Deleted Scene #1

Hello guys!

So, I know it's been along while since I've written...well, anything. Sadly, this is not anything new and isn't really long enough to be considered any kind of update.

I feel really bad about taking so long to post another chapter of any of my works and I wanted to think you all for being so supportive and patient with me. I really appreciate it.

So, I was thinking "what can I do to show my readers that I love them?" I just so happened to come up with this stupid idea.

I've decided to publish this "deleted scene" as a little bit of a prize for all of you since you're so amazing and sweet to me!

I had originally written this back in December and had wanted to put it in the last chapter of this book, but I decided to take things in another direction for the ending.

Now, that being said, I cannot confirm nor deny that any of what is written here is actually "cannon" or true. You'll have to decide what to believe for yourself. I am only publishing this as a prize. Like I said, I chose to take things in a different direction.

I wrote this down and almost published it, but I didn't...and I couldn't bear to erase it because I thought it was a beautiful ending even if I didn't use it in the final cut. I just happened to stumble upon it while cleaning out my PC.

This scene originally took place in the last chapter where Writer was comforting Y/n...I wanted to use this time to show the audience the more human side of the character.

I apologize in advance for the weird paragraph spacing. I had this saved in notebook and it made it all wacky.

Enjoy, babies!

He knew he was about to break all of his rules...he shouldn't even be considering what he was considering...he should just push you into the next story....

But he couldn't.

Not like this.

"Come with me."

Your head snapped up at his quiet command, slowly standing to your feet and following behind him as he led you to the other side of the large, white room.

Your brows furrowed as he reach a large, wooden door, the carved wooden symbols seeming familiar to you....

You titled your head as Writer placed his hand on the door, gray eyes raising to meet yours.

"I can only give you a few minutes in this world." He explained. "You didn't get to say goodbye to Jin...but maybe you can say goodbye to someone else..."

You blinked in confusion as Writer motioned towards the door.

"He can't see or hear you." He stated. "But this may make you feel a little bit better."

With those last words, he pushed down on the handle, causing the door to open.

You hesitantly stepped inside, jumping slightly as the door clicked shut behind you.

Your blue eyes scanned over the room curiously, drinking in the sight.

The stone walls were tall and led up to the high ceiling. The wooden floors shined beneath your feet, the light from the open window causing the sun to reflect off of the wood.

You couldn't help but feel a sense of nostalgia as your fingers brushed against the velvet material of the red curtains.

You were in someone's bedroom. A large bed rested in the corner of the room, the golden, silk sheets tempting you to go and cuddle up in their warmth.

The smell of flowers filled your nostrils, causing a smile to form on your face. You couldn't understand why Writer had brought you here...

Was this place somehow important to you?

The sound of muffled voices approaching caused your head to snap up, panic shooting through you briefly.

Writer said they couldn't see or hear you...so you should be safe if there's any danger.

Your body tensed up as the wooden door slowly creaked open.

"It's the late evening, Hoseok."

Your eyes widened at the voice, hand snapping over your mouth as you froze. You knew that voice.

"Your highness, it's your birthday celebration. You cannot simply go to sleep."

You couldn't fight back the tears that fell from your eyes as your friend's voice filled your ears, the door opening all the way, revealing the first man you had fallen in love with.

You were back where it all started...

You were back in The Four Kingdoms.

Yoongi let out an annoyed groan as he walked into the room, the orange-haired sorcerer following behind him, a scowl on his face as he scolded the young royal.

"I am tired."

"You are the king now." Hoseok stated. "Everyone is here. Jungkook, Jimin and Jin have brought you a present that I think you will particularly enjoy."

The raven-haired man frowned, waving off his close friend.

"Very well," He gritted. "I will come down in a few moments....I need to speak with her first."

You could feel your heart clench as Hoseok's expression slowly dropped, his eyes saddening at Yoongi's words.

You watched as he slowly nodded his head.

"Don't be late."

With those last words, Hoseok exited the room, softly closing the door behind him.

You watched as Yoongi sighed heavily, running a hand through his dark hair as he took a seat on the edge of the bed, his head resting in his hands.

You slowly took a step closer to him, hands shaking as you stared at him.

"Y/n..."

You froze as your name left his lips, his eyes raising to meet yours. You were beginning to panic.

You thought he couldn't see you. Writer said that he couldn't-

"I'm sorry that I'm late." He breathed, lowered his eyes again. "I had a meeting with the nobles...you know how talkative those guys get."

Your face softened...

He didn't know you were here...he was talking to himself.

"Today is my birthday." He muttered softly. "I wish you were here...I always wish you were here...."

You bit your lip, trying to keep your emotions contained as you sat next to him on the bed.

"Drake is doing alright...he misses you, of course." He paused. "He's actually brought more dragons back to the kingdom..."

He hesitated before continuing.

"Grace really misses you." He breathed, voice cracking slightly. "She hasn't spoken a single word since you left...She wants her mother back....I-I want you back too."

A single tear fell from your eyes as he continued to speak, his eyes never leaving the floor.

"It gets harder everyday that you're not here." He stated. "Things seemed so much easier with you by my side...I feel like I'm failing...I'm failing as a king, I'm failing as a father...I'm failing as a husband."

Your brows shot up at that word.

Yoongi chuckled.

"Well, I guess I'm not technically a husband...you left before I could convince you to marry me."

A sad laugh left your lips at his words, heart leaping in your chest.

"This was going to be our room." He stated, motioning around the bedroom. "I thought you would like the view...you can smell the flowers up here...i knew you would enjoy that part...but I won't sleep here...not without you...not until you're home."

"Yoongi..."

Your voice came out in a soft cry, throat constricting.

"You're coming home, right?" He asked softly, hands reaching inside his pocket. "I don't know what I'll do with this if you don't."

You watched as he toyed with the small metal ring, his fingers holding it delicately as if it were a priceless treasure.

"After The Wall fell, I asked Hoseok to have this forged...I-I didn't think you'd like a golden one..."

You closed your eyes shut, trying to keep yourself under control.

The young king let out a painful laugh.

" It's made from the arrow that I was shot with." He confessed. "I suppose it's a bit odd that I had it fashioned into a ring for you...but, when I look at it, I don't think of the pain that this arrow inflicted...I only think of your gentle eyes. I think of the way you took care of me even after I said such awful things to you in the forest that morning...That's the moment when I realized just how much I loved you..."

You glanced down.

"I miss you so much."

A small stream of tears began to pour from Yoongi's eyes as he stared at the metal ring.

"I miss you too." You breathed, hand hovering over his.

"I love you, Y/n." He stated. "And it's killing me that you're not here.."

"I love you too, Yoongi." You stated.

Welp, that's the end, folks.

I hope you guys enjoyed. It's very sad and it hurt me to reread. I left it completely unedited because I wanted you to see the actual thing that's been sitting in my documents for almost a year now.

I thought about maybe hosting a zoom meeting. Kinda like a meet and greet so that everyone that wants can join in and I can talk to all of you! If you'd be interested let me know!

Also, I think I may start making and selling some merch for my books...I'm not sure if anyone would want it, but I could do something special for each and every order.

I love you guys and I promise to update soon.

Bye Bye!

I love you.

I adore you.

I purple you.

I'm out.

-Max
