"My mother, a Leafeon, was hoping for more Eevees, but she was fine with just me. Then my Jolteon dad found Ember on our doorstep. We grew up together and evolved on the same day.

"Then when we were playing with a rubber ball when the earthquake struck. I almost fell in the earth, but then Apollo rescued me. I lead them back to our home, but it was on fire as a result of the quake.

"Ember and I went in while Apollo got our Vaporeon neighbors. They put out the fire, but my parents couldn't make it. Ember managed to got some stuff, though. And here I am now."

There was a silence. Then Snowdrop looked at me with sympathy. "I'm sorry. They're watching over you and protecting you, I'm sure."

I nodded. "Thanks."

Apollo walked in. "Okay, now who's
ready to have some fun?" He scampered out. "To the park!"
Forgetting about my small emotional moment, I pranced after him.
