The moon was shining faintly, and that was a detail Steve would never forget, especially as things don't always go according to plan.

You both moved forward cautiously. Everything was going well until, suddenly, an alarm sounded. You have been detected. You wasted no time; you prepared for the worst. But amid the chaos, you were injured.

"Y/N! " Steve shouted, lunging towards you.

Y/N, you fell to the ground, but Steve held you in his arms, his heart pounding. He could feel your pulse weakening; it wasn't normal, and you needed to leave immediately.

"Hold on, Y/N. I'll get you out of here," he whispered as he lifted you up.

Your pulse seemed to slow more and more, and your breathing was ragged. Steve felt a knot in his stomach as he saw the blood soaking through his suit. He knew you couldn't wait any longer.

He ran to a nearby extraction point while trying to get you to stay conscious.

"You're strong, Y/N. Please hold on," he whispered, taking your hand.

"Steve, Y/N is strong," someone told him as they waited for the medics to do their work.
