I had arrived in New York to investigate numerous water related incidents and large earthquakes. While looking around I found small tunnels underground. They looked to small to be made by a man. They did look the perfect height for a kid though.

After traveling through numerous tunnels I switched my attention to the water. Right now I am swimming underwater trying to find out what was causing them.

"Man this place needs to clean up a little" I commented, "at least out further is better". Something fast swan past me, I looked around and saw a smaller one swim by.

Once they came into range I called to them, "listen o do not mean you any harm" I said. "Just reveal yourself", the two figures were actually what humans called mermaids. One was taller, had red hair and tail, and wielded a whip. The other was shorter and had purple hair/ tail and was holding and anchor.

"Hello" the taker one said, "my name is Corventina, you probably think I'd be insane but I'm from another dimension" she said. "Believe me I've seen stranger things" I said, "and I'm Dorien" the smaller one said.

"We came here in order to get out of harms way, you see I've recently became queen of my world" she explained.

"However our enemies took over our kingdom, I opened a door way to another world for my people to retreat into but me and my sister went into a different one to avoid getting them caught".

I used telepathy to see if she was telling the truth. Don't judge I did that numerous times, she was indeed telling the truth.

I then promised her that she'd be safe with me if she joined the team. Both her and her little sister agreed. I then escorted them out and we looked around for whatever was causing those earthquakes.

Luckily those two could change their tails into a pair of legs. We looked throughout the tunnels, "anything?" I asked them. Corventina who had been swimming in an underground river reported back negative.

"Sorry but I don't see anything" she said, "yeah me neither" Dorien added. "Head up top and take a break" I said as I moved further in the tunnel.

I then heard crying, I moved closer towards the source to see a young brown haired boy sobbing. "Excuse me but are you okay?" I asked him. He turned to me and cried more, "my mom and dad are gone!!!" He wept.

I hugged him in order to calm him down. Luckily it worked, turns out some species of animals have calming effects on people, I happen to have that ability.

Ability: therapy
Use: allows user to make the nerves of anyone who is in distress. Handy to have if you look after a lot of kids who cry a lot.

He hugged back, "now calm down and tell me what's wrong" I said calmly. He sniffles, "the village I lived in was attacked" he stated. "My parents gave me these two gauntlets then sent me into this portal, but after that did they were... they were" he hurried his face into my chest.

I patted his head, "shhh shh, it's okay it's okay, don't worry" I reassured him. "Behind every loss is a new gain, come with me, I'll keep you safe" I said as we walked out of the tunnels.

He agreed to join the team when I asked him and also wanted me to be his new dad. I already adopted a shadow master and two Arachnes. A elemental kid shouldn't be any trouble.

As I walked out I saw a large portal open and numerous viscous looking biotech monster ran out. "Those are the same monsters that attacked my kingdom" Corventina said readying her whip.

Dorien held her anchor and swung it at them. I told Boulder, that's his name by the way, to stay put. I threw small particles on the ground and when the monsters stepped on them they grew into brambles and tangled them up.

I then blasted them with a beam of ice plasma that froze them. "Take this" Corventina said as she lashes her whip at them.

"Feel the wrath of my HYDRO WHIP MOVE SEVEN, TIDAL WHRIL POOL" she yelled throwing a huge whirl pool at them. Dorien swung her anchor at five of those monster things and managed to tear each of them apart.

One managed to grab me by the arm, Boulder looked and started to shake. Not in fear, but rather in anger, "that, that's the monster that attacked my parents. That very one" he said tearing.

"No I won't let you hurt anyone, you took my family away from me" boulder said glowing yellow and levitated some boulders then threw it at the monster. I saw him glowing brighter, "and I won't allow you to do it again, I WON'T I WON'T I WON'T AAAAAHAHHHHH!!!"  He screamed at the top of his lungs.

After that his glow turned into a flash of light. This caught everyone's attention even those biotech monsters. When the light dissipated in Boulder's place was a gigantic worm like creature with seven eyes.

It roared and charged at the creatures, after destroying a large majority the rest fled carrying the remains of their comrades. The worm creature turned to me and the sisters.

"Boulder?" I asked it, it nodded and licked my face. "Huh looks like those gauntlets did more than you thought" I said petting his head while he reverted back to normal.

"I see you are the master of earth, like how I am the master of water" Corventina said. "Oh these you two are elemental masters?" I asked, "apparently, you see we gain our powers through the four elemental weapons" she explained.

"A blade of flames, a fan of wind, a whip of water and two gauntlets of earth". I thought for moment and realized that flame had a blade of flames and that twist girl also had a fan that controls wind and weather.

"I think I just may know where to find fire and air" I said. Then opened my pocket dimension and the rest of the team walked out. "Okay guys now it's time to finally search for Flame's
Hero team, and we better hurry I heard they've got a robot now" I said.

As if by faith I saw multiple figures behind us. One of which... was on fire.
