Chapter 100. [Alyssae]

A few days had passed since Thranduil had revealed his plan. Alyssae had thought about her decision for a long time, but she hadn't changed her mind. Thranduil gave her the chance to bring Fíli and Thranduil back to life. How could she not help him? She would have to make some sacrifices, but Thranduil wasn't as evil as she had thought and all she had to do to make up for her mistakes was to sleep with him. Something she was  prepared to do. It was better than withering in captivity, as she had expected. She couldn't say she looked forward to that crucial moment, but she kept telling herself what she would achieve.
Alyssae sat in the gardens of Mirkwood when an unknown elf spoke to her. "Someone wants to meet you."
"Who?" she asked immediately. She didn't want to be surprised again, but the man shrugged.
"I don't know him, but he looked quite desperate."
Could it be Thorin? Her heart started to bounce fanatically. She wanted to tell him she was starting to make things right. He would get his nephew and his sister back. He would never have to miss them. She decided to follow the elf and he took her to a place were the bushes were more dense. When they both saw a figure wrapped in a dark cloak, the elf stood still.
Alyssae's disappointment was enormous when she noticed the person was too tall to be Thorin. Would it be Tauriel? She could understand why her arrival was cloaked in so much mystery.
"Turn around."
Her order was answered immediately and Alyssae froze when she recognized him. A chunk of ice arose inside her and she wanted to turn around in panic, but in two steps he was with her, grabbing her wrist. "Calm down."
"Let me go," she hissed, avoiding his bright green eyes.
"If you stay."
She nodded unwillingly and he let go of her arm.
"I'm here to get you away from this place."
Alyssae sniffed disdainfully. "You think I'll ever go anywhere near you?"

"A last time, I hope."
She squeezed her eyes. "Get out of my sight, Eldinòr. I never want to see you again."
"Fine, then close your eyes."
The hard look in his eyes made her nervous. "Are you going to kidnap me again?"
"I'll bring you back to Thorin."
She looked away and he sighed.
"I already told you I am sorry I brought you here, but now I am here to bring you back."
Alyssae laughed gloomy. "You think you can win my sympathy back with that?"
"I don't want your sympathy," he grumbled impatiently.  "I just want to bring you back to Erebor, before that king of yours attacks Mirkwood like some crazy bull."
"Tell him to stay there."
Eldinòr cursed loudly and banged his fist to a tree, so hard that splinters were flying around. Then he kept silent, looking right into her eyes.
Alyssae couldn't help her legs felt like mud.
"You don't want to leave."
"I can't leave," she said. "He keeps Bombur and Bofur as prisoners."
"Then we take them with us."
Alyssae shook her head. "That won't succeed."
"Of course it will. When we..."
"There is no we anymore!" she interrupted him . "You and I aren't going to do anything."
His hanging shoulders and hurt face didn't change her mind, even though that was most certainly nothing but an act. "What did he do to you, Alys? You're not yourself..."

Alyssae almost exploded with anger. "That has nothing to do with Thranduil, rather with your betrayal." Her lower lip started to shake and the tears followed quickly. "It is your fault Vaughn touched me," she whispered. "It's your fault I see his grinning face in my nightmares."
Eldinòr looked the other way. His voice was nothing but a whisper, but Alyssae refused to believed he really felt emotions. "I didn't know he would touch you, Alyssae. I swear."
"He is insane!" she yelled. "He has raped his own sister for years. Did you really think he would skip me?"
Eldinòr was silent for some time, but eventually he looked up. "I know very well I can't make my deeds undone, but that doesn't change the fact that I want to bring you back to Thorin."
"For the time being I'm interested in going back to Thorin," she answered shortly. "Thranduil and I will enter into matrimony."
The shocked expression on his face was the first thing that amused her since she had left his ship.
"You can't do that."
Alyssae laughed disdainfully. "Watch me."
