👀No doubt
Everything we do, every thought we've ever had, is produced by the human brain. But exactly how it operates remains one of the biggest unsolved mysteries, and it seems the more we probe its secrets, the more surprises we find.
Neil deGrasse Tyson
Oh the nerves, the nerves; the mysteries of this machine called man! Oh the little that unhinges it, poor creatures that we are!
Charles Dickens
CROW HILLS TOWN
SUNDAY MORNING
THE JAMES HOME.
TERRANCE JAMES
Terrance usually don't sleep in, because, most of the time, he was always busy chatting with people on his phone. People he met online, people has become friends with him.
He must have been tired mentally and physically from all the stress and the issues concerning the murder investigation that he slept in, the phone call to Lao must have served as a stress relief pill because he slept without any nightmare and he slept in.
Unfortunately, he woke up to the news of both Diesly and Marvel missing, they left the mall around ten am but they never get home and no one knows their where about.
Terrance felt guilty, he was the one that puts the girls in danger. While he was at home still sleeping, both of them were waiting for him at the mall. They must have gotten tired of waiting and left the mall.
But where were they if they didn't make it home? Terrance was grateful for the first time since the beginning of all his troubles, because he was at home and he has several witness who can correlate his story that he was at home.
He was also grateful that for once he would be out of limelight, he do hope they will find both the girls soon.
CROW HILLS TOWN
SUNDAY AFTERNOON
POLICE STATION
OFFICER SUMIL FIRSK
Sumil has been sitting in the same position since she woke up, she left the station on Saturday night with more questions than answers. Though they were all waiting for the FBI agent who was coming to thier town. Hoping that when he comes he would be able to give them some answers.
But Sumil was eager to help Terrance, though solving the mystery of the murder would serves as a stepping stone for her, maybe she would we able to get the much needed promotion.
Even with her eagerness to solve the case, she could not find the connection. What connects all the victim together, except for Terrance and his presence at the scene, there was no other connection.
Some strand of hair was found on one of the first murder victims hand but so far they haven't get any genetic result of who the strand of hair may belong to. Luckily some strand of hair was also found On Mr. Larkson's hand, which should make it easier for them to get the genetic result quickly.
Sumil was impatient because a lot of thing can happened while they e still waiting for the genetic results to come out.
She switched off her phone to have some alone time, some semblence of peace. But it was all in futile, Her mind wasn't at peace.
She couldn't help but try to solve the puzzle surrounding Terrance James, the teens that were mudered and the killer, what is connection between the three dead bodies and Terrance?
What connects them together, what was the reason Terrance was constantly at the scene of the crime, could this killer be playing a game of power and dominance or a game of love and feeling.
Why did the killer took Mr. Larkson's ear, was it to prove a point. Or maybe it was to point them towards a pieces of the puzzle.
Terrance told her, during his holding at the station, that he felt tired while he was waiting at the school field and he decided to take some rest, only to wake up to Mr. Larkson's body.
Also on the night of the first murder, he woke up at the scene of murder without remembering anything that happened the previous night.
What could caused Terrance short term memory loss. Sumil have several other questions but there is no one who can give her a definite and certain answer.
She stands up from her couch, moving towards her kitchen to get herself a much needed drink, something to ease a sudden parched up throat.
There is one thing that is certain in all this mystery, a serial killer now lives in crow hill town. A serial killer lived among them, none of them is save any more. No one close to Terrance is save, he needs to be protected.
Officer Sumil Firsk comes to this conclusion suddenly, as if her brain that has been working tirelessly to find the mystery finally found a respite from all the thoughts.
She sprang up and dropped the water she was sipping in her kitchen zinc, walking straight towards her bedroom to take a much needed shower and head back to the station.
*********
It didn't take her as long as it would usually take to take her morning shower, she dressed hurriedly, choosing to wear a blacked Jeans with a white Long sleeves top instead of her police uniform.
She left her modest apartment and lock the door behind her, unlocking her car door, she enters and drives towards the police station.
All her thoughts, questions and plot comes to an abrupt stop as soon as she drives to the station. She was surprised to see so many people about all rushing towards different location.
Has something happed while she was at home resting. Her question was answered even before she voiced it. The sheriff and another man was coming outside from the station while she stood besides her car.
Both man walks towards her, the sheriff could clearly see the confusion written all over her face. But chooses to introduced her to the man standing besides him as soon as they reach her.
"Officer Firsk, this is FBI agent Roman Kirsten. He would be taking over the murder case and you will be working alongside him." The sheriff stated.
"Hello, you can call me Roman." The FBI agent said smirking at her, Officer Sumil guessed he was flirting with her.
"What happened while I was resting at home? Or maybe I should say why are all the officers walking as if someone died again." Sumil asked the sheriff.
"Someone has died again." The sheriff answered sadly.
"Who?" Officer Sumil asked quietly, too shocked to do anything, she rest on her car.
"Diesly, Mrs. Krist's Daughter, she was at the mall this morning along with her friend Marvel. They were seen at the mall, but no one knows thier were about once they left the mall, up until one of the officers saw her body besides the coffee shop. With both her eyes gone." The FBI agent answered.
"Mrs. Krist came here in the morning, around eleven am, to file a missing person's report, claiming her daughter always informs her of her whereabout. Diesly told her mother this morning that she was going to the mall along with Marvel, her friend. According to Mrs. Krist's statement, Diesly told her that both of them wanted to show Terrance James something on thier phone and they were meeting at the mall." The sheriff stated, with a saddened voice.
"This is becoming more mysterious than before, why did the killer took both her eyes and also Mr. Larkson's ear? Did you question everyone at the coffee shop? Did anyone at the coffee shop saw anything strange? Or maybe a strange noise?" Officer Sumil Firsk asked no one in particular.
"No one has been questioned yet, and Marvel is still missing. We have to work fast to find her before she turns up dead too." The sheriff said instead, leaving both the FBI agent and officer Firsk.
CROW HILL TOWN
SUNDAY EVENING
THE JAMES HOME
TERRANCE JAMES
Terrance was shocked, when he heard that both Diesly and Marvel were missing, he was hoping they would be found alive and their case won't be attached to the serial killers who was murdering people around him.
There were a lot of confusion surrounding Terrance and all the death that was happening around him, but hearing about the death of Diesly and Marvel still missing, answers some of his question.
One of his doubt that was clear was that Terrance was not the killer. There is no about it, Terrance didn't kill Diesly, he was sleeping at home while this girl was getting murdered, the police men that were assigned to hi. can testified to this, since all of them practically slept in the same room as him. Which didn't give him enough chance to leave the house unnoticed
There is no doubt about it, a killer is now living in crow hills town, a killer who is targeting him specifically, who maybe the killer doesn't want to be found, because each time a person contact him to give him the identity of the killer, they get killed themselves.
There is no doubt, Terrance must prepare to solve this mystery himself, and if he wants to solve it, he needs help from people he can trust.
Who can he trust? Who are his real friend?
