"Oh- Hello Echo!" Sypher smiled. "Did Eris accept the apology? You didn't tell her about me, right?"

"No! I didn't! But that's exactly it- I lied, which practically goes against my programming! For you!" The robot appeared incredibly stressed, which concerned the little spider. "Look, Eris and I talked and.. she told me everything. When were you going to tell me your tribe is evil?... are you?"

Sypher's shy demeanor faltered for a moment into heartbreak then he turned away. Echo wasn't mad at him, in fact, he didn't think he'd ever been mad in his entire life, but he was on full alert now. Finally after a moment of silence, the arachnid spoke up.

"Look, I was really excited when we first met because you didn't seem to know anything about what my tribe had done in the past. That meant you could see me for who I was without involving where I was from. It was like a clean slate. In hindsight, it was probably stupid to think that you wouldn't ever find out. But I promise you I'm not evil.." He rubbed his arm while making eye contact with the ground.

Alright, now Echo was conflicted. On one hand, the poor thing could be telling the truth, but on the other, he could just be trying to pull a fast one via manipulation. "Well if you're not here to invade or do anything bad- then why aren't you with the rest of your tribe in the outlands?" He questioned.

The spiders gaze remained locked on the ground. "I got separated from them during the Merge. I don't know where I am or where they are- but I don't actually want to go back to the nest anyway, so I just-" He looked around at the pathetic cave both of them stood in. "-live here now."

The nindroid sighed. He supposed he jumped to conclusions in regards to Sypher's situation. Echo decided not poke further on the subject seeing as how it appeared to make him uncomfortable, so he apologized. Much to his delight, the apology was accepted, but the spider remained stand-offish. Assuming that was just his personality, Echo respected his desire to be alone and left.. but not before promising to return at some point. In his mind, he'd just made a new friend. A scared, shy, who knows how trustworthy friend, but still a friend nonetheless. That made him happy.

Further away, two small brown blurs darted through the forest as fast as possible. Twig bounced from one location to another in a frantic dash. Not good, not good! Echo had gone missing yesterday morning and hadn't returned to the lodge since! Daisy followed behind her friend, bounding after him as he crossed into territories the two hadn't before; all while praying they didn't run into another mimic. They had previously gotten brave enough to check if the Ravens kidnapped him again, only to find that wasn't the case. Possibly finding out they may or may not be looking for the runaway robot? They of course checked all over Beaver Tribe territory, in which Branch even stopped working and assisted with. Getting that Beaver away from work was extremely difficult, so you know it's serious when he voluntarily does so. Currently, Branch was back at the lodge waiting to see if Echo would return on his own. Totally not an excuse to stay back and fix things. Now, it looked like their metallic friend had simply vanished.

"Come on Twig, there's got to be a better way to do this." Daisy sighed. "My paws are starting to feel like jello."

Twig jumped on top of a fallen log, glancing back at his younger friend. She was right. They'd been running around trying to find Echo for what felt like an eternity. There had to be some better mode of getting around...
Just as that thought hit, so did something else in the distance. The sound of something crashing into a tree rang out through the forest. Instinctively, Twig rushed to discover what it was; quickly finding out it came from a bear. It was snoring away on the ground, laying like it was tossed there. Beside them was a toppled speedor. The situation very quickly became apparent. The bear had fallen asleep while riding it and apparently wasn't paying too much attention, because they crashed into a tree. Funny enough, bears are usually very good drivers while asleep, so perhaps this one just had a bad dream? Regardless of the cause, this whole ordeal gave Twig an idea...
An idea Daisy quickly got dragged into that she was NOT happy about.

"Are you POSITIVE this is a good idea?" She whimpered as she tried to balance on the vehicle. It wobbled slightly from the shifting weight of the two small creatures positioning themselves to ride.

"Oh- stop your worrying..." Twig sighed playfully while he jumped up to reach the handlebars. The beaver dangled from them; lifting himself to see over the steering. The Speedor was made for a bear, not a beaver. Let alone a small child one. It was massive for them. "Besides," he continued, "you want to find Echo as fast as possible, right?"

Daisy glanced down; pawing at the Speedor's base. "Yeah... I do. I'm just worried that-" Before the sentence could be finished, the vehicle sped away, narrowly dodging the trees around them. Daisy panicked and hung on to the foot rests, meanwhile Twig was having the time of his life driving. Truthfully, neither had ever rode one of these things before, and certainly not driven one. It was pretty obvious... especially to the lion they almost hit on the way down a hill. He watched on looking rather horrified as they yelled out an apology; still not slowing down.

"See Daisy? Isn't this fun?! Different on top of this thing, I can look around and see where Echo might be!"

"That's well and good but-.... WAIT. Did you say you were looking around!? When you're driving- aren't you supposed to be looking only-"

*CRASH*

The two smashed into a tree.

"-at the road.." Daisy finished.

The two shook off the impact while still laying on the ground, but immediately froze upon hearing a large crackling noise. In terror, the small animals scattered as the tree they crashed into toppled. With the smash, they opened their eyes to find the tree down and several pieces of wood and metal scattered around. It looked like something was in the tree when it fell. Luckily, it wasn't anything alive. Just looked like a bunch of junk.

Twig quivered. "On second thought, maybe we're better off walking..."

Daisy wanted SO bad to tell him off, but he already started running, so she chased after him without another word.

Echo took in a deep breath of fresh air as he took the scenic route through the jungle. It was very peaceful...

...until you're face down in the dirt with two beavers jumping on top of you and bombarding you with questions. Oh well. Good to be home.
