Meeting
*Frisk's POV*
(I may do her point of view a lot but maybe not. Actually not sure XD I hope you like the book!)
The first time I met G he slammed himself against my cell with his orange jumpsuit dark in the dim light.
I suppose I shouldn't call it a meeting, more of a sighting.
Of course, my first reaction would be to scream.
Yet instead, I just jumped back and stared at him with shock and confusion.
Lucky for me, the human guards grabbed him again and yanked him away from the cell with some struggle.
He was yelling something loud, and the words pierced my ears so bad I couldn't make out exactly what he was saying.
The only words I could make out were ones that made me shiver.
Prince.
The Prince.
The Damn Prince.
While he yelled and struggled, some of the other prisoners looked out their cells to watch, most just laid back in their cells, used to this type of commotion.
I was one of those who watched.
They took him to a cell at the end of the hall, one that looked different from the rest of us.
His had a large metal door with a latch at the top for looking inside. The metal looked cold, and new, like they couldn't risk anything old to break.
When they opened the door, I glanced on the inside to see the wooden "bed" and the pail for the privy.
There wasn't a window.
When they shut the door, I could see the others going back to their beds or walls, the guards folding their arms outside G's door.
I had known he was an important prisoner, even before I saw how dangerous he was.
I had known this because I could hear people talk about him.
During yard hours, or food hours, people would talk to each other about the dangerous skeleton that had escaped.
More then once it seemed.
"I heard he killed the first chief, that's why there's a new one."
"I heard he made a guard go so crazy, the guard let him out and then tore off his own fingernails."
I heard that he was the scariest, most dangerous prisoner out there.
Maybe that isn't me knowing to much, since I had only been new to the prison a few days before.
But I had heard enough to know that was him.
I had heard enough to know that when the prison was on lock down, they had caught him.
A little about the prison, it was run by humans, and captured both.
A very mixed prison.
Full of men, women, human, monster, elderly, young, the limit was 18 and older.
I was the youngest there.
Though I am in the prison, what I did was nothing compared to what G had probably done.
Nothing compared to what I've heard he's done.
That was beside the point, I preferred not to think of what I had done.
Even if it was just an accident.
Then next time I saw G, it was days later, after he had some "counseling"... though I don't think it did anything to him.
It was inside the cafeteria for food, I had walked in, and oddly... everyone seemed quiet.
No one whispered, talked, argued, bullied, beat, or touched anyone. They were silently eating their food, some weren't even eating.
Being smart, I didn't say anything, yet everyone's eyes still glanced at me when I walked in.
Feeling like a rabbit in a field of hawks, I quietly got my food and sat down.
This was a mistake, apparently, because at the moment I was about to eat, I felt the whole table shake as two gruff hands with holes in the middle slammed at the sides of me, bones connecting the fingers and arm to the rolled up sleeves of the orange jumpsuit.
All I could do was shiver.
"... Whatcha doing in my seat dove?" This was the first time I had heard G speak in a calm collected voice, almost like a conversation. His words were eerily smooth, like he had already planned them ahead of time, he seemed to know exactly what to say, and when.
This frightened me a bit.
But I was determined not to let him get to me.
Not like everyone else.
I could feel everyone's eyes on me, and my heart raced with my thoughts, each trying to out run each other.
Instead of answering, I stayed silent. I could see that everyone else had the same idea, even the toughest of guys stopped their eating to let G have his silence.
I could feel him lean closer, the feel of his chest grazing my shoulders, and his words against my ear when he said, "... Did I stutter... sweetheart?"
All I could do, was shake my head quickly and stand up to throw away my food.
A stupid stupid move.
At that exact moment, G tripped me and I fell face first into the food.
The silence of the room made the embarrassment of slob in my face even worse.
I could feel peoples eyes on me, and I knew they were snuffling laughs.
I thought they were snuffling laughs, but when I lifted my head slowly to see my embarrassment... I could see the sorry eyes they had.
If they pity me for the way G was treating me, this must mean something bad.
This was going to be very, very bad.
G began laughing when I didn't get up right away, and everyone joined his laughter.
Some of the laughs felt real.
Others sounded like they were just trying to avoid the same fate.
When G snapped everyone silence.
"Back to what you were doing," He said gruffly, satisfied when they all did what he said.
He stepped over me, as if I was just a spill of water.
When I got up, I could see him leaving the lunchroom, without guards stopping him.
To be honest, if I was forced to admit, I was jealous when no one stopped him.
Though I was mostly furious, trying to think of the other paths I could have took to avoid embarrassment.
Non of them ended well.
As I wiped the slob off my face, I knew that this would be the last time I mess with him.
Or I thought so.
