Monsters: Poem Three
{poem three: monsters}
The stars guide me through the dark of night,
Where the monsters lurk impatient.
I glide over the grass with ease,
And turn my head in curiousity.
The blue eyes penetrate deep into my soul,
And they were so intense,
It hurt.
I keep up the pace,
Terrifyed of the creature behind me.
I trip and roll,
Down,
Down,
Down,
Into a ditch.
My attempt to get back up is useless,
For the being already had me.
I demand it to reveal itself,
And it does.
It pulls off the mask.
Blue eyes,
Blonde hair,
And the face of true horror.
It was me.
