I was the first in the glade, and to make things harder, I was the first girl, and the last.

I made I very clear to every single boy that came up in the box that I was not interested in a romantic time or interested in falling in love.

That was until of course, Thomas came up in the box, he was different compared to everyone else, he actually wanted to get you out of here, unlike everyone else who just went by with their day.

We had been kissing here and there, from the first night he came up, we were never officially dating

"Y/n, you might want to see this" Newt told me

I was in-charge of the glade and Albi was my right hand man, however no one ever listened to me because I was a girl.

I followed Newt over to were I saw Galley and Thomas fist fighting.

I rolled my eyes and ran over to the boys.

"Oi, enough!" I yelled, getting Minho to grab Galley off of Thomas.

I helped Thomas up.

"What the hell is it this time?!" I yelled at them, they were always fighting and they couldn't get along, it was causing problems that I didn't have time for.

"Thomas, he thinks that he runs this place, he has been here for a week and has already caused too many problems, I think we should send him to the pit!" Galley yelled back at me

"Funny, you aren't the one allowed to make orders around here" I told him

"Why, because Albi isn't, there isn't anyone else who is capable of making demands that will be listened to" he told me

"Excuse me? I think you find Albi isn't in charge I am" I practically growled towards Galley

"And why should I take orders from a girl?" he snapped

I said nothing, I punched him directly in the nose, hearing a crunch as I clearly broke it.

It sent his sexist ass to the floor.

"Next time, don't test me. Now. Take him to the pit" I told Minho and Newt and they did as I asked "If anyone wants to join him please be my guest" I said grabbing Thomas and taking him to the first aid hut to clean him up.

I told him to sit as soon as we got in.

"Why do I always find you two fighting?" I asked Thomas as I cleaned him up.

"This time it was personal" he told me without looking at me.

I grabbed his face, forcing him to look at me.

"Tell me" I told him looking into his eyes.

"He started talking about you in ways I didn't like." he admitted.

"Like what Thomas?" I asked putting his bloody cloth down

"He was saying things like, you aren't meant to be in charge, your a bitch, then he began to say things like if I don't get you under my belt quickly then he will take you off of me" He said 

"Thank you, for defending me" I told him

He looked up at me before kissing me

I kissed him back.

I walked closer to him deepening the kiss.

"Well, what a surprise" Someone said causing us to stop

It was Galley

"Why are you not in the pit?" I asked

"Because someone really needs to take charge around here, and that needs to be me" he snarled

"That's it." I stormed out the hut and walked out and into the middle of the grounds.

"MEETING HUT NOW!" I yelled

I walked there as did everyone else.

I waited down the front as everyone gathered

"So, it has come to my attention that Galley thinks he run this place, and I want your opinions, we are holding a vote. So, all in favour for Galley to take over and be in charge, raise your hand" I said.

About 20 people raised their hands.

"And for me" I asked

Another 30 people raised their hands. 

"Happy now Galley, you have now been humiliated and found yourself in the pit for 3 days" I said 

"Dismissed" I said as everyone left as me and Thomas stayed

"You think I made my point?" I asked 

He laughed

"You are the best person in the glade, thats why I am going to make you proud" He told me 

I smiled.

"Go to bed, I will see you in the morning" I smiled

He gave me a quick kiss before leaving me alone in the meetings hut.

I stayed there until the sun came up the next day.

Why I didn't know, but it made me feel good.

Thomas was off with Minho, running to see if there was a new route while I waited for Thomas to get back.

As I did this, the sound I hate echoed through the walls.

Thomas, yelling.

I ran out to see him once again beating the crap out of Galley.

I sighed annoyed, every. Single. God. Damn. Day.

I sprinted over to them and grabbed Thomas

"I swear, if I have to break a fight up between you two again, ever, you will drive me running into the maze at night." I yelled

"Galley pushed it, he deserved it" Thomas spat

"Oh come on, the only reason greenie here is so protective over Miss I'm Always Right, is because he's fucking her" Galley snapped.

"You want me to be your ass this time?" Newt said coming to defend me 

"Even if we were fucking what does that have to do with you?" I asked

"Because it's gross, and its also funny seeing as you swore to never date in this glade" Galley pointed out

"Oh my god, are you jealous Galley?" I asked, causing him to immediately blush

"Holy crap" Thomas said, seeing the pink in his cheeks.

"Why the hell are you giving her hell, if you fancy her?" Minho asked

"Because it isn't fair that he comes in here, becomes a runner, acts like he runs the place and gets the girl" Galley admitted 

"Galley, do you want to know why I got the girl?" Thomas asked

He stared at him blankly

"Because I had the balls to admit I liked her" Thomas said 

"Galley, you give me shit every day because you fancy me? I am sorry but thats giving me all the wrong messages sweetheart" I snapped "Look, I can't punish you for your feelings by putting you in the pit, thats why, I am putting you on bog cleaning for the week, if you can prove that you can actually be nice to me for that week while I am making you clean everyones shit up, I will give your team back, but for the time being, Newt you are taking Galleys place" I said 

"Oh come one" Galley tried to fight 

"End of discussion" I said pulling on Thomas' hand to once again take him to get him cleaned up

We enters the medical hut as I made him sit.

I made him wait as I checked on Albi, but still no change.

"He will be okay" Thomas said from behind me 

"Thank you" I said to Thomas as he looked at me confused

"I never said thank you for helping Albi, thank you for defending me and thank you for admitting you like me" I smiled

"Anything for you and the people I care about" he smiled coming towards me

I grabbed his face, skimming the thumb over his new bruises on his cheek.

"Come to bed tonight, don't think I haven't noticed you haven't slept all night" he smirked at me 

"Okay" I barely whispered, I admit now that after today, all I needed was some sleep.

Thomas and I made our way to my hut.

I've had this hut since I got her, it gives me privacy from all the boys.

We walked in as I pulled the drape over the gap that acted as a door to stop anyone being able to see it.

My bed was simple a hand made mattress on the floor, with two blankets sown together to act as a large sheet.

Thomas took his shoes off, followed by his shirt as he stripped into his pants, Thomas has never slept in here before, but it's likely that he wont ever sleep anywhere else after.

I took off my shoes as I took off my trousers and top before placing a spare top, large enough to cover my body down to my knees on.

I got in next to Thomas and turned to look at him

"This is surprisingly comfortable, what is it?" he asked

"When I first came up, I was send up with two sheep, one of them had babies and when I trimmed there coat, I collected enough to make this mattress, at first they sent up to many supplies so I was able to make this and my hut, I would have made one for everyone, but then it turned out I was the only girl, so it made sense that this was my way of privacy" I told him

"You are cute, and clever" he smirked

"Thank you, I do try" I laughed

"Hey, how come you never dated before me?" Thomas asked

"Well, mainly because I didn't want to seem like I was interested, and I didn't want it to be awkward if the relationship didnt' last, plus no one caught my eye until you" I smiled

Thomas didn't say anything, he just kissed me again 

The kiss was quick but it was all I needed.

I cuddled into Thomas and soon fell asleep, having the best night since I got here.
