RED WEDDING

"Do you take him as your lawfully wedded husband?"

"I do." I replied.

"Do you take her as your lawfully wedded wife?"

"I do." He agreed, a smirk evident on his handsome face.

"You may kiss the bride!"the priest called out.

I felt his cold hands on my face, sending shivers down my spine. Dread pooling in the bottom of my stomach, until his eyes found mine. Instantly all the fear vanished, as if compelled to forget.

Eagerly I leaned forward to feel his lips on mine. But instead I felt crushing pain at the base of my neck. As if two hot bullets had found home right into my veins.

The blood flowed to his mouth, a red stream escaped falling onto my snow white gown, painting it red. I turned around see the whole church in ashes. Blood sizzling over the burning wood as the bodies of my loved ones scattered around.

"Don't kill me, don't please." I pleaded trying to pry him off me. My voice was weak. But I tried to put as much strength into my arms as possible.

--

I was kicking and punching when I suddenly bolted up from my bed. I was instantly engulfed by a soothing pair of arms.

"Shhh.. baby. You are alright. It was just a dream. Just take deep breaths, okay?"

I followed his advice, as I tried to match my breaths with his.

"What did you dream of?"

Finally I found strength enough to find my voice, "I dreamed that you killed my family, and you were going to kill me too, right on our wedding day."

"Oh love why would I ever want to get rid of my personal portable blood bag ever? You are stuck with me, forever. And tomorrow we will make it official."

I don't know why those words didn't hurt, but instead made me feel loved and needed. While all time it was just the power in his eyes.

Power to Compel.
