I cheer them up (even if my humour is weird)
I talk to them (with the warmest of smiles)
I bring them out of their shell
I become their friends

My friends
I listen to them (whenever I can)
I help them (or at least I try)
I become their joker
I become their outlet

My teachers
I absorb their teachings
I do all their assignments (unless I'm lazy)
I assist them when needed
I am their blank paper to decorate

My parents
I respect them
I bend over backwards for them
I bring pride to their name
I am their prized child (the only one, anyway)

All these little things
I do for them
All the hardships
For their smiles

Beautiful smiles

Even if I'm taken for granted
I still persevere
