The boy and Teddy search.

For the mother who started all this. For the mother who could comfort them from this. The mother who the toddler is related to.

The mother who he silent wishes to be there.

The boy wonders in a place outside reality. His own mind in a state of comprehension. He only doesn't cry because the teddy bear reassures otherwise.

It's game over if noise lets the beast detect the duo.

Teddy doesn't have a clue if it's the heap or Hyde. The latter is easier to hide from. It skulked however I wanted. Egotistical at it's finest.

His companion feels different.

Teddy is slightly of his new friend hiding and cunningly knowing what to with the monsters. They look like the kind they would haunt a closet.

It's a image Teddy can't unsee.

Both human and stuffed animal creep around. Pieces of memory lost, only to be quickly found. The sooner the boy finds them the better.

It's not gonna end well if they fail.

Teddy watched the Toddler. His new human friend helping them both find the mother. Something's stopped them from their journey.

He'd forgotten two year old weren't adults.

The tv somehow stitches on.

A channel plays.

Teddy immediately gazed upon the sights. Internal panicking begins as the friend walks over and sits, watching intently as the show plays.

He can't describe what is currently on.

He peered around the corners, not missing the shadows crawling and the darkness seeping into his vision-

CLAP!

Loud sounds shock the stuffed animal. He glanced at the boy who now became almost hypnotised by the screen. It seemed better than their situation.

Then it sank in.

Monsters manipulated the situation. Teddy rushes to his human. Pulling on sleeves, trying to push.

Anything. Even begging.

The toddler only seems invested a second more before turning to the stuffed bear given as a birthday present once a moan rings through the house.

And no, it's not the dirty kind.

A ghostly moan. One you hear when your at a haunted place. One you don't want to hear.

The toddler now gains some awareness.

Grabbing teddy, rushing to place him on his back. Now running to get away from the monster who preyed upon the two.

The heap.

Vision swarming, the boy manages a short run as he spots a door in the distance of the hallway. Not even turning to look back, the heap's claw reaches out.

It almost succeeds in length of reach.

Teddy only watches. Silently encouraging by squeezing his shoulder and a smile thrown the boy's way. It's all he can do.

WHAM!

The toddler throws the door shut. Now panting as he trapped moments before the event. Both need a rest now. Teddy climbs off his parch.

The boy's expression turns terrified. A hint of grown up apology silently acknowledged by the bear. Even as a gift, a bond is certainly established.

A simple of whisper of it's okay solves little. Yet it solves so much. Apologies to a long way to forgiveness.

A while later, both go back to the task of memories.

Teddy is certain the lesson of distraction is learned.
