CARSON STANDS BESIDE RAVEN listening to Chancellor Jaha's unity day speech.

"My friends... this is a historic Unity Day. Every year, we mark the moment our ancestors of the twelve stations joined to form the Ark. but this is the last time we do so while aboard her. Next year... on the ground." Jaha voices over the radio system.

"Right. After we did all the work. Someone shut him up." Miller scoffs annoyed with the man.

"You shut up... Miller. No one's forcing you to watch." Raven snaps.

"What she said." Carson voices folding her arms across her chest.

"For ninety-seven years... we have eked out an existence, hoping that someday our descendants would return to Earth." Jaha continues rambling through the radio.

"I'll be back later. Gotta freshen up these bandages again." Carson explains feeling the dirty bandages on her arm.

Muttering a thank you to herself because her wounded thigh from the jaguar has healed over and is now just itchy.

Carson frowns hearing the radio cut out and mumbles surrounding camp due to the sudden cutoff with screams.

"What's happening?" Carson questions looking at Raven who shrugs also unsure seeing that their side of the radio is working and the interference is from the Ark this time.

Seeing Bellamy leaning against the gate to the camp Carson chuckles walking towards him.

"Hey." Carson voices standing beside the male who smiles biting into his apple.

"Hey. The comms are still dead. They cut out during the pageant." Clarke explains standing beside the two of them.

"Best Unity Day ever." Bellamy scoffs with a huff.

"Do you really think now is a good time to be having a party? I mean... the Grounder's out there." Clarke mutters.

"Grounders. By now... he's made it home. He's probably putting together a lynch mob. Relax... Cars and I have got security covered. Why don't you go get a drink? You look like you could use one." Bellamy suggests not noticing Carson suck in a deep breath when the grounder is mentioned.

"I could use more than one." Clarke huffs, "Then have more than one, Clarke. The Exodus ship carrying your mother comes down here in two days. After that... the party's over. Have some fun while you still can. You deserve it." Bellamy states.

"Yeah. Okay. Do do you by the way. You as well Carsy." Clarke voices looking at both of them once again.

"I'll have my fun when the Grounders come." Bellamy states firmly.

Carson just groans and huffs out her chest, "I'll have my fun when the Grounders come." Carson mocks Bellamy with a smirk seeing the male smiling at her being sassy with him.

"All right." Clarke nods feeling the tension between the two of them from where she's standing before walking towards the campfire.

"Unity Day." Bellamy scoffs biting into his apple again before looking beside him at Carson who sips on her water.

"You know you're all hot and mighty being the dominant leader. But I bet I could beat you in a fight or sex... who knows." Carson shrugs smirking at the sexually frustrated male.

"You think you could bet me in a fight? Sex. You probably could. I will admit." Bellamy chuckles knowing he'd fall at her feet if he saw her in that vulnerable position.

"I do. Yes." Carson nods with a smile winking at Bellamy who groans.

"Fine. You and me tomorrow morning before training starts." Bellamy suggests.

"You're on. But which part?" Carson taunts seeing the small smirk on said males face.

"The fighting part. But maybe the other part too... if you behave." Bellamy winks shocking the brunette who nods in approval.

Before walking away towards her tent seeing the campers getting drunk around them from Monty's moonshine.

Octavia walks up to Carson seeing the brunette nodding at her and handing her a makeshift weapon incase.

"Please be safe. Tell Lincoln I say hello." Carson pleads seeing Octavia nodding at before sneaking out of the camp unaware that Finn's following her.

──────

CARSON RESTS IN HER and Bellamy's tent hearing the flap over seeing Finn motioning for her to follow him.

"Finn? What's up?" Carson frowns seeing Clarke standing near her as well confused.

"I set up a meeting with the Grounders." Finn states shocking both of the leaders, "A meeting? I don't understand. With who? How?" Clarke questions.

"I was just with the Grounder that we had in the drop-ship. His name is Lincoln. Oh and by the way... he says hello." Finn explains facing Carson and nods in approval.

"Wait a second... he spoke to you? And oh my god. You were the one who helped him escape." Clarke gasps looking from Finn to Carson in shock.

"It's not important." Finn states with a shake of the head, "If we want to live in peace Finn. We can't live in peace with people who've done nothing but kill us." Clarke snaps.

"Can you think of a better way to stop the bloodshed?" Finn suggests wanting an answer.

"Yeah. With the guns that the guard brings down." Clarke nods.

"You really want a war? Because at this rate... that's what's coming. Look, I know it's a long shot... but this is our world now and I think we can do better than the first time around. I trust him and so does Carson." Finn explains seeing Carson agreeing with him.

"I do trust him. He can tell me a lot more about me having different blood." Carson voices.

"I don't. But if we go... we have to bring backup." Clarke mutters.

"No way. We're not bringing guns. Those weren't the terms and if we're gonna do this. We got to give it a fair shot." Finn states.

"I agree with him. No guns." Carson snarls.

"Okay. Okay. I'll... I'll get my pack. And I'll meet you both at the gate." Clarke says.

"Okay." Carson and Finn both say before walking towards the gate to wait for Clarke.

Once Clarke meets up with Finn and Carson they set off into the woods going to the place Lincoln organised the meet.

"I'd love it if you were right about this. But did you ever consider it might be a trap?" Clarke wonders.

"Yep. But since it's Unity Day... I decided to have hope instead." Finn states before holding his torso with a wince.

"Oh! Hey. Let me have a look at that." Clarke pleads looking at Finn's stab wound sighing at the redness.

"Seriously... Finn. You're putting a lot of faith in a guy who stuck a knife in you." Clarke states.

"He did save me and told me I was special so. I trust him." Carson admits looking at Finn with a smile which he returns hearing someone he loves trusting him with this.

"And you're sounding more and more like Bellamy." Finn adds looking at Clarke, "I'm just trying to keep us alive." Clarke shrugs.

"So am I. At least they're good for something." Finn mutters continuing the walk to the meeting spot.

Carson, Clarke and Finn arrive at the meeting place seeing Lincoln running at them with a smile.

Carson smiles hugging the male, "Glad to see you're still alive Linc!" Carson chuckles.

"You too Sonny." Lincoln responds using the nickname they've been calling each other since the secret meet ups.

"So that's how you set this up. You actually helped him escape... didn't you?" Clarke asks again looking at Carson and Octavia stunned.

"We trust him... Clarke. I trust him." Octavia comments.

"There's a lot of that going around." Clarke mutters under her breath hearing hoofs on the ground over the other side of the bridge.

"Wait. Look. Oh, my god... horses!" Clarke gasps seeing the figures and animals coming towards them.

"Hey! We said no weapons." Finn voices noticing the weapons the grounders have.

"I was told there wouldn't be." Lincoln explains, "It's too late now." Clarke states going to walk closer to the grounder.

"They go alone." Lincoln explains motioning to Carson and Clarke who exhale before continuing walking towards the horses.

"Your name is Clarke and Carson? Which one of you has the black blood?" the female grounder questions.

"Yes. And she does." Clarke answers gesturing towards Carson who's standing beside her, "I'm Anya." Anya states.

"I think we got off to a rough start. But we want to find a way to live together in peace." Clarke voices.

"I understand. You started a war that you don't know how to end." Anya comments.

"What? No. We didn't start anything. You attacked us for no reason." Clarke states confused.

"No reason? The missiles you launched burned a village to the ground." Anya spits.

"The flares? No. That was a signal meant for our families. We had no idea..." Carson voices.

"You're invaders. Your ship landed in our territory." Anya snaps in annoyance.

"We didn't know anyone was here. We thought the ground was uninhabited." Carson explains.

"You knew we were here when you sent an armed raiding party to capture one of us and torture him. These are all acts of war." Anya mutters.

"Okay. To be fair I didn't know that was going to happen. And Lincoln saved mine and Octavia's life. So please don't include me in that torture talk." Carson snaps in annoyance.

"I see your point. That's why we need to put an end to all of this." Clarke suggests looking at the woman who's staring at Carson.

"Why are you staring at me like that?" Carson questions uncomfortable with the woman's stare.

"Lincoln didn't lie when he said your blood makes you special. We should take you to meet Heda." Anya states confusing the brunette and blonde.

"Um. No. Thank you." Carson denies, "Lincoln said there are more of you coming down. Warriors." Anya wonders.

"The guard... yes. But also farmers, doctors, engineers. We can help each other but not if we're at war." Carson explains looking at Clarke who nods agreeing with her.

"Can you promise that these new arrivals won't attack us. That they'll respect the terms you, Carson and I agree on?" Anya questions.

"I promise I will do everything I can to convince them to honor the terms that we set alongside Carson." Clarke confirms firmly.

"Why would I agree to an alliance that your people can break the moment they get here?" Anya snaps.

Below the bridge, Bellamy, Raven and Jasper watch the meeting take place with guns like Clarke suggested.

"Grounder Princess looks pissed." Raven states.

"Our queenie and princess have that effect." Bellamy shrugs knowing that's quite a lie about Carson's part because anyone around her adores her.

Carson rolls her eyes annoyed seeing this meeting going absolutely nowhere.

"If you fire the first shot. Those people coming down won't bother negotiating. Our technology...they will wipe you out." Carson snaps.

"They wouldn't be the first to try." Anya snarls secretly loving the brunette leadership skills and sassiness.

After a long while of staring at one another Carson flinches hearing a shouting voice from below them.

"Carson! Finn, get back! Go, go!" Jasper shrieks seeing the grounders in the trees as backup.

Said grounders begin firing arrows at Clarke and Carson, gunfire is heard shooting some of the grounders in the trees.

Carson grunts feeling a hand wrap around her throat and waist putting a knife to her cheek and slicing it downwards.

"Get off me! You psychotic bitch!" Carson shouts elbowing Anya in the face before hearing said woman grunt from a bullet hitting her in the shoulder.

Carson turns around seeing Bellamy and the others below them firing the guns.

Carson nods with a thankful gesture, "Carson! Clarke!" Finn shouts running towards them and helping them off the ground.

Carson gasps standing beside Octavia protectively not noticing the arrow aimed at the two of them until Lincoln grunts getting hit by one of the arrows.

"Oh my god! Lincoln! You've been hit!" Octavia shouts alarmed.

"It's just a scratch." Lincoln grunts breaking the arrow from his shoulder.

"Okay. Run! Don't stop till you get behind your walls... go! Take her! Carson you be safe and make sure to stitch up that cut on your cheek!" Lincoln states seeing Carson nod at him and pull Octavia back towards the entrance they came.

"Lincoln! No!" Octavia begs, "Go." Lincoln states firmly before rushing off the other way.

"Come on... Tavia. We'll see him again." Carson states seeing Octavia nod and quickly run in the direction of the camp away from the possible attack from the grounders.

Carson waits for Finn noticing him lagging behind from looking at Lincoln with a sorry look.

Noticing Bellamy doing the same waiting for them to run in front of him so he can be in the back with the gun.

Carson, Clarke, Finn, Octavia, Bellamy, Jasper and Raven sprint back to camp stopping outside the walls.

"You got anything to say?" Bellamy questions noticing the glares Finn and Carson are sending him along with Octavia as they all pant due to the running.

"Yeah. Carson and I told you no guns!" Finn exclaims pissed, "I told you we couldn't trust the Grounders. I was right." Clarke snaps.

"Why didn't you tell me what you were up to. Both of you?" Raven questions looking at her boyfriend and cousin.

"I tried! But you were too busy making bullets for your guns." Finn shouts.

Carson stands beside Octavia feeling overwhelmed and wiping some of the blood from the cut on her cheek.

"You're lucky she brought that! They came there to kill you both!" Bellamy shouts looking at Finn then Carson who scoffs with an eye roll.

"You don't know that! Jasper fired the first shot!" Finn yells.

"You ruined everything." Octavia mumbles tapping Carson's arm before running back into the camp alone.

"I saved you! You're welcome." Jasper snaps in a shout.

"Well... if we weren't at war already. We sure as hell are now. You didn't have to trust the grounders. You just had to trust me." Finn states hurt.

Before walking into the walls of the camp behind Jasper and Raven follows behind him leaving Carson, Bellamy and Clarke outside the walls.

"Like I said... best Unity Day ever." Bellamy scoffs just as an explosion sounds through the air.

Carson gasps realising it's the exodus ship from the Ark, "The Exodus ship? Your mom's early." Bellamy states.

Clarke laughs softly before looking at Carson who smiles thinking about forming a friendship with her ex boyfriend Kyle Wick.

"Wait. Too fast... no parachute? Something's wrong." Clarke explains.

The Exodus ship impacts heavily with the ground, creating a mushroom cloud.

Clarke gasps and falls to her knees sobbing thinking about her last conversation with her mother.

Carson sniffles before sprinting back into the camp clearly upset with the thought of not gaining a friendship with her ex boyfriend ever again.

Bellamy immediately follows after Carson's sprinting figure into their shared tent seeing her fall to her knees hugging the jacket on her clothed body with heartbreak clearly heard in her sobs.

"Carsie?" Bellamy whispers not expecting Carson to turn around wrap her around his torso sobbing into his chest.

"He thought I hated him." Carson sobs confusing Bellamy on who he might be.

"Sh. Let's get your cut stitched up and get you to bed. We're gonna go out to the sight tomorrow." Bellamy explains grabbing some of the stitching material and a washcloth cleaning the wound and eventually stitching it which makes Carson bite her lip sadly.

"He... he was my ex boyfriend... by the way. Not anyone like my father or anything. My parents are dead." Carson explains.

"Kyle Wick?" Bellamy wonders hearing Carson inhale deeply at the mention of his name.

"That's the one." Carson nods before taking off her jacket and pants and climbing into the bed expecting Bellamy to leave the tent but he decides to take off his shirt and pants and climbs into the makeshift bed the two have shared for a while now.

"Get some rest... Angel." Bellamy suggests allowing Carson to snuggle into his chest.

"Thanks... handsome." Carson whispers before settling off to sleep knowing tomorrow is going to be full of pain.
