Nine days later...

Carmen: "Kick ass and take names, sounds like my cup of tea."

Carmen, Dominic, Ashley, Dawn, and Connor and the new team setting off.

Jeremy: "Good luck guys."

Dawn: "You are literally luck."

Matt: "Just be careful. The enemy had just as much time to get their bearings as you."

Connor: "We're too cool to get our asses handed to us."

Dominic: "Whatever you say."

They head out.

Meanwhile...

??? 2: "You know what you'll do if you overexert the Rewrite Wave."

The last two are discussing the current turn of events.

??? 1: "I'll try not to..."

He clenches his fist.

??? 1: "... especially after Ospinn."

Fifteen minutes later...

Carmen: "This'll be a pain in the ass."

The heroes have arrived at the waterworks by the local river, only to find it, as usual, desolate.

Dawn: "How do these guys even get these places empty by the time we get there?"

Ashley: "Don't know, and I don't care."

Connor cautiously opens the front door to find everything inside intact and the power isn't cut.

Connor: "We're clear."

They equip their Relay Gear.

Dominic: "I just hope this doesn't end badly."

They head inside.

Meanwhile...

Rizai: "The Rewrite Wave mustn't be able to surface again!"

Rizai stands in a room emptied of any materials.

Rizai: "The abilities to alter the past and future must stay as far apart as possible!"

Meanwhile...

Connor: "What's up with this?"

Test tubes, chemicals, water samples, and carts fill most rooms and hallways.

Dawn: "I doubt that they'd want people breaking-"

Enemies get the jump from behind.

Dawn: "Pollen Wave!"

The enemies start sneezing up a storm.

Connor: "Flare Wave!"

The itching sensation is followed up by actual burning.

Ashley: "Of course we weren't safe."

More enemies are heard from further ahead.

Dominic: "I doubt that they'd want to keep us bored while we're here."

They charge forward.

Meanwhile...

Jeremy: "(yawning) Looks like we get to take things easy."

The others are bored as hell.

Nicole: "It feels good."

Matthew is reading a math textbook.

Matthew: "Gives me time to read ahead."

Half hour later...

Connor: "Housekeeping?"

Ashley: "Don't bring that back."

The heroes have scoured room after room, leaving a room with a key card locked door as the last one.

Dawn: "Let's test out this bad boy."

Dawn inserts a blue key card, giving them the green light.

Carmen: "Let's hurry up, this place reeks of science class."

They open the door to find Rizai standing at the center.

Rizai: "Chaos Wave."

A blast of red lightning strikes Dominic's brain, but not damaging him in the slightest.

Connor: "Starting off with a bang I see."

Dominic begins smashing against the walls.

Dominic: "(struggling) What the hell did you do to me?!"

Rizai: "Rasputin has the ability to force one's body into pure chaos."

Dominic has no control over himself.

Dawn: "Well shit."

Dominic smacks into Ashley, but she pushes him back.

Ashley: "So our support is going to attack us while we attack you."

Rizai: "You all catch on quick."

Connor shoves Dominic to his back.

Rizai: "Subzero Wave."

Dawn gets a face full of ice and slams into the wall.

Carmen: "Just great."

Ashley: "Shadow Wave!"

Ashley avoids another attack and lands a good punch in the back of Rizai's skull.

Rizai: "Not yet!"

She takes aim at Carmen with the Chaos Wave.

Carmen: "Why me?"

A light blue light flashes in Carmen's eyes.

Rizai: "That's why."

Connor shoves Carmen out of the way of the attack.

Ashley: "(sighing) You fucking idiot."

Connor is going berserk.

Connor: "(struggling) Make some magic happen please!"

Rizai takes aim at Carmen.

Rizai: "I won't miss this time."

Carmen: "(smirking) Oh yeah? Haze Wave!"

Rizai's vision grows hazy.

Rizai: "(smirking) Just what we wanted."

Ashley: "Drain Wave!"

What little strength inside of Rizai is drained away, allowing the effects of the Chaos Wave to wear off.

Connor: "(relieved) Thank god."

Dawn is trying to shake off the attack while Ashley gets the police and Connor gets Nicole.

Dawn: "(groaning) That's just great."

Connor: "(on the phone) We did the job. You know what to do."

Connor hangs up as everyone takes off their Relay Gear.

Dominic: "So how's she going to-"

Nicole teleports into the center of the room.

Nicole: "Let's get out of here."

Everyone grabs on.

Carmen: "Gladly."

Nicole: "Teleportation Wave!"

They all teleport away...
