Sky's P.O.V

The North Village people are here. Some are outside sitting on the ground. We gave them warm stuff to warm since it's in the middle of winter. I walk in the Training Area. Jason and Echo are training their recruits. They look at me. I stop next to Echo.

"Hey why are all those people out there?" Danny asks. I look at him. I didn't tell the recruits what is going on. I just told them to take care of them, like give them food and something warm to wear.

"The North Village is having some weird problems and Robert wants us to check it out. He said that Echo and Mitch should go." Echo looks at me.

"Does Mitch know yet?" Echo asks. I haven't got to him yet. She was the closest to me.

"No I still need to talk to him. Is that okay with you Jason?" Jason looks at me. He looks shock like he was not expecting for me to ask that.

"That's fine. Maybe since Mitch is going Jerome and I could combine recruits till they get back." Jason said. That's a good idea. I pull Echo aside. She looks at me. Jason continues with whatever they are doing.

"Echo with what is happening there I would assume that Herobrine is the cause of this."

"I was thinking of that too. But why would he take people for no reason?" Echo asks. At least we are on the same page here.

"I will have to look into it. I'll get Mitch." Echo nods. She leaves. Jason looks at me.

"Tell me that it's not bad." Jason said. He is worried. I am too.

"Don't worry Jason. I'm sure that they will be fine." I leave. I walk towards Mitch and Jerome. Robert grabs my arm and pulls me away from where I'm going. I look at him. He better not be continuing lecturing me. If he is I'm leaving to talk to Mitch.

"If your going to continue this lecture I'm leaving to talk to Mitch." Robert lets go of me.

"Sky I just care about you okay. Can you at least try to take care of yourself?" Robert asks. I can take care of myself. I'm fine. Lisa and Echo helped me out. I listen to Robert but I have to go.

"Sorry I'm just a mess. I guess sometimes being a leader messes with my head and puts a lot of stress on me. But I have to go." Robert smiles.

"You are a mess. Everyone needs help Sky. Even you need help sometimes. But go we'll continue this later. Go. And thanks." Robert said. For what? Why is he thanking me?

"For what?"

"Letting us stay here. Means a lot to us." Robert said. O that. I look around and then back at him. They seem glad to be here and not at the village.

"Your welcome. Don't worry you'll be back home soon." I leave Robert and open the door. I see Mitch and Jerome. They look at me.

"Mitch Echo needs you outside. The North Village is having weird things happening. Go." Mitch leaves. Jerome walks towards me. He is mad. I put my hand out and stop him.

"Jerome they'll be fine. You and Jason will be pairing up to train both of your recruits together." Jerome stops. He still has rage in his eyes. He crosses his arms. He is glaring at me.

"Fine, but they better come back okay." Jerome said. I can feel the threat tone in his voice rising. Last time Mitch went out he came back, not okay. But this time Echo is with him. He will be fine. He walks past me with his recruits. I stand there looking at the ground. I don't know what to expect at the village. I just hope they will be fine. Hopefully I'm wrong and Herobrine is not involved in this. If he is at the village....they won't stand a chance. I know that Echo went against Herobrine by herself, but he vanish before they finished. I look across the room. There are targets with arrows in them. I walk towards them. I look at them. They are making really good progress. I hear the door open. I cross my arms. I don't move or turn to see who it is. I feel a hand on my shoulder. It turns me around. Quentin, Ian, Seto, and Ty are looking at me. They look confuse. Ty has his hand on my shoulder.

"What's going on Sky?" Quentin asks.

Echo's P.O.V

We go in the North Village. There are burned buildings everywhere. Thick fog is in the air. I get off my horse. I grab the lead in my hand. Mitch gets off too. We start walking. I look around and we walk. It's so depressing here. Robert told us who was missing. It's mostly children. I would suspect witches, but why would they destroy buildings?

"This is depressing." Mitch said.

"Yeah it is. Check out the buildings see if there is anything." We tie up our horses. I open up a door I walk inside. A cold breeze comes as I opened the door. It's cold in here. I walk in a room. I stop. There's a crib in here. A family must live here. Not just one person. This is a two story building. Nothing seems to be out of the original. I walk up stairs. I stop once I'm a few steps up. Something is wrong, I can feel it. I peek over the second floor floor. I slam against the wall. Why is that up there?! I pull my sword out. I grip the handle tight. I slowly go up the steps. I stop at the top and put my hand on the railing. The lights are flickering. There's blood all over the wall. It spells out a message.

"I warned you." What does the mean? Who warned us? I hear creaking. The lights go out completely. I don't like this. Someone grabs my arm and pushes my against the wall. They have their arm across my chest. They grab my wrists and pins them against the wall above me. I look at them. All I can see is white eyes. I dropped my sword.

"So I see that your still alive. Shadow didn't do what I asked." Herobrine said. He puts something on my wrists so I can't move them.

"Your doing this."

"Test subjects are needed Echo. But I will not have Sky or you destroying it." Herobrine said. I
smile.

"Then stop making your plans so public you idiot." He punches me across my face. I look at him. I think I'm making him mad. I hope I am. Sky was right. Herobrine is involved in this. Test subjects for what? I can't take off whatever he put on my wrists. It's stuck there. I struggle to get them off.

"They are made of obsidian Echo. I think you could be useful for leverage." Herobrine said. Leverage for what? He grabs my arm.

"MITCH!!" I have to let Mitch know something is wrong. We teleport somewhere. I'm still on the wall. I open my eyes. Herobrine is a couple of feet away from me. A kid is in a chair, chained to it. I look around. The people who were missing are here. They are sitting on the ground with their feet chained. Families are holding their children tight. I look at Herobrine. The people look at me.

"Echo help." One kid said. I look at him. He has to be 17 years old. Does Herobrine have a heart? O wait I know the answer..NO!! The kid in the chair looks at me. His eyes widen.

"Now Andrew are you going to cooperate?" Herobrine asks.

"No." Andrew said. That kid is brave to say no.

"Well in that case, you guys may know her. Echo. Uri." Herobrine said. Who's Uri? Someone shows up with a bow. It has an arrow in it and it pointed at me. He has a about three arrows in his quiver.

"Andrew don't listen to Herobrine. Whatever he does to me, ignore it." I don't know what is going on, but I think that Andrew is who Herobrine is after. Uri lets go of the arrow. I brace myself. It goes in my knee. I yell as pain goes in my knee and through my body. I grit my teeth and look at the ground.

"Stop it!" Someone yells. Uri draws another arrow back. I look up.

"Anything Andrew?" Herobrine asks. Andrew looks at me. I shake my head no. He has to trust me. Uri has three arrows left. He has ti run out.

"N-No." Andrew said. He's doubting my ability to take this pain. I can take it. I hope.

"Another Uri." Herobrine said.

"No!" Someone yells. I feel the arrow enter my side. I scream in pain. I feel the tip of the arrow hit the rock wall behind me. I look at the ground again. An unbearable pain hits me everywhere. I have been through worst.

"How much can Echo take before she gives up?" Herobrine asks. I look up. I glare at him. I can take this fine.

"I'm fine." It's bad if your use to a pain and I am use to it.

"Still nothing Andrew? Uri?" Herobrine asks. Uri aims another arrow at me. He releases. It enters my shoulder. I scream again. It went in my right shoulder.

"I will give you time to think about it." Herobrine said. Herobrine takes Uri's last arrow and gives it to Andrew. Uri disappears. Herobrines appears in front of me. He grabs the arrow in my shoulder. He moves it. An unbearable pain comes. I grit my teeth. He smiles.

"Andrew did this Echo. Remember that." Herobrine whispers in my ear. He disappears. The pressure goes off my shoulder.

"Echo I'm so sorry!" Andrew yells. I look at him. He's blurring. That's not good.

"It's f-fine." I look at the ground. Pain is coming everywhere. I close my eyes. I sink to the ground. I lean on the wall. My wrists are still attached to the wall. At least it slide down with me.

"Are you okay Echo?" Someone asks.

"Well of course she isn't. She has three arrows in her. Two of them worry me the most." Someone said. So not three of them.

"Which ones?" Someone asks.

"The ones in her shoulder and side. She could die from those." Someone said. I know that. I lean my head back. I focus on breathing. I block out the conversation. But that just makes the pain worst. I need to make sure that my breathing is normal. But it's hard. I can feel myself slipping into darkness.

Andrew's P.O.V

I look at Echo. She's dying because of me. I have the arrow in my hand. I drop it on the ground. Someone appears next to me. It's a girl. She unties me and hands me something.

"Use it wisely. Your only getting one." She said as she looks at Echo. She disappears.

"What is it?" Someone asks. I uncover it. A first-aid kit! O my god yes!!

"A first aid kit!" I run to Echo. I kneel beside her. Her eyes are close.

"That's good." Someone said.

"Hurry Andrew. We don't know how long we have till we lose her." Someone said. I open the box. I put my hand on Echo's neck. She still has a pulse. She opens her eyes and looks at me. Her eyes are ember color. I thought they were something different.

"I'm going to take this arrows out of you Echo." She looks like she is in a lot of pain.

"Okay." Echo said. I go through the box.

"Do you want me to numb you when I pull it out?" I look at her.

"No just do it." Echo said. What?! I look at her confuse.

"Are you sure?"

"I'm use to pain. Just do it without it." Echo said. I grab an arrow that's in her knee. I look at Echo.

"Ready?"

"Yeah." Echo said. I start pulling it out. I can feel Echo tensing up. She starts yelling. I pull it out. I throw it on the floor. I quickly grab a rag. I put pressure in it. I put a pad on it. I put a pad on the other side. I grab some gaze. I put the bloodstained rag on the ground next to me. I wrap her knee tight. I cut the gaze to length. I clip it sealed. I lean back a little. I look at my hands. They are covered in Echo's blood. I go up on the other side if her. I took everything with me. I need to look at it. I look at Echo. I want her permission before I touch her. I respect her personal space.

"Echo I need to-"

"I don't care Andrew. If you have too do it." Echo said. Ok I have permission. I look around. People are watching. I would too, Echo is our only shot out of here. I'm not gonna let her die because of me. I put some gaze and pads at the ready. I grab the arrow in her side. I look at her.

"Ready?" Echo nods. I start pulling it. Echo grits her teeth and then starts screaming. I pull it out. I throw it on the ground. I instantly pull up her shirt. I put my hand under her wound. I put pressure on both sides. I need to make sure she doesn't lose too much blood. I put pads on both sides. I grab the gaze. I look at Echo and then focus back at what I'm doing. I wrap the gaze around her side tight. I cut it. I clip it seal. I look at her. She looks dizzy and out of it. I put my hand on her neck. She looks at me.

"You okay?" She still has a steady pulse.

"I'm fine, just dizzy." Echo said. That's not good. She is losing a lot of blood. Dizzy is the first stage to passing out or dying because of blood loss.

"Ok tell me when you start feeling weak and short of breathe. Last one Echo." I take my hand off of her. How am I going to do this? I look at the things tieing her to the wall. This is a weak type of chain. I look at her.

"Have a knife on you?" Why did I ask that? Of course she does.

"Yeah, on my right ankle." Echo said. I slide down. I pull her pant leg up. I see a knife. I pull it out. I look at it. The blade looks amazing. Where is her sword? Nevermind. I stand up and start working on the chain. It breaks. I grab her right arm before it hits the floor. Since the arrow is in her shoulder, she will barely be able to control it and it will hurt hitting the ground. I lie her arm on the ground. I cut her left chain. She puts her arm on the ground. I grab the arrow on her shoulder. I put my hand on the back of her shoulder. I feel the arrow on the other side. I look at her.

"Ok this one may take longer cause where its at. I need you to stay with me, just look at me. Ready for this?" Echo looks at me.

"Yeah." Echo said. I take a deep breath. Okay here's goes. I pull it out. Echo screams. I put a rag and put pressure on it. I pull her shirt down. I feel the rag soaking with blood. It's dripping on the floor. I need to be fast. I grab two pads and put them on both sides of her shoulders. I put the rag down on the ground. I grab the gaze. I wrap it around her chest and them down her arm a little. I wrap it not very tight she can still breathe. I cut it. I put it on the ground. I clip it sealed. I pull her shirt up carefully. She is covered in blood. I bet it's not a first. I put things away.

"Thanks Andrew." Echo said. I smile. I close the box. I sit next to her. This is all my fault. I did this to her.

"It's my fault that I had to do it in the first place. I'm sorry that I got you shot three times. I didn't know that I would cause this to one of you guys." I take a clean rag and try to get her blood of my hands. I got must of it off. My hands are red from it. I drop the rag on the ground. I look at the ground. I never felt so guilty before. I feel her hand on my shoulder. I look at her.

"But you also saved me. Andrew I have had worst then this. We all have. When I said I was use to pain, I was not kidding. We all have more scars and bruises then we can count. We all are up to the point of where we don't know how much longer our bodies can take it. Don't blame yourself. It was Herobrine that did it not you." Echo said. It's bad that they are use to pain. When I pulled up her shirt I saw scars on her stomach and side.

"But I was the one who decided to have you shot at. It's my fault that happen to you." Echo looks at the ground.

"You are acting like Sky was." Echo said. I look at her. What does she mean by that?

"What?" She looks at me.

"Sky right now is a mess. He was blaming himself for something that happen in the past. Sky couldn't have done anything to stop it in the past. But he thought he was the cause of it. It was tearing him up inside. But I told him that things happen for a reason. He couldn't have stopped it." Echo said. Wow. This is something that the villages don't hear. I'm sure no one does. She is trying to make a point.

"What happen?"

"Sky's stubborn Andrew. It will take a lot more then me. Lisa talked to him and I'm sure that Robert is when I left. The point is that things happen for a reason. You can't change the past. So don't blame yourself for this. I'll survive cause of you." Echo said. I smile. I didn't know that Sky was stubborn. She's right though. I know that.

"Your right. But who's Lisa?" Echo smiles.

"I think that she's Sky's girlfriend now. Sky needed to actually take his mind off of the base for at least ten minutes. I helped him with that. They seen perfect for each other and I was right." Echo said. Sky has a girlfriend now? That will make all the girls that like Sky at my school jealous and come crawling to us guys. Sky and them sort of took must of the girls at my school. They don't even know it.

"Any of the other guys you helped out?"

"Yeah Mitch and soon Jason. Them boys needed to take a break once of a while." Echo said. How about her?

"How about you then?" Echo looks at me.

"I like to see a guy to get past Mitch. He's overprotective of that sort of stuff. He is acting like I'm 10 still." Echo said. I can picture Mitch being overprotective of her little sister. He just doesn't want her feelings to get hurt. Or for her heart to be broken cause of some guy.

"Mitch is trying to protect you. You are his little sister. Well a little teenager sister. How old are you again?"

"I'm 16." Echo said. Wow she is younger then I thought.

"I thought you were like 18 or 19."

"I'm not that old. Sky is 19. He's the oldest out of all of us." Echo said. They are all teenagers then. They had to grow fast so others didn't. That sucks.

"I got to ask, but how did you get here?" Echo looks at the ground.

"What village are you from?" Echo asks.

"North."

"Mitch and I are suppose to find put why people were disappearing and fires were starting out of nowhere. I was in a house away from Mitch, when Herobrine attack me out of nowhere. Then I ended up here." Wait she was with Mitch?!?

"You were with Mitch?"

"Oh sh*t. Mitch will get a surprise he won't like. He will be blinded again that I'm gone and only focus on getting me back." Echo said. I look at my watch. It's almost midnight. The wounds Echo has will put her at a disadvantage but we have the advantage with her here. She should rest though. I look at her.

"You should get some rest. Let those wounds heal." Everyone else was going to sleep.

"Okay." Echo said.

"You can use me as a pillow." I hear her laugh a little. She puts her head on my shoulder. I put my arm around her shoulder. I'm not trying to hit in her if that's what your thinking. I'm not going to push her.

"You can lay in me." This would make Mitch mad I bet. She moves a little. She puts her head on my chest.

Echo's P.O.V

I put my head on Andrew's chest. I put myself in a position so it won't hurt as much. I have my left shoulder on him. My legs are between his. I put my hands on his chest. I feel his arms go around me. Mitch would be mad about this. He is like a parent. He's overprotective, I know why. I still have braces on my wrists from what Herobrine put on me. I close my eyes. I drift into darkness.

I have to tell you guys something that has been bothering me for a while. I think that my writing is getting bad. It was good at the beginning and then it started getting bad. I don't know why. Tell me what you think. I hope you enjoyed the chapter!!!
