CROW HILLS TOWN
MONDAY MORNING

SOME DISTANCE AWAY FROM THE JAMES HOUSE
UNKNOWN POV
He has been watching the James house for some minutes now, he saw how relaxed they all were. Talking amicably amongst themselves at the breakfast table, despite the presence of the police officers in their home. Except when all the children leaves the kitchen it seems Mr. and Mrs. James were arguing about something. He turned his spyglass away from them and watched the sitting room.
He smile at himself, seeing the family like this makes him yawn for a happy family of his own. But such wishes can never come true for him, he couldn't remember the last time he had a happy family of his own.
Adjusting the spyglass he was using to spy on the family, he laughed quietly at himself, seeing the object of his affection finally joined his sibling in the room. Terrence walked slowly towards their sitting room, watching his siblings fondly.
He couldn't remember when his love for Terrence turned to his addiction, but unfortunately for him Terrence never returned his feeling, it has always been a one sided love. But he was content, he would continued to love Terrence, until he finally realized how much he love him. Scratching his head distractedly, he returned to his thoughts.
He didn't grown up in a typical family home with happy moments, his father always beat his mother for no particular reason at least once a day, and most of the time they argue over everything including how he should eat. His father never beat his mother in a place where people would noticed, it is usually on her part of the body where people would never see, unless she pulled her dress, which is why they never visit beach or swimming pool.
It was on such occasion, a raining night, which starts as a normal day for his family. With no fight or argument between his parent, but on that night, he was playing with his food and this starts an argument between his parent. He watched as his father take up his knife and thrown it at his mother out of anger, he watched as his mother fall down, hitting her head on the floor, he watched as her blood pooled and his father dragged the body into the rain.
He watched it all, as it happened, his father buried his mother in the bush at the sides of their house on that raining night. No one at their former town knows about this incident, because one week after the death of his mother they moved to Crow Hills Town.
No one knows his father killed his mother, they all thought she died in a car accident while traveling back home and her body was burnt beyond recognition, that's what his father told them, so they never questioned his father when they moved from their town, they all thought he was grieving.
Though he was young at the time of the incident, he hasn't forgotten because his father constantly reminds him with beating, just like he did to his mother. Some time his father would claimed it was his fault his mother was dead, other times his father would claimed he was teaching him some lessons on how to be a man. On any of the occasions, he took the beating quietly.
Finding Terrence and loving him has become a respite for him, Terrence was his moonbeam, his light in the darkness he finds himself. Thinking about Terrence some days usually brightened up such days. He has confessed his love for Terrence on many occasions but Terrence usually laughed it off.
Terrence rejection always hurt him, making him feel unwanted, but he consoled himself with the fact that he was always closer to Terrence. He was surprised on the day Terrence told him about Mr. Larkson's affection for him, Mr. Larkson must have saw what he sees in Terrence. He nearly starts planning on how to killed Mr. Larkson when Terrence told him, because he felt Mr. Larkson was taking away his chance with Terrence.
But he was doublely surprised when Terrence concluded that he didn't have such feelings for Mr. Larkson. He has always known his Terrence to be of pure heart, no wonder his love for him grows everyday.
It was with Joy and pride that he killed the two boys who were trying to molest Terrence at the warehouse. He didn't planned on anything significant happening that night, except that Terrence would find himself in bed with him, that was why he followed Terrence to the warehouse, to make sure the plan he had for both of them would work.
Unfortunately for him, his plan didn't work, everything happened so fast that he panicked and left the ware house. Thinking about it now, he was ashamed that he left Terrence at the ware house. He wished he had tried to carry Terrence away from the abandoned house.
The loud noise coming from the James house distracted him from his thoughts and he raised the spyglass to check what was happening in the house. He watched as Tibby stormed towards the stairs, with Mrs. James talking and gesturing with her hand furiously.
Mrs. James has always been uncaring towards her children, he thought, she was always interested in what other people surrounding them thinks of their family. She didn't care about what her children were feeling, she never tried to understand them. If he had the chance, he will take care of her for Terrence.
He was so focused on Mrs. James he didn't know when Togan leaves the house, along with their dog, Juz. He was so engrossed in watching Mrs. James, especially when Terrence stands up too and leave the room dejectedly, he was enraged seeing his love looking like that, he wishes he could be with him at this particular time.
Raising up the hand holding the spyglass, he waited patiently until Terrence entered his room. He watched as Terrence opened the window, giving him clear view of the room, finally some moments with his love he thought and he smiled happily.
*************
Togan has been walking for some minutes now, yet he still felt trapped. He felt like the walls were closing in on him, even though the outside is an open space with gentle breeze. What would Terrence be feeling if he was feeling like this, he thought, shaking his head, Togan pity his brother.
The dog ran away from him, going in oposite direction and stopping at a small clearing, scratching the ground, he bends down to take a pee. Togan wait patiently for the dog to finish, using that opportunity to listen to the birds chirping in their surroundings. When they were younger, Terrence usually brings him here, just to listen to the birds.
Turning briefly to the right, he watched his brother's window as breeze blow the white transparent curtains, when he gets back, he must talk to his brother find out how Terrence is doing, Tegan thought, turning back to watching the dog.
He turned away from the dog sharply, listening intently for the sound he heard, which was different to the birds chirping. Staying still, he heard the noise again, the sound of rustling leaves to the right side of where he was standing, calling the dog quietly, he crept towards the sound, with the dog following closely behind him.
Togan was surprised to see the person who was making the noise with the way he was adjusting his hand holding a spyglass. The person was so engrossed in what he was doing that he wasn't aware of Togan's presence behind him. Togan realized immediately that the person was watching their house, he moved closer and bend nearly towards the person, Togan came to the conclusion that he wasn't only watching their house, he was watching Terrence's room with the spyglass.
"Hey dude!" Togan shouted, intent to spooked the person, who was still unaware of his presence.
"What?!" He replied, shocked and embarrassed at being caught spying on another person, "Togan, Jesus, you scared the devil out of me. What are you doing out here? I mean I didn't saw you leave the house," he said, smiling sheepishly.
"I should be asking you that question, but man, I already got the answer, you are spying on my brother!" Togan exclaimed, while the dog barked at his exclamation. "Am going to shout for Terrence so he would know you are here, why are you spying on him anyway?" Togan asked, sequently turning away from him.
"Wait, don't shout, don't call him, the police will hear you, they may come outside if they heard, they won't understand," he said, trying to hold on to Togan's hand. "I missed him and I didn't want to come inside that's why am spying on him," he explained.
"It doesn't matter, I will still shout for Terrence," Togan replied, taking several steps away from him with the dog following dutifully behind Togan.
Alarmed at the prospect of what could happened if Togan shouted, he looked about him for nothing in particular to stopped Togan from carrying out his threat. Turning again to plead with Togan not to shout, his eyes spot a medium sized stone with jagged edge embedded in the ground, he hurriedly swept away the sand and picked up the stone.
"Please, Togan don't do this," he shouted, while Togan merely shrugged his shoulder. He lift up the stone and throw it with all the force he could muttered. The force of the stone hitting Togan caused him to slumped down.
Surprised at this turn of event, he sat down on the ground and start muttering to himself, "I warned you, it was your fault Togan. I warned you not to shout, I even plead with you, this is your fault. Why did you let me do this to you, why? You don't even understand what it means to be in love," He continued muttering to himself until the dog whimpered besides Togan's slumped body.
"I have to kill you too Juz, there is no choice, you are a good dog but I have to kill you too, before you start barking," he said determinedly, standing up, he walk towards Regan's body and the dog. Scratching the dog behind his ear, he strangled its neck until the dog stopped breathing.
Dusting his hands on his trouser, he bend down and hold on Togan's shirt, tearing it to form a rope. He tied both the dogs leg and Togan's hand, using the rope to pulled both of them away.
The sound of the dragging body and his grunting was the only noise breaking the deathly quiet in the bush, it was as if the birds and all the animals sense a higher predator and goes quiet.
There is no doubt about it, he was trapped.
