Nothing whets the intelligence more than a passionate suspicion, nothing develops all the faculties of an immature mind more than a trail running away into the dark.

CROW HILL TOWN
MONDAY
EARLY MORNING
POLICE STATION
The sheriff was busy stacking all the evidence result, he had read and re-read it, yet he could not make sense out of it. There were two people the evidence was pointing towards, the first he could understand but the second and main suspect of the murder, he just couldn't make sense if it.
The black police woman poked her head into his office and said quietly, "Sheriff we are ready for you." With her voice distracting him from his musing.
He stood up, picking up the evidence file, he walked out of the room, following the other officer entering the evidence room. He walked to the front and cleared his throat to get the attention of all the other police officers.
"As you all know the evidence concerning the muder of John Joseph and Sylvester Otis just came in this morning." He started, looking at the faces of all the police officers as if for effect.
"Before we begin, I must warn you that none of this can leak to the news reporter yet, because one of the suspect is a minor and it could affect our community, ruining the reputation of the town if this gets in the the wrong hands." He continued, "officer Firsk, please put this up on the board" he said to the black police officer.
"A sweater belonging to Terrance James was found at the scene, the reason why this teen is deemed our first and primary suspect is because of the blood found on his sweater. The blood which matched the blood of both murder victims. It was noticed that only his print off the sweater was there. Also there was some of his foot print at the scene too but apart from all these, there was none of his print on the bodies. A ring was found at the scene, which after thorough check it was matched with Mr. Larkson, he is not considered as a primary suspect because the ring was found at 100m away from the scene of the murder. Though he would be brought in for questioning." The sheriff stopped talking again.
One of the officers raised up his hand to ask a question, "sir is there any other evidence that ties Terrance James to the murder apart from the cloth with blood on it?"
"There was residue hair in the nails of the Sylvester Otis, the match for the hair is yet to come out but we assume it could belong to Terrance James." The sheriff answered.
"Are there any other questions?" The sheriff asked, but none of the officers had one.
"Alright, officer Firsk, go along with another officer and arrest Terrance James, we have 24 hours to interrogate him and get to the bottom of this issue. Let's hope he confesses soon and this issue be solved quickly, I don't want the FBI poking into my town's business." The sheriff said, dismissing all the officers.
CROW HILL TOWN
MONDAY
MORNING
THE JAMES HOME
Terrence could not sleep throughout the night, he kept tossing and turning on his bed with his instinct telling him someone somewhere was deciding his fate at that moment. At some point he decided to play a game on his phone to distract himself from his running thoughts.
He was still busy playing candy slash until late morning, when his mother woke up and went downstairs to start preparing for the day.
Hr was still busy with the game until the sound of his mother banging pans and pot at the kitchen forced him to leave his bed, though it was early for him to be awake as school was yet to resume but his parents would go to work so he decided to join them downstairs.
His mother was busy bustling about the kitchn to prepare breakfast, his father was sipping his morning coffee and flipping through the morning paper, there didn't seem to be any relevant news in it.
Normally, seeing both his parents like this in the morning usually made him smile but today, he felt like he was a curse to them, how would they feel once the police come knocking.
He spent parts of his night delibrating on maybe he should share his dilemma with his sister or not, but most of the time he shares a secret with Tibby, she usually ended up telling their father about it.
He entered the kitchen and walked towards the fridge to get an orange juice, greeting his mom On his way. He walked out and headed towards the sitting room, flopping down on an opposite chair to his father's, and he greeted him too.
Seemingly bored with what he was reading, His father closed the paper, and dropped it on the table.
He was always amazed at the amount of time his father spent reading or watching news which made him wonder most times if that's how the adult population liked to consume news like food.
As if his father was reading his mind, he took up the remote for the television and on it, a station with fashion models was on, his father watched it for a moment and then he started switching stations, fortunately for him and unfortunately for his father, there was no news on. He nearly laughed in glee.
Why was he happy the news was not on yet? He racked his thought for answers.
And that brought him back to his dilemma, its just a matter of hours before the police will show up. It is a certainty that they will come for him today, he would just have to prepare himself mentally and physically until the moment they come for him.
Normally he hates Mondays, but what he was expecting to happen made him hate this particular Monday more than the others.
"Hon, did the sheriff talk to you about what they found out yesterday? Though he was in a rush but he seemed happy when he was leaving after receiving that call." He was statled with his mothers voice which sound closer to him. He looked around him and found his mother sitting down in one of the chairs.
"Mom, its Monday why must you start talking about the murder so early on in the morning. Besides is dad not going to work, he's been sitting there flipping through paper as if he is preparing for an exam." Terrance said barely able to control the annoyance from showing in his voice.
"Is that a proper way to talk to your parents young man? Are you getting worse or better because i'm beginning to think we may have to start visiting the therapist again, because you have been acting stranger than usual since Saturday morning!" His mother said. He could note clearly that his mother was considering the therapist alternative.
"I'm fine mom, even though I was not sick before. Because I don't like to socialize doesn't mean i'm sick, and what I said about that is true! He reads the paper every morning, which makes me wonder..." He answered leaving the remaining of his sentence hanging.
"I don't think i'm going to the office today, I will work on my computer at home. Work is slow these days. And your mother is right you know?" He said, "when you were younger until you were ten years old, you wrre a social kid that had way too much energy. Always asking for a sleep over or a play date at a friends house. Suddenly becoming a social pariah and finding people to connect with online is strange to us and also difficult for us to accept as your parents, you should understand we only have your best interest at heart." His father finished.
He felt ashamed, the look on his fathers face was rare, his father was rarely worried about something, most time serving as the strong hold for their family, if his father is worrying about it that means his mother is afraid for him. He turned to look at his mother and his suspicious was confirmed.
"You changed right after you met Lao, but we could never understand that as Lao is always social, happy and free, always at all the party and he has other friends besides you. If your sexual orientation is the reason you become like this we want you to know we are here for you and we loves you." His mother said and starts crying.
He has never been able to withstand it when someone is crying in his presence, it triggers him emotionally and he would starts crying too.
He is devastated to find out what his parent has been going through because of him, but He didn't become withdrawn from people because of his sexual orientation, and he certainly don't know when it started.
He starts using social media when he was ten years old, he never experienced anything bad or came across an internet danger but he read and find out some of the cruel things that happens through social media.
When he was five years old he was diagnosed with ADHD (hypersensitivity disorder), the doctor that treated him then did not think it was a bad thing, he would just be sensitive to other people's feeling. But after he starts using social media he decides to start blocking people out, because he could never expressed himself to others.
At some point he stops using social media all together and he decided to find other people who may be hypersensitive like him, because even his parent does not understand most of his feelings.
He was caught inbetween feeling ashamed and trying to expressed himself to his parent.
He wiped his tears and stand up to hug his mother, that's the only he can expressed hiself to them that he understands their feelings.
*ding ding*
His father stands up to get the door, but uncounsciously he knows the police are the one at the door, so he detached himself from his mothers embrance.
"Good morning Mr. James, is your son in?" The voice of the police woman drifts across to them.
"Yes, please come in." His father answered.
"Terrance James, your are under arrest for the murder of John Joseph and Sylvester Otis." The police woman said, bringing out the hand cuff.
He walked away, with the imprint of his parents shocked face, the only thing he was grateful for was, his sibling are not awake yet to see him in handcuff.
