to, I would." she said quietly. She didn't think he heard her, and was surprised when he leaned into her ear "If you move to California, I promise I'll make it worth your while." He kissed her cheek, and smiled when she looked at him "I promise."
She turned to Bodhi, and pulled on her shoulder "Landon said if I moved to California, he'd make it worth my while... what should I do?"
"I say go for it!"
Along the way to the hotel, Darla kept thinking about what she should do. Every once in a while, she would look at Landon, then over to Bodhi. Seeing how happy she was, made her think harder. She hated when he moved away, just when they were getting ready to know each other, and was hating only seeing him once in a blue moon. She felt if she did exactly what Bodhi did, and just did what made her happy, she would be just as happy as she. She took a deep breath, looked at Landon, and rested her hand on his leg "Would I be crazy if I were to say, I'll do it?"
He curled his finger under her chin, and smiled "You'll be happy if you did, and I'll make sure of it."

A week had past, and they were finally finished with the tour. Logan couldn't wait to finally get Bodhi back home, pack, and head for Minnesota to spend Christmas up at their cabin.
They stood outside Grant's office, hugging, shaking hands, and wishing each other a Merry Christmas "Keep him in line... before you know it, we'll be on the road again." Tim says as he gave Bodhi a hug "Between you and I, I'm glad he met you... you're the one he needed in his life, and the one who would be able to set him straight."
"I'm glad also, and I didn't have to do anything... he's been wonderfully amazing, ever since he opened his eyes."
"Like I said, you're exactly what he needed."
Grant walked over to Logan, asking to talk to him for a few minutes "I'll be quick, then you two can get going, and go see your family." Grant says to Bodhi. He walked Logan into his office, and had him take a seat.
"What's up?" Logan curiously asked.
Grant sat down, and smiled "Remember when I first met you, and how you thought you were being hired to be the new next big hot shot band?"
Logan thought back to that day, and smiled "I remember it well."
Grant leaned back in his chair, and folded his hands as he laid them across his chest "And how bad you wanted to sing your own songs?"
"I do, why?"
"I received a phone call the other day, asking how interested you, and your band would be, on make your own track, with your own songs."
Logan's heart began to race with excitement, a smile formed on his face, and he had to shake his head "What?" he asked, unsure of what he just heard, and wanting him to repeat what just came out of his mouth.
Grant sat forward, and smiled. He knew this was Logan's dream, and it couldn't have come at a better time, a week before Christmas. "I said... they were wondering if you would like to make an album?"
"That's what I thought you said." He covered his mouth, trying to hide the smile, and took a couple deep breaths to calm himself down "Do they know what kind of music we were hoping to sing?"
"They do, and said you can sing whatever genre you would like. They know you have a following, and believe your fans will follow with whatever genre you decide to sing, as well as gaining new fans."
Logan excitedly jumped up, and pumped his fists into the air. "About fucking time!... Whew!" He hugged Grant, and quickly ran out of the office to tell the band, only to see they all had left. He looked over by his car and felt bad seeing Bodhi standing against it, and walked over to her.
"I'm sorry, have you been out here by yourself long?" he asked, sliding her hair behind her ears.
"No, they all just left... what did Grant need?"
He smiled, and walked her over to the other side of the car, and opened the door for her "I'll explain on the way home."
On the way to his house, he explained the record deal to her, then called Grant when he got home to apologize for leaving like that, and without getting the full details.
Bodhi sat on the bed, smiling as she watched Logan pack. She was excited for him, and couldn't wait to hear him start recording the songs he had written throughout the years.
Once they landed in Minnesota and to her house, she called her parents, letting them know she was home, and to see if it was alright if she stopped by. She wanted to introduce Logan to her parents, and to show them she was engaged.
She hung up the phone, and sat down next to Logan "Would you like to go visit with my parents before we head up north?"
"Sure, I would love that." he says, smiling.
She stretched out her hand, and twisted her lips as she looked at the ring on her finger "I should probably take this ring off."
"Why would you do that?"
She shrugged her shoulders, and began rubbing her thighs nervously "Well... my dad is old fashioned, I'm sure he would like to meet you first. I also know he would rather you ask his permission first before you take his little girl away."
He chuckled, and placed his hand on top of hers "I'm sure it'll be fine... I've got a way with people."
"You don't know my dad." she sighed.
He grabbed her hand as he stood up, and wrapped his arms around her waist "Just relax, I'll take care of it." he winked. He cupped the back of her head and pulled her in for a kiss, deepening the kiss as it heated up. She wanted more, and grabbed a fistful of his shirt, and fell backwards onto the couch, pulling him down with her.
The longer they kissed, the more he wanted to stay, and to have her ride on his bologna pony "We better get going before we disappoint your parents by not showing up."
"I just want to feel your lips against mine for a bit, I'm craving it right now."
"You're craving my lips? Or, are you craving the yogurt slinger?"
She smiled, and tightly locked her lips with his, moaning as she tasted him, and moaning into his mouth "Both."
He felt his lap rocket harden, and pushed himself up away from her "As much as I would love to try making a baby with you, we better get to your parents." He knew she was trying to stall going over to her parents, and figured he better get her up and moving.
She stood up, and pouted "Fine... here are my keys, I'll be right out."
She headed into the bathroom, turned on the faucet and looked in the mirror before splashing cold water onto her face. She was feeling a bit warm, a little nauseous, and felt her nerves going haywire. "Calm down Bodhi, calm down." she says, inhaling and exhaling slowly.
After calming herself down, she opened the door, took a step out, and felt her stomach turn into knots, that had her suddenly feeling sick. She quickly turned around and headed for the toilet, opening the lid, and immediately prayed to the porcelain god.
Logan sat in the car wondering what was taking her so long, and headed back inside "Bodhi? Are you coming or what?"
He walked in further, and heard noises coming from the bathroom, he walked over and stood at the doorway, unsure if he wanted to interrupt.
Bodhi could feel him standing behind her, and grabbed a towel to wipe her mouth "Dammit Logan, I feel sick to my stomach."
He grabbed a washcloth, and ran it under cold water before placing it on the back of her neck "That should cool you off... you're letting the nerves get the best of you... your dad can't be that bad."
"He's not that bad, I'm just not feeling well. I felt a little nauseous on the airplane too, I just never said anything thinking it was all the excitement that's been going on lately."
He kneeled, and rubbed her back, while flushing away the remnants. "Well, we could always delay going up north, if you would like to see your parents tomorrow, instead of tonight."
"No, we can still go. They're already expecting us."
Bodhi cleaned herself up, brushed her teeth, and changed her clothes, then headed over to her parents. Bodhi looked at Logan confused while directing him where to turn "You act like you know where my parents live."
He turned his head, and smiled "I'm just listening to your directions."
"Yea, but you had your blinker on before I said anything."
"I saw your hand starting to move, and figured my turn was coming up."
"Oh, well... you need to turn right up ahead, and it will be the first house on your left." she says, still sounding confused.
He pulled into the driveway, parked, and leaned over to her, wiggling his finger at her, and pulled her in for a short kiss as she was leaned toward him. "Let's show them your ring." he says, smiling.
"OK." she whispered.
As they approached the front door, the door flung open, and out came Bodhi's mother with her arms held out. "Hi mom." she says happily, hugging her.
"It seems like it's been forever since we've seen you!"
"I know, I'm sorry." she says pulling away, and looking over at Logan. She reached her hand out, and stepped over to Logan, wrapping her arm around him "Mom, this is Logan, Logan this is my mother Adele." He shook her hand, smiled, and gave her a hug while whispering something into her ear.
"Where's dad?"
"He's in his office, you can both go inside and pester him. I've been trying to get him to come out since I got off the phone with you."
Bodhi walked Logan inside and over to her father's office, knocking a couple times before opening the door and peeking her head inside. "Hi dad, I'm home."
He covered the speaker on his phone and looked up, "Hello darlin, come in, I'll be off the phone in just a second."
"My dad is always on the phone... always busy buying, and selling properties." she whispered, before opening the door wider.
Her dad hung up the phone the moment they sat down, and looked over at the two with a smile "Bodhi..." he says, walking around his desk. She stood up, gave him a hug and squeezed tighter as she spoke "Dad, there's someone here I would like for you to meet."
She pulled away and grinned while looking at Logan "Dad, this is Logan, Logan, this is my father Elijah."
Hope you enjoyed the chapter, sorry it took so long, but family comes first.🤞❤🤞❤
I'm on the road to go home, so hopefully I can write another chapter soon! It's not easy writing while traveling, especially when you got everyone talking to you the entire time lol.
