Spiders

*knock knock*
The doors of the observatory were pushed open by Eris; responding slightly hesitantly to the entry request. However, her facial expression quickly shifted as her gaze met what lay behind it. Echo stood proudly in the morning sunshine, light reflecting off his metal exterior, and stack of the stolen things behind him.

The eagle stood mouth agape; not knowing how this happened.
"You- You did it!" She fluttered. "Oh, by Mt. Cavora, they're all here! Thank you, thank you, thank you!... but-? How? Who was the thief?"

"You found the ghost?!" Rogon suddenly appeared out of seemingly nowhere, startling them both.

The little robot gave a chuckle. "No, it wasn't a ghost. Nothing like that at all actually. You see-" suddenly he paused; remembering the last thing Sypher had said to him before he left. The poor little thing begged not to be told on. He implored him to make up some excuse- ANYTHING- but that would be lying. Lying is wrong. However... Sypher must have had a good reason not to want Eris knowing about him, right? Thinking about it, he had just now recalled a fuzzy memory of being in the lighthouse. It was blurry, but he remembered being with a seagull. Perhaps he was petting it or talking to it, but what he did remember was it had one day decided to fly down and eat the spider that had made a nest in the corner. He cried for hours after that. Maybe Sypher believed Eris was going to eat him similarly to the previous incident? Echo hadn't heard about any of the animals in Chima eating each other, but what does he really know? So now it was either lie, which he was very against, or possibly be putting his new friend in danger. Which would also be very wrong, seeing how he was built to protect. Eventually, one desire overrid the other.

"Right-" Echo started. "Actually, I never saw their face. I found the stolen things in a small cave and only heard their voice. We did talk for a moment however, and they seemed to be very sorry for what they had done. They said that they will never do it again and they ask for your forgiveness."

OW. LYING HURTS. PHYSICALLY HURTS HIS PROGRAMMING...

Rogon and Eris both stood there for a moment looking confused, but shrugged it off for the time being. Well, as promised, after they put everything back on the shelves, the two sat down around a big circular table and talked while Rogon went off to do other things. Eris asked several questions regarding the inner workings of the nindroid, and majority of them yielded pretty satisfying answers. Echo also asked several questions and got plenty of answers; at one point Eris just suggested he borrow a history book to answer some of the rest. One question however-

"..Do you know anything about a spider tribe?"

The birds eyes grew wide then narrowed with curiosity and suspension. "Spiders..? Why do you want to know about them?"

"Oh, no reason in particular. I just overheard some ravens maybe mention something about them. I could have heard wrong..."

ERROR!!! STOP LYING! JUST STOP!!

"Ah, I see. Well, if you're going to live in Chima you might as well know-"

The Spider Tribe is one of the least friendly tribes in all of Chima. They choose to live in the Outlands, at least, before the Merge messed with locations- where their current residence is, no one knows. Regardless, they're all vicious and nasty, stopping at nothing to get what they want. The Spiders once aided in the capture of the Legend Beasts, a group of powerful, ancient guardian creatures. Them, as well as the Bats and the Scorpions nearly started a war. It was a shaky alliance between the three dark tribes, yet they still managed to work together to attempt to steal all the CHI. In the end, they were brought to justice, and since then, they really haven't tried to pull too many stunts. A little trouble here and there, but nothing major. Regardless, they're not a tribe you can trust. If you come across them, it's bound to be bad news.

Echo sat frozen in his chair, looking down at the dark blue table covered in gold constellations. Spiders... were the bad guys? And he just let one go! Maybe Sypher's shy personally was all a LIE! Maybe he wanted those books for some nefarious purpose! What if he was just the first of several new attacks?! What if the Spiders, Scorpions, and Bats were going to try to start another war!!? Oh, First Spinjitzu Master, he felt dizzy all of a sudden.

"Well, Eris- it was very nice getting to talk to you, but I should really be headed back to the Beaver Lodge. Love to talk more sometime!" Echo quickly excused himself and ran, leaving the eagle alone and rather confused, possibly a little suspicious.

Echo ran, not even stopping to say hello to a gorilla group that waved to him as he dashed by. He might have just made a massive mistake! AND LIED ABOUT IT! AAAHH!! That makes it so much worse! He dodged and weaved around several of the jungle's obstacles only to find himself back at the cave entrance. He burst in, now standing feet away from a shocked Sypher.

"You!"
