Later that night...

Marcus is currently walking through the town in the dead of night, heading straight to where most would call his grave.

Pyxis: "This'll fucking suck."

Orion: "(sarcastically) Are you sure about this?"

Marcus: "You act as though we haven't met."

Marcus stands just outside the entrance to one of the volcanic tunnels.

Pyxis: "You're right, we haven't."

Marcus switches to Wyvern Hunter and activates Pyxis's Break.

Marcus: "So I'll show you what I'm made o-"

He steps inside to have the stench of rotting flesh fill the tunnels.

Orion: "(disgusted) Looks like this is Vulpecula."

Pyxis: "I like this, so I don't know what you're complaining about."

Marcus and Orion are more conflicted over whether the fact that the smell is just awful or that Pyxis actually like s this.

Marcus: "(deep breath) I'll just keep going."

Marcus cautiously treks forward, the contents of what lurks in the tunnel unknown to him.

Meanwhile...

A pure white Wyvern with purple eyes and covered in blood stains sits in a vast room with dozens of branching pathways, surrounded by the bodies of valiant soldiers.

Wyvern: "(smugly) I'm not after your blood, I want the blood of the Sun, Moon, and Star."

However, one soldier is just playing dead, but is clearly damaged beyond complete repair.

Soldier: "(in head) This Wyvern is nothing like the others! Is she a general or something more?"

She can sense the presence of Marcus.

Wyvern: "(smirking) So it shall be the Sun? I'd much rather Star, but it'll do just fine."

The ground is changing from a dirty brown to a deep red.

One hour later...

The air has grown cold and Marcus has left a trail of small fry enemies in his wake.

Pyxis: "Still nothing from Vulpecula."

Orion: "She's the type to relish in the blood of her enemies, but she should be more than willing to deal with us."

The air begins to taste like blood.

Marcus: "Ready to find out?"

Marcus readies his blade as he comes into contact with the vast room.

???: "I was wondering when I would be able to bathe in your blood.

The Wyvern is casually watching them as they step inside.

Orion: "Sounds like you all right Vulpecula."

Vulpecula: "So you and Pyxis met your fate by his hand? Could be far worse."

Pyxis: "Like what?"

Orion: "There can't be a fate worse than being stuck with Pyxis."

Pyxis: "Hey!"

Vulpecula: "Do you assume that I'll be stuck with you?"

Marcus: "No assumptions..."

Marcus holds out his blade.

Marcus: "... it's a given."

Marcus starts running along the wall.

Vulpecula: "Do you expect to bait me out at long range to get me to expose a weak spot?"

Marcus's legs lock up for a single, fatal second.

Vulpecula: "There!"

She grabs Marcus by the throat the instant he paused.

Orion: "This is bad!"

Vulpecula: "I thought you were on my side Orion, such a shame. I really liked you..."

Orion: "(blushing) H-Hey hey hey, wh-what did you say?"

Pyxis: "Shut your mouth Orion!'

Marcus switches to his hammer and smashes the ground, allowing him to get some leverage and break free.

Vulpecula: "Yes that's right..."

Pyxis: "(gulps) Uh oh..."

The enemy's eyes are emanating malice like fire.

Vulpecula: "(menacingly) I have to work for it if I want to taste your blood!"

Marcus tries to dodge backwards, but Vulpecula grabs him in a flash.

Marcus: "(in head) She's faster than she looks!"

She begins swinging Marcus around the whole room like a couple children in a pillow fight, each swing hurting more than the last.

Orion: "I forgot! She may be a looker, but she's fucking insane!"

Vulpecula: "Your naivety is what makes you so likable Orion."

Orion: "(blushing) R-Really?"

Pyxis: "Stop thinking about that!"

Vulpecula smashes Marcus's spine against her knee, causing him to hack up a lot of blood.

Marcus: "(in head) What do I do? She has no weaknesses!"

She tosses him into the wall, letting him fall to the ground like a doll.

Vulpecula: "(sniffing) Your blood smells so sweet! It's clear that you are the Sun!"

Her flaming eyes refuse to die out.

Pyxis: "Well, it was nice knowing you guys."

Marcus struggles onto his knees.

Marcus: "(in pain) I figured you out."

He deactivates his Breaks and delves into the tunnels.

Pyxis: "Huh?"

Marcus: "(in pain) You lack a method to your madness!"

The sounds of Marcus's dripping blood echo around them.

Soldier: "(in head) A child is fighting?"

The nearly dead soldier is holding onto consciousness as Velpecula smashes her head against the tunnels.

Velpecula: "Get out here! I want to watch your blood paint the walls and bring victory to the Eclipse at long last!"

Marcus leans against the wall for support.

Orion "Like hell you can fight like this!"

Pyxis: "His body is tearing apart in Wyvern Hunter, no way he can handle another strike."

Marcus wipes away the blood.

Marcus: "(in pain) If I don't deal with her now, then all that'll happen is more and more people will die, more people will die before tomorrow, and..."

He has a vision where a man shoved Marcus underneath a bed.

Marcus: "(shedding a tear) ... more people will end up like me."

Marcus crushes a chunk of stone in his hand.

Orion: "But you'll die in another hit!"

Marcus: "(smirking) Who says I'm taking another hit?"

Marcus finds a passage leading to the left side.

Pyxis: "You will take another hit."

Marcus pushes his body to rush towards the passage.

Marcus: "Like hell I will."

Meanwhile...

The entire room is starting to break apart.

Vulpecula: "Come out here and fight me you coward!"

Soldier: "(in head) What makes the kid she's fighting special?"

Little does she know, Marcus has already stepped out of the passage to her left.

Marcus: "(in head) Only one hit, so I'd better make it count."

He lunges straight for her at full speed as he readies his hammer.

Orion: "Surprise!"

Marcus smashes his hammer straight down the middle of her neck.

Vulpecula: "H-How did you-"

Pyxis: "Lucked out and picked the right path."

Marcus switches to his blade on the other hand and stabs her through the throat before she can react.

Vulpecula: "(weakly) I-Impossi-"

Marcus twists the blade.

Marcus: "(exhausted) It's over. You let your insanity get the better of you."

Her body is breaking apart into orange light.

Vulpecula: "(weakly) Damn... you..."

Marcus falls to the ground as he goes unconscious and her body become intangible.

Soldier: "(in head) Did the child... win?"
