Stiles's Pov

When June and I walked into the cafeteria we were lucky that the line wasn't that big so we were able to get our lunch fast and went to go find the others.

We spotted Jake and Luke sitting together and we immediately made our way towards them.

They smiled at us when we arrived and we smiled back at them.

"Hey, how long have you guys been here?" I asked in curiosity.

I sat down next to Luke after he made space for me and June sat next to Jake.

"Not long, a few minutes" Luke replied and I nodded.

"Where's Liv?" June asked in curiosity.

"She's talking to one of her teachers about something but she should be back soon" Jake replied.

June hummed and nodded before beginning to eat her lunch.

Jake went back to eating his leaving Luke and I to continue talking to each other.

"Are you alright?" Luke asked.

"Of course. Why wouldn't I be?" I asked.

"I was going to find you so we could head to lunch together but I had to turn in some stupid assignment so I couldn't" Luke explained.

I smiled, "that's fine and besides June came to find me and we came together. So no need to worry" I told him.

"Good" Luke smiled.

I blushed slightly when he wrapped his arm around my shoulders before beginning to eat his lunch.

Jake and June smirked at us and I resisted the urge to glare at them and just ate my lunch.

We all sat in comfortable silence, and just ate our lunch while the entire cafeteria was filled with chatter given the amount of people in here that were speaking to their friends.

We hear footsteps coming towards us and we all turn around to see Olivia walking towards us.

"Hey, sorry I'm late" Olivia said to us.

She sat down next to June's other side and set her tray down on the table before taking a seat.

June smiled at her girlfriend and immediately scooted closer to her to which Olivia smiled and kissed her cheek in greeting.

"It's fine, just glad you're here" Luke told her with a small smile.

"Me too. The stupid teacher was taking up most of my time" Olivia rolled her eyes.

"Anything important?" Jake asked in curiosity.

"Not one bit" Olivia shook her head before stuffing her face with food.

I chuckled softly at that while the others either laughed or shook their heads in amusement.

"So, are you guys going to be going on that date soon?" June asked in curiosity.

"Yes we are. In a few days" Luke replied with a smile.

"By any chance are you going to tell me where we're going?" I asked, turning to him with a raised eyebrow.

"Nope" Luke grinned while shaking his head at me.

I huffed in annoyance while the others began laughing in amusement, causing me to glare at them.

"Don't worry, Stiles. I know how you feel. June does the same with me whenever she plans a date for us" Olivia chuckled.

"Excuse me for wanting our special dates to be a surprise" June pouted.

Olivia chuckled and leaned in to kiss her pout away which made her girlfriend smile at her.

Jake scoffed as he shoved a french fry into his mouth while rolling his eyes.

"God, I really need to get myself a girlfriend or a boyfriend. I feel so single" Jake said in annoyance.

"Because you are" Luke reminded him.

"Shut up" Jake glared at him while giving him the middle finger.

Luke rolled his eyes while the girls and I laughed in amusement.

"Don't worry, Jake. I'm single too and so is Luke" I reminded him with a small smile.

"Bullshit" Jake scoffed while shaking his head.

"Excuse me?" Luke and I asked in unison, sparing each other a glance.

"You two say you're single yet you act like boyfriends. We know it and so does everyone else at this stupid school" Olivia rolled her eyes.

"Yeah, I hear tons of people gossiping about you two whenever they see you hold hands or kiss each other" June added.

I blushed bright red at that while Luke grumbled something under his breath.

Do people really think Luke and I are a couple?

I mean, yeah, we hold hands and we kiss, cheek, forehead or sometimes the lips, but we're not dating.

We agreed to take things slow and we haven't set any labels or anything like that.

Everyone here should know that we're not dating.

At least...

Not yet...

"Look, what other people say doesn't matter. What matters is that I am willing to wait as long as Stiles needs to" Luke sternly said.

He turned to me and gently held my hands in his.

"I'm not going to force you into a relationship, especially if you're not ready" Luke softly said.

I let a small smile appear on my face at that.

The fact that he is willing to wait for as long as he needs me to warms my heart even more.

But also the fact that he knows what happened in my last relationship and he knows that I need more time in order to move on.

Especially since my last relationship lasted for 2 years and I thought my now ex-boyfriend and I were in love.

I was stupid to believe that we were.

"Whatever, just don't get jealous if Stiles finds someone else" Jake rolled his eyes.

Luke's eyes widened slightly at that and his head snapped into Jake's direction so fast I was scared he got whiplash.

"What did you say?" Luke asked, his tone serious.

Jake shrugged before replying, "i'm just saying that there's tons of people that would wanna be with Stiles. I mean, have you see him?".

"I have to agree with him. Stiles is a good looking guy and he's bound to get asked by someone" Olivia added.

I blushed at that, especially since she basically complimented me by calling me good looking.

I'm not used to that. 

Even though Luke has told me many times how good I look, even going as far as to call me beautiful, I am not used to it.

Considering Derek never complimented me and we were together for 2 years.

But, I have to remember that he was only with me out of pity so I guess that doesn't really count.

I snapped out of my thoughts when I saw Luke scooting his chair closer to me, wrapping a protective arm around my waist.

"Yeah, well that's not going to happen. We might not be dating but that doesn't mean I'm going to let anyone steal him from me" Luke sternly said.

He then turned to look at me.

"Because while I am willing to wait, I don't give up let alone quit" Luke told me.

My eyes widened slightly when he leaned closer to me, placing his lips near my ear.

"When I want something, I get it. And what I want is you" Luke whispered.

I gulped slightly when his lips made contact with my ear, placing a soft kiss to it that sent pleasurable shivers down my spine.

"Rest assured that I will get you, love" Luke smirked.

He winked at me before turning around and going back to eating his lunch, never taking his arm off my waist.

Completely ignoring my flustered face and the fact that his sister and two friends were staring at us in shock.

Well, June and Jake were.

Olivia was trying her best not to laugh her ass off.

Not because of her brother's confidence, definitely not that, but at the fact that I looked as red as a tomato.

But, then again, did I really expect anything less from her?

No. Not really.
