ECHO▪Part 1
♢
' The clock stopped ticking, forever ago...
How long have I been up? I don't know.'
♢
[Primadonna 📺]
Ten minutes have passed. Or who knows, maybe longer. And yet, the verdant-haired girl stood still as stone in the center of the parkway, her viridian eyes fixated on a Roman clock tower standing tall in the far distance.
How long will she stay there, standing and humming to herself like an idiot? Honestly, Primadonna didn't know.
That idiotic child was oblivious as fuck. Her attention span's as short as a matchstick--And once her brain starts pumping fantastic thoughts through her puny little head, Gumi tends to--No; always forgets that reality even exists.
This was one of those moments.
Primadonna sighed irritably and folded her arms. 《 I swear. This kid's disorder is going to be her own death someday. :-( 》 She muttered as she watched from behind the scenes. 'And maybe even mine.' She added shortly after, but kept that part within the confines of her own mind.
The whole thing felt a little bit like a movie--A boring one, at that. But because it is a 'movie', she couldn't really interfere much even though she was inside the child's mind. Because sometimes, Gumi forgets that she even exists.
'Some friend.' Primadonna seethed. Though she knew since so long ago that she had to stretch her patience when it came to Gumi. The little girl really didn't have much control--Just looking at her ruffled, black school uniform and messy, uncombed short hair... She looked like she just climbed out of bed. (Which she didn't, by the way.)
《 Gumi, get a grip. << 》 Primadonna buzzed and called out to the child, though she wasn't so certain if the green-haired girl heard her. 《 FYI you're supposed to be walking home from school. Not checking if the d**m clock tower is still working. 》
That seemed to do it. Gumi jumped up, giggling as she did so. Primadonna noticed that some nearby onlookers were giving strange looks to the young child. But as usual, Gumi was her own oblivious self, not even noticing that simple, obvious fact that she was attracting unwanted attention.
Primadonna scowled. 《 Go @&$! Home. 》
"Okie dokie~!" Gumi sang in a giddy, happy tone. Primadonna was surprised--She actually replied. The little girl twirled in place, not even caring that people were watching. Then the child skipped down the cobblestone pathway through the park, happy and carefree, and seemingly high. Too much sugar?
Primadonna groaned and slapped herself in the face; or rather, the screen. A poor attempt to face-palm, she knew; but she couldn't help it. Gumi was having one of her drugged episodes right now, and that was the last thing Primadonna wanted while they were still outside the house.
《 Gumi. Normal. Now. >:( 》 Primadonna buzzed sternly, adding an angry emoji in her screen words for an extra, appealing effect. It didn't work though, for again, Gumi did not see her words. Her mind has wandered--And she has started chasing common butterflies around the park.
Primadonna groaned, slumping backwards. 'This is going to take a while...' She told herself with much annoyance. 《 :’( 》
But, oh well. Patience is a virtue, right? Right.
But sadly, it's NOT one of Primadonna's virtues.
