Chapter 24: Gone

"You're gone. I know it. I know it and it kills me."

                                                            -Ransta Suzuki

A sad sigh escaped Jin's lips as he stared at you from a distance.

His heart ached inside of his chest, his hands trembling as he watched Hoseok embrace you in the cold rain.

The spirit wished that he could be angry with the former warrior, he wanted nothing more than to be able to hate him and despise him until his dying day...

But, he knew he couldn't.

As much as it hurt him to say...He was the one who messed up, not Hoseok. He was the one who hurt you. He was the one who betrayed your trust...and Hoseok was the one who was comforting you.

In all honesty, Jin was thankful to Hoseok.

He was glad that you had someone there...He was glad that you weren't going through this alone.

Even though it hurt him to see you in the arms of another man, Jin wasn't going to butt in or get angry. Why should he? He brought this upon himself. As long as you were happy...Then Jin would be able to stay away from you and allow you to live your life...

No matter how much it hurt him to do so.

Tears stung his eyes as he watched the two of you go inside, a small smile on your face as you stared at Hoseok.

Seokjin wanted nothing more than to run to you and beg for forgiveness. He wanted to put everything back to the way it was. He wanted to tell you how he felt about you and he wanted to hold you and kiss away all the pain he had caused.

But he wasn't going to do that.

He knew better.

He was a spirit. You were the Oracle..You both lived two very different lives and after everything he had done to you...he was slowly beginning to accept his fate.

He was doomed to be alone again.

But he wasn't going to complain. He deserved it.

He deserved every single heartbreaking moment of loneliness. He deserved to have his heart stomped upon. He deserved to sit in the shadows and watch as you grew older and found someone else...

He deserved every second of it.

The white-haired spirit raised his gaze to the heavens, his blue eyes closing as the hard rain poured over his pale face.

This was him now.

He was a ghost. A lonely, heartbroken spirit. The ghost of everything that could've been and never was.

A soft laugh left your lips as you stared at the small child in front of you, her damp, blond hair falling over her face as she reached her arms out for you.

Yoongi ruffled his hair with his hands in an attempt to dry himself off even the slightest bit.

Hoseok raised an eyebrow at their appearance, his hands reaching for one of the towels that the servants had brought to the two of you earlier.

"What happened to the two of you?" He asked with a sideways grin.

Yoongi huffed in annoyance, pointing to the giggling toddler in his hands.

"This little solider decided it would be fun to run outside in the middle of a storm and hide from daddy."

He looked at the little girl, giving her a stern look.

"Turns out she's very good at hiding."

She smiled, wrapping her small arms around him in a familiar embrace.

He rolled his eyes, trying to hide his smile.

You couldn't stop yourself from going soft at the sight of the two of them.

Grace seemed to be good for Yoongi...He smiled a lot in this world.

"You should change out of those clothes," Hoseok started. "You're getting water all over the floor."

Yoongi nodded his head, his hand moving to rub the back of his neck awkwardly.

"Well, I don't really have any clothes with me at the moment." He began. "The servants came and took my clothes to wash this morning."

Hoseok raised an eyebrow, his eyes widening slightly.

"All of them?"

Yoongi nodded.

"I don't own a lot of clothes."

You watched as the black-haired man ran a hand through his hair, eyes darting around the room.

"I may have something you can wear."

You nodded your head.

"And I should have something for Grace in my room." You stated. "I'll change her out of those wet clothes."

The blond warrior offered you a gummy smile.

"Thank you."

You shook your head, taking Grace into your arms.

"You don't have to thank me. I just don't want her to get sick."

He nodded his head, a light blush raising up his cheeks as he stared at you.

"And besides," You started, motioning to your own dripping attire. "I need to change anyway."

You watched as he swallowed hard, his eyes roaming over your wet clothes.

"R-Right." He husked.

Hoseok's gaze darted between the two of you for a few moments before he spoke up.

"You should get her changed before she gets sick." He stated, motioning towards Grace.

You hummed in response.

"I'll see you guys at breakfast."

They nodded in sync.

Grace sent a happy wave to Yoongi, a large smile showing on her features as you turned on your heel, beginning the walk to your bedroom.

You ran your fingers through her tangled, golden locks, brushing it out as much as possible.

Every time you saw the young child, your mind always went back to The Four Kingdoms...back to your Yoongi and your Grace.

You missed them both so much...

But, you also missed Taehyung...

And as if your heart wasn't already being torn apart...you had feelings for Jin.

You hated to even think about it, and admitting it killed you, but there was no sense in lying to yourself about it. You knew how you felt and you had a feeling that it wasn't going to change any time soon. You can't control your heart, no matter how hard you tried.

God...You wished you could hate him.

You let out a soft sigh as you rounded the corner, standing before the sliding door of your bedroom.

You were going to get through this...just as you had done every time before. You were going to remain calm and strong and face any obstacle that would come your way.

You slowly slid the door of your room open, deciding to forget about the drama going on at that moment.

Your brows furrowed when Grace instantly tensed in your arms, her giggles ceasing instantly.

You studied her features with worry, wondering about her sudden change of mood.

"Grace?"

The young toddler didn't even acknowledge you, her eyes never moving away from whatever she was staring at.

You slowly followed her line of sight, eyes falling onto a familiar figure that was seated on your bed.

A large smile instantly covered your face.

"Jungkook?"

The young Emperor smiled at the use of his name, his body moving to stand up.

"Oracle." He greeted.

A quiet cry left the child in your arms, her small hands gripping the wet material of your silk robes tightly.

You adjusted her position, placing your hand on her cheek in an attempt to comfort her.

"What are you doing here?" You asked cautiously.

Jungkook took a step closer to you.

That's when your spidey sense started tingling.

You became more uneasy the closer his body got to yours. Your hairs stood up on the back of your neck and you began to feel queasy. Your head began to ache and your heart started pounding within your chest.

Something is wrong.

"I wanted to see you."

His voice sent shivers down your spine...and not in the good way.

You subconsciously took a step backward, suddenly getting a bad feeling in the pit of your stomach.

Grace began to sob in your arms, burying her face in the crook of your neck as he proceed to move closer. Her tears fell against your skin, her hands gripping your robes for dear life as she cried her heart out.

You slowly raised your eyes to his.

His eyes.

They weren't right.

"Wh-Who are you?" You asked your bandaged hand moving to cradle Grace's head in a protective manner.

Jungkook furrowed his brows, a nervous laugh escaping him.

"Is this a jest?" He blurted. "I am Jungkook. Emperor of-"

"You're not Jungkook." You interrupted. "You-You're someone else."

His eyes hardened slightly, jaw clenching as he tried to contain himself.

"Don't be foolish," He ground out. "I am Jungkook."

"You aren't!" You yelled. "I-I know Jungkook and you-you are not him!"

A low growl left his mouth as he stepped towards you.

You shot into panic mode.

You knew what this man-this thing-was capable of. He was merciless and cruel. He didn't hesitate with breaking your wrist and you were sure that he wouldn't hesitate to hurt Grace either.

"I think you are mistaken." He spat. "Clearly, you do not know what you're talking about."

You jumped at the loud sound of your bedroom door slamming shut behind you.

Your eyes widened.

How did he do that?!

"Stay away from us!" You roared, back hitting the wooden post of your wall as he continued to advance.

He raised his finger to his lips, signalling for you to be quiet.

"We wouldn't want to alarm the child, would we?"

He moved his eyes to the crying infant in your arms, his hand resting on her back.

You snatched her away from his touch, sending him a death glare.

"Get your filthy hands off of her." You growled.

He arched a brow at your words, an evil smirk playing on his lips.

"So bold." He hummed, placing his finger under your chin.

Your body trembled under his touch. Not only from the cold air on your wet clothes, but from the terror that was flowing through you as you remembered exactly how much harm the man before you could do.

You were scared.

But you weren't going to show him that. You weren't going to make yourself weak in front of him.

You spat in his face, blue eyes shooting daggers at him.

He groaned in disgust, a low growl echoing from his throat.

You swallowed hard, trying to seem courageous.

Before you could even blink, he had moved into action, his hands snatching Grace from your arms.

She let out a scream of protest, her entire body shaking with fear as she sobbed.

"Mama!" She screamed, reaching for you.

Your eyes widened instantly, body moving towards her.

"Grace!" you exclaimed.

Jungkook sent you a hard look, his light brown eyes hard on your figure.

His look caused you to freeze in your spot, your heart pounding with anxiety and fear.

"Don't move." He growled. "Or I will snap her neck."

You clenched your jaw, standing still.

It took everything in your power not to shoot forward and save your baby from his tight grip.

"Okay," You started softly, raising your hands in surrender. "Okay."

You could feel your heart shattering as she called out for you, her sobs only growing louder every second. You squeezed your eyes shut, tears beginning to form.

"Good." Jungkook popped, taking a deep breath. "I suppose my little secret is out now."

You clenched your jaw, refusing to speak.

"I knew the day would come when you would find out, after all you are the Oracle. Hiding something like this from you would be impossible."

He began walking, his body making it's way over to the corner of your room where Grace's crib was located. Yoongi had brought it here the first night she stayed with you.

You watched as he placed the crying child down in the crib, her cries filling your ears.

"What do you want!?" You spat.

A sick grin made it's way onto his face as he stared at you, slowly making his way back to where you stood.

You swallowed hard, keeping your chin held high.

"I want heirs." He said with a smirk.

Your eyes widened instantly, head shaking on instinct.

"You're sick!" You yelled. "I've already told you; I am not giving anyone heirs! Especially not some pig like you!"

He laughed darkly, clutching his stomach.

"It isn't like you have much of a choice, darling." He stated. "I have the child and I could kill her instantly.."

You clenched your jaw, poking the inside of your cheek with your tongue.

He was right.

As much as you hated it.

He was right.

He had power and he had Grace...he had the upper hand on you and there was nothing you could do about it...You weren't going to risk her life.

"And besides," He continued, motioning to himself.  "It isn't like this body disgusts you..I promise..You'll enjoy it."

"B-Body?" You repeated.

He hummed, nodding his head.

"My son's." He popped. "It's a good thing, he's attractive...I don't think I could bear living in an ugly vessel."

Your throat went dry at his words, your mind struggling to process the information that you were being fed.

You knew something wasn't right about him...But you would never have guessed this...

From what you understood, Jungkook's father was possessing him...which would explain his sudden change of behavior. All the pieces fit into place...but you didn't understand why he was so determined to have...heirs. That was the thing that didn't make sense to you.

"You-" You paused. "You're controlling your son's body?"

He smiled, moving closer to you, his eyes raking your body up and down.

"He's weak." He spat. "He doesn't deserve this body."

You opened your mouth to speak, but you were instantly cut off as his lips crashed against yours in a bruising kiss.

You were petrified for a few moments, body freezing up in pure shock and surprise.

You tried to ignore the way his lips felt against yours, telling yourself that the man in front of you wasn't the Jungkook you had come to know.

You pulled yourself away from him.

He growled at your resistance, his arm wrapping around your waist and pulling your body flush against his.

Grace's cried still flowed through the air as she called out for you, reaching her small hands over the railing of her crib.

Jungkook moved back into action, his lips assaulting your neck as he nibbled and kissed your soft skin roughly.

You struggled against him, trying your best to have his grip on you release, but he was much stronger than you.

"Jungkook." You whimpered, tears beginning to form in your eyes as you reached out to your only hope. "Help me."

To your surprised, a splash of liquid fell onto the skin of your neck, his lips never leaving you.

"I-I'm so sorry." He breathed between kisses, his voice trembling. "He-He's too strong."

More tears hit your flesh as he bit down hard enough to leave a mark, his hands travelling up your sides, his fingers beginning to undo the knot of your robes.

"I don't want to hurt you!" He exclaimed, shoving your robe off of your shoulders.

You bit back your cries. Was there really nothing you could do?

This was the real Jungkook speaking to you, but his father had full control of his body and actions.

He began to kiss along your jaw, his tears mixing with your own as he worked his way up.

His lips met your again, the salty taste of your tears invading both of your senses as his lips moved against your own, his hand moving to cradle the back of your head.

He pulled back for a moment, untying his robe and allowing it to fall to the floor, leaving him in only his trousers that he wore underneath his clothing.

His lips instantly found yours again, your hands pushing against his bare chest.

"I'm sorry." Jungkook sobbed against your lips. "I-I can't-I can't stop him!"

You squeezed your eyes shut as your body was suddenly lifted into the air, his hands tucking underneath your thighs as he hoisted you up, forcing your legs to wrap around his waist.

"Don't hate me." He whispered, beginning to walk over to the bed. "Pl-Please don't hate me."

You couldn't find any words to say to him.

You couldn't say that you wouldn't hate him, because in all honesty, you didn't know if you'd be able to move past this.

He tossed you down, your body bouncing on the mattress.

You didn't even fight anymore.

Why would you?

Even if you somehow managed to get away from him, he would only hurt Grace and if by some miracle, the two of you got out safe...he would always keep coming from you.

Jungkook climbed over you, his shirtless body hovering only inches away from your burning flesh.

His lips met your collar bone, his hands parting your robe as he kissed lower and lower, his mouth trailing to the valley of your breasts.

You were thankful that you were still covered and not on complete display, but you still choked out a sob.

His movements paused for a moment, the sound of his deep breathing filling your ears.

"I don't..."He paused. "I don't feel so good-"

His words were cut off in an instant, his body falling limply and rolling onto the floor with a loud 'thud'.

You blinked in surprise, scrambling backwards to get away from his unconscious form that now lay on the ground.

"What-"

"Y/n!"

You were suddenly enveloped into a warm embrace, strong arms wrapping around you and pulling you into a muscular chest.

Seokjin's chest heaved as he pulled you closer, too caught up in his worry to care about the situation between the two of you.

"Are you alright?" He asked breathlessly. "Did he hurt you?"

You stayed still, allowing him to hold you as you stared at Jungkook's body.

In that moment, you couldn't bring yourself to think about Jin's betrayal.

"What did you do to him?" You asked, ignoring his previous questions.

Jin moved to look at Jungkook, his wet, white hair sticking to his forehead.

"Don't worry," He said. "The Emperor is not hurt."

You almost sighed in relief.

Seokjin placed a kiss to your hair before continuing.

"I sent him away for a while," He began. "But we should be ready when he comes back."

You frowned.

"When who comes back?"

The blue-eyed spirit sighed.

"Jeon Daesung."

A/N,

I did not mean for this chapter to be so long....sorry.

But, oh well. All's fair in love and war.

What do you think about Jungkook in this book? The real one...not the possessed one

I love you.

I adore you.

I purple you.

I'm out.
