We decided to travel in our wolf forms so that we could cover distances quickly. After a few days of running, when we covered half the distance, we finally decided to rest. Raven told me these woods were last to be covered as wolves because now human areas will begin at the end of these woods.

Now we have to cover the rest of the distance as humans. to refuel our strength, we needed to rest for the night. we used our bags as pillows. I was about to sleep but when my eyes landed on Raven, he was tossing and turning. I sighed and asked. "Why are you so restless?"

Raven was looking at the sky and he shook his head.

I kept my hand over his arm and asked. "Look at me."

Raven looked into my eyes and lied. "It's nothing."

I sighed. "Hey, we passed this NOTHING stage a long time ago so cut the crap and tell me what is bothering you."

Raven sat up. "I want you to withdraw from all this."

I also sat up. "What do you mean?"

Raven cupped my face. "This is my battle to fight. I don't want you to put yourself and your pack in danger because of me."

I shook my head. "I am not fighting your battle, Raven. I just want to replace that vicious alpha from my rival pack. It will be beneficial for me as well."

Raven kissed me. "I can fight for myself."

I kissed him back. "I don't doubt your ability to fight for your rights, but my pack's backing would make you stronger. You have no idea how wicked Derek has become. Also, until our bond fades, I want to be with you."

Raven opened his mouth, but he immediately shut it. He smashed his lips against mine before I could inquire whether he was hiding anything. I let go of my inquiry and gave him more access to my mouth by parting my lips. His hands moved down to my ass and he pulled me over his lap. My hands moved up to his head. We were both at peace and enjoying the calmness within us. We resumed our rest to prepare ourselves for the rest of the journey.
