Jitters

Barry Allen pulls up to the familiar building. Getting out of his car he checks his watch the time says 11:30 he is thirty minutes early for his scheduled 'date' with the Dr. Caitlin Snow of this earth. Pushing open the doors Barry takes a visible breath preparing himself with the inevitable run in with Iris West.

"Hi welcome to Jitters what can I get you today?" The perky blond barista asks. "I'll have a Carmel Macchiato with an extra shot of expresso and whip cream please" Barry's eyes search for the brown eyed women he once thought of more than a sister.

Barry pays for his drink and heads to a secluded corner. Giving up searching for Iris Barry again checks his watch the time now 11:38.

"Waiting for someone?" Asks the voice Barry is so familiar with that he could pick it out in a crowded room. "Yes I have a...umm I'm not really sure if it's a date per-say but yes I am meeting someone." Iris chuckles "sorry didn't mean to pry. You just looked as if you were searching for someone.

"Here is your coffee. Can I get you anything else?" Iris quickly puts up the manger front. Barry smiles at her as if old highschool acquaintances, "Actually would you mind sending over a pot of your strongest brew at noon?" Barry remembers that both his, or rather his earths Caitlin, and this Caitlin are both fond of black coffee. "Of course. I'll put it on your tab. Allen right?" She looks at Barry quizzically as if searching her brain. "That's correct" Barry's wince goes unnoticed by the chiefs daughter.

______________

Caitlin woke up at seven in the morning incredibly early for having such a late night for two nights in a row. She had tossed all last night not being able to get the hazel eyed man out of her dreams. Last night she dreamt of Ronnie he was in a suit of some kind and he caught on fire, but it was as if he could control the flames that took his life in the waking world. Ronnie flew up into the storm manipulating the fire. Barry dressed as the Flash rushed to save him, but he couldn't. When Barry came back he refused to face Caitlin fearing the blame that he was sure she would hold for him. What surprised and scared Caitlin the most was she felt more pain at his rejection than Ronnie's death.

Being careful to not make to much noise Caitlin jumps in the shower. She shaves, does her makeup, has a cup of coffee and tears through her closet. "Gosh women its eight am! Why are you up?" Cisco stumbles into her room wincing as the sun from her drawn curtains reaches his eyes.

"I couldn't sleep and I thought that I might as well get ready. But I don't know what to wear." She huffs. "Okay sit. Let the master of all things help." Cisco grabs her coffee taking a sip as he searches her closet. "There is nothing in there." Caitlin reaches for her stolen coffee but is handed a red dress instead.

"That's to dressy" she says softly holding it against her staring in the mirror. "Who cares. You want to make a statement? Where that. It will knock him to his knees." Caitlin turns side ways holding up her hair. Its perfect. "My work here is done" Cisco sets the now empty mug on the dresser and heads back to the dark living room.

Looking in the mirror Caitlin takes pride in her appearance the red dress with the low back was a simple yet daring look and with the nude ankle boots looked absolutely beautiful. She put her hair up in a loose bun with a single braid and a strand of her curly hair hanging down. Looking at her golden watch the time says ten o'clock. "Cisco I am heading out." She waves goodbye to her friend reminding him to lock up if he leaves. Deciding to head to Mercury labs to blow off the two hours she has left Caitlin gets in her car.

"Oh shoot!" Caitlin just looked up form the molecule she had been studying, her watch said 11:53. Rushing out of Mercury labs Caitlin heads to Jitters.
