sorry for the wait! decided to release extra long chapter and to release it a day early!

Jeff grunted as he was thrown into a tree with a sickening THUD. I couldn't decide whether to help jeff or attack the creature, but I immediately decided and lunged at the monster as it began to call to slender again.

i slammed my body into it, cutting it short. I snapped my jaws around frantically, trying to catch something in my mouth. black liquid spurted everywhere, a disgusting taste invading my tongue. i had gotten its arm.

it screeched in pain, chomping it's crooked, sharp fangs into my ribcage. i yelped, my hold on it's arm releasing for a fraction of a second. apparently that second was long enough for it to escape me and smack its claws across my muzzle. it shredded across my cheek, narrowly missing my eye.

flaming pain scorched up my face. i clenched my jaw and tried to knock it to the ground again. but it dodged and ended up grabbing my scruff harshly and throwing me into a boulder. i smacked against it, my breathe escaping my lungs. i wheezed and sputtered, my vision going dark.

jeff was half dazed as he stumbled toward the monster. he grabbed his knife, clutching it tightly. he once again tackled it, slicing his weapon across its spine with ferocity.

"HELP ME OUT HERE!" he managed to rasp as he wrestled it. i struggled to understand but i somehow pushed myself up. once again he was thrown to the side like a dog toy. the creature opened its mouth wide, a roar escaping its throat. I lunged right before that happened, but immediately crashed into a thorn bush from the ringing in my ears.

I have to make it stop before slender hears.. I thought, even though i could hardly feel anything anymore. I launched myself at it, mustering up all the strength i had left. i plunged my fangs into its collarbone jerking my head back tearing off skin while tasting the retched black blood.

it hooked its claw into my hind leg and tore through my entire thigh. i screeched in pain, everything beginning to blur around me as i was tossed into bushes. blood gushed from my leg and ribcage, splattering onto the ground everywhere.

i was hardly aware anymore, though. i could've sworn it was all over. either slender or this creature was going to kill us. either way we're doomed.

it's jagged teeth flashed before my eyes for a spilt second. i shut my eyes and braced myself for death.

for pain.

but it never came.

i looked up, everything around me seeming to spin. a huge wolf figure was on the creature's back, snarling viciously and lifting its hefty paw to its head. the creature hissed and bucked, throwing itself into boulders and trees to get the wolf off. but it's claws were deeply dig inside the creatures ribs.

the wolf knocked it out cold right as Jeff launched himself back into action and came to his senses.

I somehow got myself up and shifted.

"Who the hell are you?" Jeff snapped, although he sounded rather exhausted. he hardly had the same amount of menace than usual. but he still had the feisty fire gleaming in his eyes.

The wolf shifted. Surprise surprise, it was Charles. "I'm Charles." he introduced himself.

"Why are you here?" Jeff demanded, sizing up. He sounded woozy, but it was hard to tell if you weren't close with him.

If close is even the right word to use.

Charles didn't seem bothered. "I'm friends with (Y/N) and i saw you guys needed some help." he smiled.

"What do you mean 'friends with (Y/N)?' she hardly ever leaves the mansion! you better get the hell outta here before i slit your throat."

"I am! I saved you and (Y/N)'s life. you should be thanking me! She meets up with me." I silently scolded him, trying to get him to shut up mentally.

He was going to give me away! My adrenaline wore, the pain in thigh and ribcage beginning to swell.

"I don't like you." Jeff stated matter of factly. "(Y/N), can we talk?"

He sounded aggravated. I nodded. Jeff glared at Charles and he took the hint and walked away for us to talk.

"Why the f***k are you meeting up with a stranger every night? don't you know he could be in the enemy pack? you're ridiculous (Y/N)! Is that why you've been so tired lately? i didn't know you could be so naive!" he snapped, bombarding me with questions and scolds. His exhaustion and pain seemed to have faded, his energy all directed on anger.

"Last time i checked you weren't my mom! I can do whatever i want, Jeffrey! He's not dangerous. You've hardly even talked to him!" I argued, anger boiling beneath my skin.

"You're such a f***king idiot (Y/N). You don't know anything for sure. Don't come running back to me when he decides to turn against you!" he hissed in my face. Charles had good hearing, there was no way he wasn't hearing this.

"He won't, just watch!" I growled. A small part of me knew Jeff was right. But the other part of me wanted to be right myself. I didn't want Jeff to always control me. It wasn't like i was worth a sh*t to him anyway. I was old enough to make my own decisions.

Or so I thought.

I steadied my breathing, trying to keep my eyes open.

"Get the f***k out of here. We don't need you here." Jeff said angrily to Charles. Jeff whispered something in Charles ear as he walked past him, his eyes gleaming with menace.

Charles shivered a little and gave me a look before shifting and running off silently.

"What did you say to him?" I said, irritated.

"None of your concern. Now let's get the mixture before this thing wakes up!" he ordered as he walked toward the shed.

I grumpily followed behind him and waited as he struggled to break the lock.

After a minute a thud sounded on the dirt. A squeak of the door on its rusty hinges followed as the door swung open.

"Keep an eye on the monster." Jeff said, "And let me know if it moves."

I nodded reluctantly and turned my back to him. I watched the monsters muscles twitch, signaling it was alive but unconscious.

Black, inky blood oozed from its wounds we inflicted upon it. I could hear Jeff messing around with glass inside the wooden shed, sharp clangs sounding every now and then.

The cool air brushed against my skin, sending shudders up my spine and plastering goosebumps on my thighs. In my human form my wolf wounds still throbbed, except the pain was dulled. I tried to keep my mind off of it.

I wonder what Jeff said to him. I thought. I knew it was a threat of some sort. Ugh, sometimes i really just wanted to kill Jeff. And i meant that literally.

The monster twitched, groaning a little. I winced and clenched my jaw together, ready to tell Jeff to run at any second.

I didn't want to raise a false alarm, but the anticipation was so high it was hard not to at any random noise.

"Found it!" Jeff said with triumph.

"Good, now hurry!" I urged him. I could hear some clattering as Jeff put everything back into place.

Dust whooshed outside as he exited, causing me to cough.

"You sure it's the right one?" I asked.

"Yeah, now lets go." he said in a bit of a rude nonchalant way. I rolled my eyes and casted one last glance at the monster before following him.

"Don't you think Slender will notice that someone beat his guard to death?" I questioned aloud.

"It's wounds heal quickly because of is black blood." he said tiredly. "Now can you just shut up?"

I flicked him off from behind, frustrated. He acted like he owned me.

Finally, after what felt like forever, we made it back to the mansion. The darkness in the edges of my eyes seemed to spread farther and farther. I was surprised Jeff wasn't knocked out cold after the hit he took to his head.

I tried to hold in a grunt as we walked up the stairs. Instead of going to the bedroom Jeff signaled to the bathroom.

I reluctantly followed him down the hall and into the bathroom, my footsteps heavy.

"I'm gonna go get some new clothes for us. We're gonna have to shower and clean our wounds so we don't seem suspicious." he said.

"Okay, just hurry back." I sighed. He quickly left. I was kind of uncomfortable to shower with him in the same bathroom, but I didn't want to fuss about it. It wasn't like he was going to rip the curtains aside or anything.

I looked down at my clothes. I could hardly tell what color shirt i had on. Black ink was splattered across it, along with dirt and blood stains. Mud cached my legs and arms.

I stared into the mirror for a second. My hair was up in a messy bun. Light red stained it and stray hair stuck out in odd angles. It had been forever since I last looked in a mirror.

I looked more exhausted, and more vicious than the last time i looked in one. I had a long jagged scar on my jaw bone and a short scar on the bridge of my nose. Heavy, dark bags sat under my eyes. I looked awful.

I looked like a murderer.

And for some reason, I kinda liked that.

Jeff came in moments later, standing in the mirror beside me with clothes in his hand. We looked in the mirror in silence for a minute, a thoughtful look on both our faces.

He certainly looked more murderous than I did.

Kinda hot. I admitted to myself. I decided i only thought that because i was tired and I brushed the thought away.

We finally tore our gazes away and he placed the clothes on the toilet.

"Go ahead, get in the shower." he ordered.

"Could you turn around?" I asked, my cheeks beginning to burn.

"Hmm.. How about no?" he said smoothly. I clenched my jaw in embarrassment. I knew he was trying to get on my nerves since he was upset with me about Charles.

I turned away from him and took a deep breath. "You're a jack*ss, you know that right?" I said, humiliated as I pulled my shirt above my head.

"Yeah well, you're a dumb*ss so I guess that makes us even. Now hurry up." he said impatiently. He sounded a little irritated.

I unhooked my bra and let it fall to the ground. I didn't have huge breasts and that always made me kind of self conscious. But who cares? It's not like anyone was going to be seeing them anytime soon.

I then took off my pants and panties, my entire face burning with shame and embarrassment. I knew he could see all the stretch marks on my back, all of my scars and everything. Or maybe all the mud and blood covered that.

I sure hoped so.

Jeff catcalled and I growled at him, cursing a couple times. He chuckled.

I pulled back the curtains quickly and got in, shutting them immediately and turning on the shower water. I was immediately hit with freezing pellets of water.

The shower floor was covered with colored water within seconds. Red, brown, and black all spiraled into the drain.

"Hurry up will ya? We can't take them for long." he said.

"Yeah yeah, I wasn't planning on staying in here forever." I retorted.

I grabbed the body soap and began washing myself off, watching as my stretch marks and scars became more clear. Once I rinsed I then took out my bun and poured some shampoo into my hand.

I could hear Jeff opening up the cabinets and pulling things out as I did so.

I finished up and rinsed off after i washed my face. I wrung out my hair and grabbed the towel he hung on the shower curtain rail. I dried myself and wrapped it around me.

"Took you long enough." he said grumpily as he pulled his shirt over his head.

"Quit being so impatient." I snuffed. He snorted.

I reached for my clothes with an aggravated look on my face. He's so-

Suddenly, i was forced against the wall, cutting off all of my thoughts.

My breath caught in my throat as he stared down at me, his eyes gleaming with something I hadn't ever seen before.

"No one tells me what to do, princess." he said quietly, his sudden velvet voice sending a chill up my spine. The nickname was enough for me to hold my breath. I almost dropped my towel out of shock.

"S-sorry.." i said, entranced. I was trapped between his arms, the only thing separating us being my thin towel. We stayed like that for a minute, his face inches from mine and his hands closing in on me. I began to lean in a little, my hands loosening on my towel slightly before he suddenly broke the moment.

"I like it when you're flustered." he teased quietly with a smooth smirk, before turning around and leaving me a blushing mess. His warmth was immediately sucked away from me, and I could feel myself almost longing for it.

It's only because i'm tired. I assured myself. He was so confusing.

My heart pounded and my skin tingled. I breathed, calming myself down. "I-I hate you." I managed.

He didn't respond, but i knew he was smirking.

I quickly put on my clothes, my back facing the shower. It felt nice being clean for once. I rummaged through the cabinet before finding a brush. I smiled and began to brush out my tangly horse mane for hair.

By the time my hair was brushed Jeff was finished with his shower. He got out, his towel covering his legs. I tore my eyes away from his chest and v-line before he caught me staring.

Thankfully he didn't. I turned away as he got dressed. At least I had a sense of privacy.

"Okay, where are your worst wounds?" he asked once he was done.

"My thigh and ribcage." I said, "i'm only inured in my wolf form though."

He nodded as I shifted. My pelt was much softer and cleaner after the shower. I felt like i was floating.

But the feeling only lasted for a second because right after that, pain shot up my leg. I held in a yelp by biting my tongue.

Jeff approached me with a kit in his hands. He pulled out a few things as I sat down. I distracted myself from the sharp pains in my leg as he stitched it up and cleaned it.

I clenched my jaw and stared in the mirror at my wolf face for a minute. When he was finally done with my leg he moved up to my ribcage and began stitching it up. the good thing about my wolf form was that it healed way faster than my human form.

"Done." he said after a few minutes. He ran his hand down my furry back like i was a pet and stood up.

I shifted back and lifted up his shirt. He took it off again.

"One on my chest, one on my back, and one on the back of my head." he said, wincing as I touched the long slice across his back. He had millions of scars.

"Sorry." I said. He didn't respond. I traced my finger tip on his other scars, getting a little carried away. His muscles twitched as i touched the sensitive skin. I wondered how he got that many.

He didn't object. "How long have you been in this mansion?" I asked.

"Forever." he responded after a moment, his voice wistful.

"What about.. before? Like when you were a kid?" I questioned carefully. He was silent.

I immediately regretted asking as his muscles tensed up. He seemed to be getting angry.

"I'm sorry, you don't have to tell me." I hastily said before he could get mad. I braced myself.

He was quiet for a minute and gathered myself together. I began to clean up his scratch.

"I haven't told anyone before." he said, his voice almost inaudible.

I stayed silent, not sure what to say. This is what i've always wanted, to know more about him. For him to open up to me..

"I know i'm insane, but i never thought i'd get to the point where i'd tell the person I hate the most about my past." he huffed irritably.

I knew he didn't hate me. He just told himself that. I was never sure why, though. He was about to begin, when all of the sudden heavier footsteps sounded down the hall. Someone was approaching us to go to the bathroom.

We both jumped, the kit almost falling out of my hands. His voice caught in his throat. I froze as Jeff quickly grabbed our dirty clothes, threw them in the shower and turned off the lights.

He then grabbed me by the hand and dragged me in the shower, unlocking the door as he went. After that he shut the curtains. All without making a sound.

I hoped with all my heart we didn't leave something out there. In a way, i was pissed someone interrupted our moment. We held our breath, pressed up against each other with the kit in my hands.

One of the pastas stumbled in. They entered, the door creaking. They took a leak, yawning over dramatically. Then stumbled back out again. They were too disoriented to notice anything out of the ordinary.

We sighed in relief and quickly got out, flicking on the lights. He didn't bring up his past again as I finished cleaning up his wounds.

I wished he did..
