As they walked into the room Mari could tell that the team that wanted to take them down was surprised to see that they were walking in to the room. Mari was led toward their little corner and Mari sat down next to Ji-yeong and Sae-byeok, she let out a shakey breath and ran her hands through her hair hoping that no one could see her nervousness. She moved her knees to her chest and pillowed her head on her knees, it was slightly uncomfortable but it brought her comfort that she couldn't seek out right now.

As they all waited for the rest of the teams to walk through the door the reality of what Mari did came crashing down, she was trying to blink the tears that were beading in her eyes away so no one would see but Ji-yeong noticed, she always noticed when something is wrong. "What's wrong?" Ji-yeong kept her voice down so only Mari could hear her. "We just killed people." Mari rubbed a hand across her face. "Yes, you've killed someone before Mari." Ji-yeong placed her hand on top of Mari's knee before squeezing it gently. "I know, but that was an accident. It was one person, we killed 10." Before Ji-yeong could speak Sae-byeok said something as she was close enough to hear them. "They deserved it," Sae-byeok said looking at her fingers which were in her lap. "If we go by that logic, we deserve it as well." Mari looked up at Sae-byeok through her lashes, she could still feel herself shaking from the adrenaline that was wearing off.

"Maybe we do," Mari said quietly thankful no one heard because everyone's attention was drawn towards the door opening again and the rest of the teams walked through the door followed by guards. The big door opened and two guards were carrying tables, they set them up wordlessly and gestured for everyone to line up. "You want me to get you something?" Ji-yeong asks as everyone else is getting up but Mari didn't move an inch. "Yes please." Mari gulped as she watched Ji-yeong walk toward the table.

While she was alone her eyes drifted up to the screen in the middle of the room, she saw the number had changed to 40 and that the cash prize was now at 41,600,000,000 won. She exhaled shakily, they had no announcement. Would that happen to her if she died? Would she be reduced to a number like the people that she killed today? She was close to spiraling further when a hand touched her knee, she lifted her head to see Sae-byeok handing her an ear of corn with a slight smile. Mari nodded at her gratefully before she took a bite, she grabbed the water bottle that Ji-yeong offered her and carefully opened it before taking a sip. Mari scooted forward slightly so Ji-yeong can sit behind her while Sae-byeok sat next to her.

Mari couldn't help but roll her eyes as she watched 212 stands in front of them instead of taking a seat like the rest of them. "I seriously thought we were all going to die. But once I laid back, I felt so much stronger. "What is this? This works?" Sir, how did you come up with that?" She asks looking at 001. "When I was young, I just--" Instead of letting him finish she interrupted him making Mari let out a scoff but she stuffed her mouth with corn so she couldn't be blamed. "You copied that from a movie, right? What's that movie? You know, the one that goes like this." 212 moved like the scene that was in the matrix but Mari wasn't going to tell her that, she didn't want to expose herself for being kind of a movie nerd.

Luckily she didn't have to because Ali said it for her. "The Matrix!" He shouted out from where he was sitting on the ground in front of the entrance of the stairs. 212 suddenly looked very smug, she put her hands on her hips and leaned down towards Ali slightly. "So, you slacked off at work and just watched movies in Korea?" She smiled as she straightened herself and looked at Sang-woo who was eating his corn in silence. "And you babe? "Just take three steps forward!" I mean, that was way too cool. How did you come up with that in that situation?" Mari couldn't see Sang-woo's face but she knew he looked bored because that was how Mari felt listening to 212 talk. "You said that was bullshit." Mari had to smother her mouth after Ali spoke to not let the laughter escape but Sae-byeok heard it, she looked towards her with an amused look on her face and a quirk of her brow but Mari brushed her off with a wave of her hand. "Did I? What are you bullshitting about?" 212 asked Ali with a quirk of her brow.

"You were crying "Are you crazy? That's bullshit!" That's what you said." Ali said mocking 212, she screwed her nose up and bent slightly towards him again. "Hey! Which country are you from?" Mari couldn't take it anymore, she had to interrupt before 212 said any more shit. "It doesn't matter where he's from, we all heard you say it." Mari scoffed at 212 as she pointed her half-eaten corn at 212 who turned her nose up at Mari. "Rich of you to say that, you were crying over the fact that we killed people. Get over it." Mari huffed at 212, she breathed out so hard that her nostrils flared.

"Who's the leader here? Cool guy, are you the leader?" 212 changed the subject when she saw that Mari wasn't going to rise to the bait which she was grateful to have the attention off of her as it was on Sang-woo now. "We don't have a leader, we're all equal on this team."

212 made a satisfied sounding noise in her throat before nodding. "Even better."
