CARSON WAKES UP FEELING like her insides are burning from the inside out while someone wipes her forehead.

"Shush, sweetheart" a woman's soothing voice is heard wiping away tears from Carson's cheeks.

"Hold her still, this part is gonna hurt" a male's voice is heard talking to the woman soothing Carson's weak and sweaty figure before feeling like the world around gets set alight.

Carson screams out in absolute agony breathing deeply before collapsing against the material underneath her feeling her forehead being wiped again and something being placed against her torso where the wound is now stitched together.

"She should be okay now, the blood has stopped and now it's just the hope for no infection" a male beside her tells the woman caring for the injured woman who stares blankly around the makeshift cabin.

TWO DAYS LATER Carson groans stirring from her slumber seeing the same man sitting on the side of her bed looking at her injuries and keeping them clean.

Carson freezes making eye contact with the stranger sitting up in a hurry trying to ignore the pain surging down her torso.

"Hey, hey, you're okay—sorry I didn't mean to scare you, my names Hunter" the male—Hunter introduces himself to the panicked brunette.

"Carson" Carson responds clearing her dry throat in which Hunter quickly grabs the clean water from her beside giving it to the woman to drink.

"That woman? Who is she?" Carson questions once she's finished drinking.

"My mother, she and I stitched you up, we were on the way to come and find you when the battle broke out" Hunter mumbles seeing Carson sit up more alarmed.

"My friends—" Carson starts, "Some of them are alive and the others were taken by the mountain men" Hunter explains shocking the brunette.

"Mountain men?" Carson repeats remembering Lincoln mentioning those men before.

"Dangerous people" Hunter confirms standing up trying to stop Carson who's determined to stand.

"Relax, we don't need you ripping your stitches" Hunter states receiving a glare from said woman.

"I need to get out of here, I need to go back to my camp and help my friends" Carson firmly snaps seeing the man shake his head.

"I'll make you a deal, if you eat and can walk to the kitchen area, I'll take you to your friends tonight—they have a camp not that far from here" Hunter suggests seeing the attractive woman light up at the suggestion.

"Deal" Carson mutters getting off the makeshift bed with a groan and following the male towards the kitchen seeing the same woman from days again stirring something in a pot and adding carrots into the mixture.

"Oh fantastic! She's awake" the woman blooms walking towards Carson who looks at Hunter confused.

"I'm Lydia" said woman introduces herself placing a bowl of the food on the table motioning for the brunette to sit down and eat.

Carson frowns looking around before relaxing seeing Hunter and a little girl digging into their meals.

Carson takes a seat at the table looking around her surroundings watching for danger, "Why are you helping me?" Carson asks breaking the silence.

"Let's just say dear—we don't agree with Heda and some of the other's decisions, Heda wants you alive but Hunter said when he got to your camp—you were being attacked and were brutally stabbed in the stomach" Lydia voices.

"Why would this 'Heda' person want me alive?" Carson questions, "Your blood" the little girl speaks for the first time smiling up at Carson.

"My blood?" Carson wonders with a frown looking at both Lydia and Hunter.

Hunter finishes his meal and stands up stalking towards Carson and sitting beside her grabbing a dagger from his pocket and cutting his palm showing her the same blood.

Carson gasps in shock seeing the same coloured blood as her, "Your blood is black—like mine" Carson mumbles in confusion.

"Lincoln was correct when he said your blood makes you special, Heda wants you alive because you're a threat—but you're also a replica of someone she use to love" Fawn—the little girl explains firmly finishing her meal and looking at her mother who nods gesturing for the coloured pencils on the side of the table with permission.

"You know Lincoln? Is he okay?" Carson questions looking at Hunter again.

"He's alive" Hunter confirms with a firm nod before looking at his mother.

"Alright, well—we should get Shadow ready for your departure" Hunter suggests seeing Lydia look downwards at the mention of Carson leaving the camp.

"You're leaving?" Fawn pouts from the side of the table, "My friends are out there, I have to find them" Carson responds sadly seeing the look of sadness in the little girls eyes.

"She is more than welcome to come back, as long as she doesn't get hurt in the process" Lydia explains handing Carson a map of where to find their camp.

"I will, I'll come back, thank you again for saving my life" Carson smiles seeing Lydia nod and motion for Hunter to get the horse ready.

"I'll make up something for the road, you—however need to rest as much as possible, your wound won't heal for a while due to the trauma the katana impacted on it" Lydia explains handing a special cream to the brunette who looks up at the woman softly.

"Thank you again, Lydia" Carson voices looking at the little blonde girl already staring at her.

"Come on buttercup, I'll draw with you until Hunter comes back for me" Carson suggests seeing Fawn light up at the thought of Carson drawing with her.

"Yay!" Fawn exclaims handing some pencils and crayons to the brunette who happily takes them for Fawn's little hands.

"So Fawn, how old are you?" Carson wonders, "Eight! Nearly nine" Fawn beams colouring the picture on her paper before looking up at the Carson.

"What about you?" Fawn asks curiously, "I'm nineteen, my birthday was yesterday, I think" Carson explains with a frown.

"Well, I'm sorry you couldn't celebrate, I was so worried you were gonna die when my big brother brought you into the cabin a few days ago—I'm glad you didn't though, you're gonna be my best friend" Fawn smiles cheekily hearing Carson laugh and nod.

"Bestest friend ever" Carson confirms while Lydia places a basket beside her containing her cream for her wound and some bandages alongside some water for the trip hearing Hunter announce himself at the door.

"Shadow—the horse is ready, are you ready?" Hunter questions, "Ready" Carson confirms handing Fawn her piece of paper.

Fawn giggles looking at the two figures on the page and gently wrapping her arms around Carson's legs saying goodbye, "Please come back" Fawn mumbles quietly seeing Carson nod.

"I will, I promise—and I don't break promises" Carson confirms holding out her pinky in which the little girl does immediately returning the gesture beaming up at the brunette when she kisses the tip of her own finger as a promise.

"I'll see you soon buttercup" Carson suggests following Hunter out of the cabin towards the beautiful horses.

Hunter turns around hearing a gasp thinking Carson's hurt but seeing her looking at the horses in pure amazement.

"They're beautiful" Carson whispers looking an ashy white horse with the material ready for them over it's back.

"This is Shadow?" Carson asks motioning to the horse, "Fawn named him when she was younger" Hunter confirms gently picking Carson up so she doesn't stretch out her wound and places her on the horse before getting up himself.

"You might want to hold on, Shadow's pretty fast" Hunter suggests seeing Carson look at him with a smirk.

"Or do you want me just to hold onto you, my hero?" Carson asks seeing Hunter roll his eyes and tap Shadow into moving—well more like running.

A screech is heard and arms tightly wrap around his waist Hunter smirks satisfied looking back at Carson burying her head in his back before looking around the surroundings seeing greenery and waterfalls surrounding them.

Carson sighs thinking back to Bellamy and bites her lip feeling tears forming in her eyes at the thought of the male she has feelings for being dead, "You okay back there?" Hunter questions.

Carson clears her throat and mumbles a yeah before moving closer to the male not wanting to fall off the fast horse.

AFTER A WHILE OF GALLOPING on Shadow's backside Carson looks up hearing shouts in the distance.

"Woah, go that way" Carson suggests, "Towards the shouting?" Hunter frowns seeing Carson nod.

"This feels similar to me, like I've been in this part of the woods before" Carson explains.

"Okay" Hunter nods and turns the horse towards the shouting that's growing louder before seeing a clearing up ahead.

"I'll have to drop you off here, they have guns—" Hunter states stopping Shadow and getting off the horse placing the basket from his mother on the ground before gently placing his hands on Carson's waist and placing her on the ground.

"Tell your mother and sister I'm forever thankful, and as well—thank you for saving my life" Carson mumbles staring at the handsome male.

"Of course" Hunter smiles feeling arms wrap around his waist again this time in a tighter motion than on the horse.

"I hope to see you soon" Carson voices, "Me too, look after yourself" Hunter states getting back on his horse and setting off back towards the cabin.

Carson sighs breathing out deeply holding onto the basket and the wound on her torso seeing the camp up ahead.

"The Ark?" Carson gasps questioning to herself walking into the clearing hearing shouts before a pair of arms grabs onto her roughly.

"Who are you and what to do you want with us?" The man snarls, "I'm—I'm Carson Daniels, I'm from the Ark" Carson gasps in pain feeling the arms stretching out of her wound.

"She's telling the truth!" An all too familiar voice calls out from inside the camp.

Carson gasps hearing her cousins voice before the gates open and a pair of arms wrap around her tightly, "Oh thank god!" Raven sobs hugging Carson's injured figure.

"Rav! Oh my god" Carson whimpers hugging her cousin back before both of them walk towards the medical bay seeing Abby looking at them.

"You're suppose to be resting Raven, hello Carson" Abby states before smiling at the brunette, "I know, sorry, I heard the commotion and Carson's voice, I couldn't help myself" Raven explains.

"Just be careful, the surgery might've worked but you're still at risk of losing your leg" Abby mumbles looking at Carson pressing her hand into the wound.

"Oh god, you're injured! Come on, sit" Abby demands seating Carson on one of the gurneys lifting up her top seeing the wound has been stitched and on the road to healing.

"I'm okay, the guards just held me roughly" Carson explains seeing Abby nod and Raven grabbing her hand gently, "Is Bellamy alive? Fin?" Carson questions.

"They're both alive, they're out searching for you and Clarke, Bellamy hasn't stopped looking for you" Raven states smiling at the blush on Carson's cheeks.

"And Finn?" Carson wonders, "We broke up, he loves Clarke and someone else, he hasn't stopped looking for Clarke and you either" Raven explains seeing Carson nod tiredly.

"Here rest" Raven suggests motioning to the bed and Carson sighs in relief falling into a slumber with Raven sitting beside her.

BELLAMY LEADS THE OTHERS towards the grounders camp Murphy mentioned holding onto the gun, "Everybody down! Now!" Murphy demands in a whisper shout pulling Bellamy down.

"This is it, told you I'd find it" Murphy smugly states looking at Bellamy who scoffs aiming his gun and looking around the village of grounders.

"I see nothing but grounders" Bellamy voices while Finn takes Murphy's gun and looks around the camp himself, "Our people aren't here" Bellamy states.

Finn frowns noticing something in the distance and looks through the gun again.

"Wait a minute, they've got stuff from our drop-ship" Finn states firmly noticing the red seatbelts from the ship.

"Maybe they know where our friends are" Bellamy voices looking at the village again.

"Yeah or maybe they killed them already" Murphy mutters.

Finn looks around the village with the gun still frowning noticing something familiar.

"Son of a bitch" Finn snarls darkly, "What is it?" Bellamy asks sensing the anger from the male.

"The guy with the one eye—around his neck" Finn states while Bellamy frowns confused looking at a grounder with a watch around his neck.

"What am I looking at?" Bellamy wonders before sucking in a breath seeing something beside the one eyed grounder.

"He's got Clarke's watch, it was her father's and Carson's jacket is beside him" Finn explains.

"She wouldn't give that up without a fight, neither would Carson" Bellamy states swallowing at the woman's name on his tongue.

"Neither will we" Finn states firmly while Bellamy watches the grounder walk more into the village.

"Okay, you're with me" Bellamy states looking at Finn who nods.

"You two stay here, this thing goes south take out the other grounders but don't shoot the grounder with the watch, copy?" Bellamy questions.

"Copy" Sterling confirms with a nod looking at Monroe beside him, "Copy, and what about Murphy?" Monroe interrogates.

"Yeah do I get a gun now?" Murphy asks, "Something like that" Bellamy smirks grabbing Murphy roughly and making him be the bait.

Behind a tree, Murphy is baiting the grounder with the watch, which leads the Grounder approaching the tree and is knocked out by Bellamy while Finn retrieves the watch from around said grounders neck and snatching Carson's green jacket from the grounders back.

"We need to take him somewhere quiet" Bellamy suggests motioning to the grounder.

"I know just the place" Finn states leading the others towards the bunker he shared with Clarke before everything went to chaos.

CARSON GASPS AWAKE SITTING up in the cot seeing Raven already looking at her, "I'm okay, just a nightmare" Carson explains with a sigh.

"You still get them?" Raven wonders seeing Carson nod and look up at her, "When I slept with Bellamy—he stopped them" Carson explains seeing Raven look down guiltily.

"I'm sorry for sleeping with him Carsy" Raven mumbles, "Oh I moved on from that the moment I watched him get shot at in the battle" Carson states biting her lower lip.

"Do you love him?" Raven questions, "I think so" Carson states with a smile seeing Raven's face light up at the thought of her cousin finding happiness.

"Oh speaking of feelings, someone's been waiting to see you" Raven says whistling and rustling is heard from outside the medical tent seeing Kyle walking in lighting up seeing Carson awake.

"Kyle" Carson smiles wrapping her arms around the males torso tightly, "Hey Carson" Kyle chuckles hugging the brunette and smiling at Raven.

"I'm so glad you're alive" Carson states seeing Kyle soften, "You are?" Kyle wonders.

"I forgave you the moment I was arrested, I forgave you a while ago" Carson states seeing Kyle light up at the forgiveness.

"I missed you" Kyle states hugging the brunette once again before excusing himself and going back to working around the camp.

"I'm so proud of you Carsy" Raven speaks walking into the medical once again giving the ex couple their moment.

"Thanks Rav" Carson smiles getting off the gurney and standing at the entrance wanting some fresh air seeing Marcus Kane looking over at her.

Carson sighs walking towards the man and standing beside him, "Glad to see you're alive, Carson" Marcus mumbles firmly.

"Are you? The last time we spoke you told me something I never expected to hear from you" Carson squints folding her arms over her chest.

"I told you that because you deserved the truth, your mother never told you" Kane voices looking at the brunette.

"Don't blame her to be honest, you were never around and now finding out years and years later that you're my father and the man who raised me isn't and wasn't aware of the affair between his best friend and wife, I don't blame her for not telling me, dad" Carson shrugs walking off towards Raven and Wick seeing them standing together.

"You okay?" Wick questions knowing the truth of Marcus Kane being Carson Daniels real father, "Fine" Carson smiles looking at Raven who chuckles placing a hand on her shoulder.

IN THE BUNKER BELLAMY, Finn, Murphy, Sterling and Monroe are interrogating the grounder.

"We're gonna do this again and this time you're gonna stop screwing with us, where did you find those things? Especially the jacket?" Bellamy questions.

"I told you, I found both items outside your camp" the grounder explains, "He's lying! They would never take it off voluntarily" Finn seethes in anger.

"I know" Bellamy says, "Where are the girls who were wearing this watch and jacket?" Finn screams.

"I never saw a girl—yet again two" the grounder states, "Another lie, maybe you should stop asking him nicely" Murphy voices with a shrug.

"Shut up Murphy, where are our friends? You took them we know you did just tell us where?" Bellamy questions.

"Murphy's right, we're wasting time" Finn snaps striking the grounder in the head with the gun, "Answer the question!" Finn screams.

"Hey! Hey!" Bellamy voices trying to calm the male down, "Where are the girls who were wearing this watch and jacket?" Finn screams in anger again.

"Finn, stop, we don't want to do this trust me, there are some lines you can't uncross" Bellamy states while Finn begins to beat the grounder screaming at him to answer where both Carson and Clarke are.

"Finn" Bellamy exclaims in anger and shock when Finn aims the gun at him, "Put down the gun Finn" Bellamy states calmly.

Finn re-aims the gun at the grounder's head, "Three seconds! Two! One!" Finn screams ready to pull the trigger while the others look at the male in pure shock.

"Okay! Okay! I'll tell you, your friends are east of here the village where we take our prisoners of war" the grounder states.

"East, where? How do we get to them?" Finn seethes still aiming at the gun at the grounders head.

"I can draw you a map—you should hurry, soon they'll outlive their usefulness" the grounder mutters.

"Get him something to draw a map" Finn demands watching Monroe hand the grounder a piece of paper while Bellamy looks at Finn stunned at his actions.

"You thought I was the crazy one, huh?" Murphy smirks.

"You are! You hurt Carson and she's never going to forgive you" Bellamy snarls seeing the hurt rush through Murphy's face before the smirk comes back.

"If she's alive" Murphy shrugs walking to the other side of the bunker and sitting down seeing Finn and Bellamy looking at him worried about Carson.

─────────────────

CARSON LOOKS AROUND IN SHOCK seeing Abby being led into the medical area beside Jackson.

"Oh my god! What can I do to help?" Carson questions getting up from the gurney and allowing Abby to sit down on said gurney.

"Get me some bandages" Jackson suggests seeing Carson nod immediately and grab some clean bandages and rush back.

Mindful of her own wound handing them to Jackson who smiles gratefully at the brunette before starting to treat Abby's wounds.

Marcus walks into the tent looking at the woman and his daughter before looking at Jackson.

"Thank you, Jackson, Carson" Abby states gesturing for them to leave.

Carson nods walking out of the medical tent avoiding eye contact with her father.

⋆𐙚₊˚⊹

AFTER A WHILE BELLAMY observes the map drawn by the grounder, "Gather up the gear, we're leaving" Bellamy demands.

"What about him?" Sterling asks motioning to the grounder in the corner, "For now, we leave him, deal with him when we're done" Bellamy states.

"And what if he escapes? He knows exactly where we're going" Murphy voices, "We're not killing him!" Bellamy tiredly snaps.

"I don't really see another option, if we don't care of this now it'll blow back on us and you know that" Murphy voices.

"He's unarmed, Murphy" Bellamy comments, "He's a grounder, really come on tell him!" Murphy suggests looking at Monroe and Sterling.

"I don't know" Monroe shrugs, "You don't know what? He's gonna tell his people everything, we're as good as dead, our friends too—he already killed Carson and probably killed Clarke too" Murphy mutters looking at Bellamy.

"We're not doing this, end of discussion, you want him you go through me" Bellamy utters, "What exactly happened to you, you're acting like you've never killed a grounder before" Murphy verbalises.

"That was in battle, this would be an execution—" Bellamy voices being interrupted by a gunshot behind them and the grounder falls dead to the ground with a bullet wound in his head.

Bellamy looks shocked seeing smoke coming from the gun in Finn's hand which was just fired.

"Let's get moving" Finn announces not speaking about the fact he just killed someone without having second thoughts.
