When I arrived half an hour later at Jennifer's flat, with my backpack full of stuff, she was already waiting for me. Quickly I threw my things on her living room sofa and jumped in the car. I was super excited to go out tonight and I was even more happier that Tim had asked me to see him there.  "Wow you look great" she complimented me when she first completely saw me. "Thanks you too." She was wearing a hotpants with a black top and high heels so you could see her tattoos. Personally I didn't like big sized tattoos but everybody had the freedom to do whatever they wanted with their body. So for me it was okay because it wasn't my body neither my decision.

I was so excited for tonight and my mood was over the moon, ready to enjoy the night. It had been a while since I last went out. My friend Aline prefered going out with some of her other friends and to be honest I actually didn't have many very close friends. So going out was most of the time something that didn't really have a place in my social life. But deep inside me I already knew that this night would be different than anything I had ever expected in my whole life.

Having arrived at the party location, a big white tent, I was massively thrilled with joy. Even from far away we could hear the loud music. For the last time I checked my face in the mirror and I went through my hair again, for the thousandth time this evening.

We entered the party tent whilst Rihanna's "S&M" was booming loudly through the speakers. With the beat I made my steps forward inside. It took me a few seconds to get used to the volume and the light and I had to blink a few times.
Firstly I sat down by the bar on one of the barstuhls. "I'd like to have a sparkling wine" I asked the barkeeper. For the first part of the evening I would definitely need some alcohol...
Following Jennifer step by step was more exhausting than I thought. But also more boring. I hadn't seen Tim or anybody else I knew yet so there was no other choice for me. Jennifer talked to a lot of people, and the more people she talked to the more boring it got. So many peole that didn't care. But they would only not care as long as there was nothing "interesting" about you. As soon as there was some gossip about you you were the number 1. People just loved making remarks about each other.

After two hours I was unbelievably bored. I absconded myself to the bar again. This time I ordered myself a coke. The night was still young, it was only 9:30pm. Even though the  music was totally great and completely my taste, I had expected this party to be more... spectacular. For some people it probably was, but obviously not for me. The goal of this event was for riders to meet friends they hadn't seen in a while. Well, I didn't really know that many people and especially not many whom I wanted to talk to.

I was sitting at the bar when a young woman came to me. Her name was Mira and I knew her from the riding stable I had been in before. She had always been the sweetest and most supportive person and it was so lovely to see her again. We exchanged news about the past years of our lives and horses and it was super interesting to hear what she was doing now. She told me all the drama that had been going on and I explained her what I had been up to since. It was such an amazing opportunity that we were able to actually talk to each other.

When the DJ made an announcement about the further programme for the night, I saw someone in the corner of my eye enter the room. It was him. Tim. I immediately started smiling. He must've seen me too because he looked me in the eyes, threw a smile in my direction, but then, surprisingly, he went the other way, away from me.

I was very confused. I thought that Tim was here to see me, but it seemed like he wasn't. Mira recognized my confusion and asked about it. "Do you know Tim well?" she wanted to know. And I didn't really know what to say. So I told her that we'd been texting for a while and that he told me this afternoon that he wanted to meet me tonight. "So he asked you out for tonight?" she enquired. I nodded "Yes, I guess so." "Then why is he standing so close to this girl over there?"
And really. There was Tim, standing with a group of girls, and there was this blonde girl from today's afternoon, and he had his arm around her and they were close. Really close...
