"I can't believe you actually stole that" I giggled and he nodded. "I did" he laughed "it was Luca's idea not mine." "Don't you put the blame on him, I know it was your idea too!" "Why should I want to do that?" he asked ironicly. We both laughed. "Wait, this is one of my favourite songs" I began, "can we please go dancing?" "No?" he said. "Please, pleaasee" I begged. And surprisingly it worked. He gave in and joined me on the dancefloor. The song was "Anywhere" by Rita Ora and I absolutely loved it. So I grabbed his arm and pulled him to an empty spot where I started dancing. I moved my body in the rhythm of the music and used him as a dance partner, although he wasn't actively moving. I totally felt the music and it was like we were one. When the chorus kicked in Tim suddenly took my hand and swirled me around. My solo dance turned in a beautiful duett with him. Ready to start over with the second verse, I suddenly heard somebody yell my name. I let go of Tim and turned around. It was Jennifer. What could be so important to disturb me now?! "I'm gonna eat a pizza with Marcus. Call me if you need something." She waved at me then linked arms with this Marcus-guy and left. In my thoughts I had killed her a million times. Couldn't she have sent me a text? We were having such a fun time why did she interrupt us?! I was really annoyed at Jennifer and before I even had the chance to continue dancing the song ended.
Offended I went over to my barstool and sat down again. "You okay? You seem pissed?" Tim mentioned and I looked at him apologetic. "Look, over there are a few friends of mine, do you wanna join?" For a few seconds I had to think about it but I agreed. Why not?
We went over to a table near the DJ. There were three girls and two boys. The blonde girl noticed me and Tim first and smiled at him lovingly. "Hey guys, can I introduce you to..." "Oh heeeyyy" a strongly built boy with black hair interrupted Tim "I know you from somewhere...." He definitely wasn't sober anymore. "Well, I've been here the whole day..." "Oh you rode the competition at 4pm" he finally realized. I nodded. While I had talked to this guy Tim was chatting to the girls. "So this is Emily" he pointed at the girl on the far left, with the mid-back lenght blonde hair, "here is Jessy and this is Abby." Jessy was a bit bigger than the other two girls and her hair was dark brown with bangs. Abby wore a red crop top with "crew" written on it and she had paired it with a very tight black jeans. "I love your hair Jessy, it's so pretty!" I complimented her and she smiled. "I like your outfit a lot" she said and the other girls agreed.
Tim continued introducing the boys to me. The one who had already been talking to me was called Lewis and the other one Nate. Tim was talking to Nate meanwhile I explained to the girls where I knew Tim from. It was very interesting to talk to them because they'd known him for a while now. Emily, his best friend, rode with him in the same club since she was six years old. "We had jumping lessons together when we were younger. He always wanted to be better, faster than me. The highest obstacle wasn't high and wide enough. It needed to be more and more, every time. And that one day... there was no trainer here yet but the jumps from the adults last night were still set up and he became too boisterous and..." "Should I get new drinks?" Tim quickly interrupted Emily. He grabbed her arm and pulled her, now gently, over with him to the bar. "What was that?" I asked confused but the girls signaled their refusal. They told me to ask him to find out the ending of the story. It was not their duty to tell me. I hoped Emily would continue telling it but after returning she changed the topic and asked questions about me.
The girls and I got along very well, we had the same humour and interests and also with Lewis and Nate I was cool. They were very nice guys and even Lewis hitting on me didn't annoy me too much. We all just had fun. And it was obvious, at least to me, that the table on our right didn't like that at all. It was this annoying blonde girl from earlier this evening and her friends. "They're jealous" I whispered quietly in Abby's ear who was sitting next to me. Carefully she looked over. "Oh not her again. She's been following us, especially Tim, the whole day. Every time she tries to make a pass at Tim and this idiot flirts with her! We're never gonna get rid of her if he goes on doing that!" We gossiped a while over her and meanwhile the guys were talking about football. But soon it all got boring. It was Lewis who spoke out the truth. "Guys it is so extremely boring right now. What do you think about going outside?" I agreed, completely clueless about what would happen.
