I stared at Juliet. This could be my chance. I blushed and took her hand. "Juliet," I said. "I have something to tell you." She looked at me, blushing. I looked her in the eye. "I like you. A lot." She nodded.

"Say something." I prompted. She just looked at me. Then she wrapped her arms around me and kissed me. "I like you too." she said, pulling away. I'm so glad nobody saw that." I said, smiling. Then I heard whoops and cheers. Ryan, Jason, and Isobel stood there, along with their Mecardimals.

"Wha-?" I was so scared. They found out, oh no. I thought. Jason seemed to notice the look on my face, because he mouthed, We won't tell. I smiled and nodded.

I went back to the Hideout. "Hello Van Dine." I greeted him cheerfully. He just stared at me. "What made you all happy?" he asked. I froze. If I told him about Juliet, he would be so mad! I decided to lie instead.

"Knowing that we will crush Jason someday." I lied, nervousness almost entering my confident tone. He nodded and walked away from me. I thought about Juliet. She didn't have to hide us. She was just a regular Earthling.

Dabby came rushing in. "Hey," I said. I didn't think he'd come back! He just pushed past me and left.

I went to Juliet. "Hi!" I said cheerfully. She nodded. "I'll be right back." I said, realizing I forgot something. I ran back to the Hideout and quickly told the Mecardimals about Juliet. "What!!?!" exclaimed Kengshi. "Just don't tell Van Dine." I said. The Mecardimals agreed.

I saw Van Dine walking out. I said hello and went to find Juliet. "Hi!" I greeted. She nodded again and kissed my cheek. I snuggled closer to that touch. I then saw Van Dine looking at me from across the street.

Oh no.

He dragged me back to the Hideout. "Sir I can explain-!" I said and yelped as his stare was on me. "I just love her." I whispered. "I'll let it go," he said through gritted teeth. I smiled. "Thank you!" He just stared and said, "For now."
