The past

just incidentally, IK that's not them. They're bases I already had of princesses to demonstrate their outfits.

Neteyam undergoes his first surgery. Jake takes Neytiri, Kiri, Tuk & Lo'ak to see his childhood home. Hayley is waiting when the mysterious Pandorian wakes up: they have an interesting first meeting.

Lo'ak was having a pleasant dream of his and Tsireya's future when he was rudely awoken by a rush of cold water. He sat up, gasping. "What the fuck?!" He screeched, flicking water out of his eyes. Kiri cackled loudly from the bottom of the bed, holding a bucket. He fought back the shivering as he glared. "Really? You wanna wake up and die before breakfast?" She continued laughing loudly. "I hate you. I actually hate you." He got out of bed and went to swing his tail but spun in a circle when the lack thereof did anything. Instead he settled for a kick to her shin.

"That hurt, penis-face," She groaned, rubbing it. He pulled on a shirt, shrugging. "Not my problem, you shouldn't have chosen death," Kiri rolled her eyes. "Whatever. Dad wants us. Apparently, we're going for a drive, whatever the hell that means," She leaned against the doorframe. "So move,"

He waited until she left, complaining about her sore shin loudly, before swapping his PJ bottoms for a pair of jeans, his dad called them. He hated it. Having this much clothing restrict his movements felt odd and it bothered him. "Why can't I wear what the girls are wearing?" He complained loudly in the kitchen. "Because it's a dress, and only girls wear dresses. Unless you wanna be bullied?" His dad answered. His mom, unlike Kiri's long dress, wore a shorter one, finishing just below her knees. "I do not like it, but it's not too different to the loincloth back home." She frowned. "It's too bright, too.... whatever this colour is,"

"Purple," His dad slid in helpfully. His mom groaned. "It's gross," His dad laughed while Kiri spun in a circle. "I like mine. This is blue, isn't it?" She asked. Lo'ak rolled his eyes. "Of course you researched this place," Kiri stuck her tongue out. "Lo'ak leave your sister alone," He paused. "And why is your hair wet?" Lo'ak shot a glare over the table. "Ask your darling daughter,"

His dad shook his head with a sigh. "I don't wanna know. And it's teal, but close Kiri. Tuk's is pink,"

After breakfast, of which they were served pancakes, something Lo'ak actually liked, they bundled into a car, his dad called it. "Now, you're all gonna have to bear with me. I haven't driven a car since I was around 24." Tuk gasped loudly from the backseat. "That's agggeess ago!" She giggled. "Keep going and I'll leave you at home next time!" Jake grumbled. "Put your belts on guys,"

What?

"Those things to your sides? Pull them across your body and press them into that red thing until it clicks. That's it," Jake explained. "They stop us from being hurt if we crash," He further explained. The drive was as tense as it was long. It was obvious Lo'ak's mom didn't like being on Earth, and she made no effort to hide it. His dad put something called the radio on and it played some music. "Oh, I think this is what Hayley was listening to the other day," Kiri said. "Who is Hayley?" His mom asked, craning her neck. "Just some girl we met. Apparently she's sharing a room with 'Teyam," Kiri smiled as she looked out the window. "Is she nice?" Jake asked. At the lack of Kiri's answer, Lo'ak spoke. "Seems to be. Sarcastic as hell," He grinned. Jake rolled his eyes. "Oh god. Poor 'Teyam's not gonna be resting at all with her then,"

After a few more songs played, three of which his mom complained about, they pulled up to an old building. "This kids," Jake stopped the car. "Is where I grew up,"

It wasn't much, but it held many great memories. To his surprise, his home was still very intact. It would seem it was bought quickly after Tommy's death.

"You back with us space cadet?" Neteyam groaned as he opened his eyes. He smacked his lips together. He felt strange. Dry. "That'll be the anaesthetic. There's some water on the table." Lacking the energy to match the voice to a face, he reached for the water. Upon taking a sip, he realised how thirsty he truly was. "I'd go steady on that there water. It'll come straight back up if you drink too much," Somewhat annoyed by the voice, he turned his head to glare. In the bed to his right sat a girl with brown hair. She was flipping through a book humming. "Hayley, right?" He croaked. She hummed. "How're you feeling? That was the first big one," He frowned. "Big what?" Hayley blinked. "Surgery. You just had the first of two spinal surgeries,"

Oh.

"They'll make you wait a week, and you'll be back in for the final one some point next week, or early the following week," Hayley explained. But they were supposed to be on Earth for two years? Why were they rushing the surgeries? "Because you need to fully heal and do PT." Had he asked that out loud? "Yes you did," Oh. "I'm assuming you're a Sully then?" Neteyam's eyes widened. "How do you know that?" He whispered. Hayley shook her head with a smile. "Don't worry. My mom was the one who authorised this. I know all about it. Including Pandora. And the whole Jake Sully V Miles Quaritch fiasco." She flicked another page in her book as Neteyam stared incredulously. "But they need you surgerie-d and healed within 6 months to do at least a year of PT. Otherwise your body'll crack in cryo."

It was then Neteyam frowned. "Why are they healing this body though? It was my real form that was injured," Hayley nodded to his hands. "Might wanna take a look at them hands then," He glanced down. "Unless I'm colour blind, you're blue." True: his four fingered blue hand stared back. "I'm so confused," Hayley snorted. "You think they can do something as technologically advanced as the Pandora program without inventing some other shit along the way?" He frowned deeper. "Now, I dunno what it is, but somehow they've got an almost illusion on the facility to see you as your human form only. Only the doctors and surgeons specifically on your case and myself can see your na'vi form."

Neteyam shook his head. "I'm so glad my home is simple and easy to understand." He scoffed. Hayley laughed loudly.
