When we were almost outside, this annoying blonde girl put herself in our way: "Where are you going?" Jessy, walking first, tried to avoid her but she was extremely stubborn. The girl grabbed Tim's arm. "Why won't you tell me, love?" she said and Tim was already preparing to flirt back when Emily joined their conversation. She pushed her away. "Goodbye" Emily said, grabbed Tim by the arm and walked by.

I followed Nate and Lewis whilst talking to Jessy. She explained some things to me but I actually wasn't really listening. I was more in thoughts of what had just happened.

They went to a few benches next to some paddocks so we were far away from anyone else. "Tim, will you quickly come home with me?" Emily asked. Before Tim agreed, he threw a look in my direction to see if I was okay with it, and I nodded. It was so nice that he had thought about me but I would've never said no. His friends were really cool people, even Lewis when he didn't try to hit on me.

I didn't know what their plan was so I took a seat. The bench was cold but I tried to dissemble it. Jessy came close to me: "So what's that thing between Tim and you?" Abby moved closer, too. It seemed like I wasn't the only one who had asked itself this question. "Well, actually I don't know because he has Emily..?" I said and it was more like a question because I wasn't sure about their relationship at all. What was going on between them? "So, listen" Jessy started, "we don't have much time. Tim and Emily have been best friends forever. They once had a fling..." I interrupted her: "What?! Tim told me he hadn't had a girlfriend since sixth grade?!" Abby looked at me. "Hold on, wait. I don't think they were officially together." Now I was totally confused. "Hey, let me continue" Jessy said. " I feel like Emily is jealous of any girl liking Tim or the other way. Us she likes because she knows there's absolutely nothing between us and Tim. But you... She could see you as a potential opponent." Now I was even more confused. "I don't understand. She was so nice to me..." "Well we can't read her mind" Abby complemented.

"But what do you feel?" Jessy asked then.

I looked on the ground. Answering that question was difficult, made me feel uncomftable. "I mean..."  I began... "he's the first guy in a while that I've liked and enjoyed being around with. He's some kind of special to me I'd say" I tried to explain. "I really thought he might've liked me too but then I've seen the way he looks at Emily."
Jessy put her arm around me. "I'm so sorry for you. I hope it'll turn out the right way..." "Maybe Tim has his own opinion about this" Abby added and smile at me. And no matter how nice and encouraging her words were I couldn't get Emily out of my head. Having her against me could give me some massive disadvantages. Obviously she was very nice to me but who could tell what was going on inside her head? What would happen if she realized I was in some kind interested in Tim? To be honest, I wasn't sure if Tim was worth such a drama.

Until Emily and Tim returned, I talked a lot to Lewis and Jessy about school and horses of course and Abby gave me some styling tipps. The atmosphere was very relaxing. But as soon as they came in sight, the air started to get more and more electrical. Maybe it was just because I knew Emily's attitude towards Tim and also me, but I couldn't tell.  Every wrong word had the power to kick off a fight it seemed. Emily sat down next to Abby, and next to her was me. Arriving, Tim smiled at me but he sat down literally side to side by Emily. Way too close for my taste. I looked away and started talking to Lewis who was now sitting next to me. It hurted.

"So, what exactly are you doing here?" he asked. I hestistated for a moment, then answered. "Tim invited me." It seemed like the most neutral response in that second. But then quickly realized that it had sounded like he had invited me for a date, which sadly hadn't been the case. Not how I'd thought. But Lewis seemed too drunk to realize what I just said.

"As you might have noticed, Tim and I went to get some alcohol" Emily said and raised a bottle of whiskey in the air. "Let's play truth or dare!!" Lewis screamed and it was so loud it hurted my ears. From everybody he gained agreement but I wasn't really sure about it. "I'll just watch you guys" I said quietly, hoping that nobody would take it up. "Noooo!" Lewis shouted again, right in my ear, "you're gonna play as well!!" I tried to convince him I didn't want to but there was no chance for me. I had to join them.
