First Person View

Your Point of View when Young

Young Mia: Psst! Y/n. Y/n!

You then started to wake up when your sister Mia calling your name. You fully wake up to see Mia and your brother Aiden watching the door just in case someone comes inside the room. You then sit up in your bed to look at Mia.

Young Mia: Are we running or what?

Young You: But... like, NOW?!

Young Mia: No. When we're old. Now, Y/n!

Young You: We need supplies!

Mia then showed you a backpack full of supplies all packed up.

Young Mia: Everything's ready.

You then looked around the room where it was quiet.

Young You: It's quiet... Where is everyone?

Young Mia: Maybe they're all dead?

Young You: (gets out of bed) (chuckles) You're stupid.

Young Aiden: Guys, someone's coming!

Aiden then returned to you and Mia and you all looked to see the door opening to see a guard entering the room, in a doctor's outfit.

Guard: Let's go. Now!

You, Aiden and Mia did what the guard said and followed him to the hallway of the hospital. It was a GRE hospital where they were testing young kids to try to find a cure for the virus. You, Aiden and Mia were a part of the that. Aiden went up ahead in front of you to look to your left to see Mia, who was nervous.

Young You: Shhh... it'll be alright.

You, Aiden and Mia kept on following the guard for him to lead you to the room. He opened the doors to see inside, there were more kids in the room that were waiting to be tested. You look behind you to see the guard closing the doors.

Guard: Wait here!

You, Aiden and Mia did what he said and he left to go to another room.

Guard: Nothing good will come of this.

Hazel: Have you brought 12-349?

Guard: We were supposed to take the patients back to the city.

Mia then went up to one of the doors to try and open it, bit it was locked. You went up to Mia to try to calm her down.

Young You: Don't worry. They'll let us go soon.

Young Mia: (scared voice) Y/n... I'm scared.

You and Mia sat down on the floor with for Aiden to do the same as well to sit next to her on her left.

Young You: Me and Aiden are here with you. You're safe with us.

Young Mia: I know. (leans in to your left shoulder)

Young Aiden: Everything will be okay, Mia.

You looked around the room to see all of the other kids were scared inside the room.

Hazel: Do what I tell you!

You saw the guard coming out of the other room to look at the other kids' faces looking for you. You then looked at Mia to tell her it was going to be okay.

Young You: Easy. (gently takes her arm to show the marks on your arm) See, sis? Even if they separate us, this is how we'll always find each other.

You looked at Mia to look at you as well. You then saw the guard grabbing you by your right wrist and pulled you up off the floor.

Young Mia: Y/n!

Aiden and Mia were trying to pull you away from the guard who grabbed your wrist.

Young Mia: Not him! Nooooooo!!!

Young Aiden: Let go of him!!!

The guard then pulled you away from your brother and sister.

Young You: Aiden! Mia!

Young Aiden and Mia: Y/n!!!!

You then saw the guard pulling you into the other room where you saw the doctor Hazel getting the syringes ready to test on you. The guard picked you up on the gurnee and strapped your arms and legs in.

Guard: Doctor Hazel... we won't make it. The military will be here any moment.

Hazel: (to guard) Wait! (to you) Close your eyes.

You didn't do what Hazel said and he injected the needle in your right shoulder.

Young You: Aaaah!

You were in pain, and everything was blurry. You then closed your eyes to wait for the pain to go away.

Guard: Fire! Fire in the lab!

You manage to escape Hazel to run out of the room to see everything was on fire. You were searching for Aiden and Mia, but you couldn't find them.

Young Mia: Y/n, this way!

Young You: Aiden? Mia?

You saw another kid is escaping the hospital, but it wasn't Mia.

Young You: Aiden!!! Mia!!!

Young Mia: Y/n!

You then saw the ceiling collapsed onto you for you to be unconscious.

Present

First Person View

Your Point Of View

You woke up from the dream you had about what happened that day in the hospital to see that it was daylight outside. You then got out of the bed to go the radio and sit down in the chair.

You: Time to contact the guy Spike was talking about.

You then turned on the radio to put the right frequency. You put the correct frequency of 140.200MHz. You then spoke on the microphone to talk to the person.

You: This is Y/n... I'm on frequency 140.200MHz.

Informant: (radio) Hello? Y/n?

You: Yes... I was supposed to get in touch with you.

Informant: (radio) Thought you'd changed your mind. Why are you looking for Hazel, Pilgrim?

You: To find my long lost siblings. Their names are Aiden and Mia. 15 years ago, we were in the hospital together and...

Informant: (radio) I know who you are looking for, Y/n. You want to know: why Hazel was doing those experiments on all of you. Why you are stronger... more durable than others.

You: (takes radio on desk and put it in the bag) I just wanna find Aiden and Mia. I've been looking for them since I left the survivors' camp.. Can you help me or not?

Informant: (radio) Maybe I can... Let's meet, Pilgrim.

You: Where and when?

Informant: (radio) Entrance to the metro tunnel by the bay. You can get inside the tunnels through an open GRE hatch. I'll meet you there.

You then turned off the broadcast radio and got up from the chair and contact the informant again on the radio you have with you.

You: I take it you're not doing this for free.

Informant: (radio) I have to leave the city, but I won't make it on my own outside.

You then opened a door to your right to exit out of the building to see the wilderness and the sun out.

Informant: (radio) Take me to New Paris and we're even. Along the way, I'll tell you everything I know. Over and out.

You: Wait! I have to at least know if they're alive!

Informant: (radio) They're alive. I'm going to the rendezvous. I'll see you later, Y/n.

(Music Playing)

You then started to move on to the destination where the informant told you to meet him. You then jumped across the roof of the building and jumped to the cliff-side of the wild and saw the big tall walls in the distance. You then saw a zipline that leads down. You jumped and hang on to the zipline and went down to the ground and got off the zipline and landed on your feet and kept on moving.

You went to the destination where the informant said on the radio to meet up with him in the GRE hatch in the metro tunnel, this is almost too easy for you to get into Villador. You saw a bridge that was out on the left side with a few cars on the bridge where you were looking at. You saw a garbage truck with a mattress and a few garbage bags in it. You jumped off the cliff and landed on the mattress in the garbage truck and got out of it to continue on forward to the destination to find the informant.

You then jumped off the bridge to land in the water to swim up to the surface swam across the lake to get to land at the end.

(Music End)

You then started to contact the informant on the radio.

You: Hello? It's Y/n. Can you hear me now?

Informant: (radio) (whispering) Loud and clear. That means you must be close.

You: I swam across the lake.

Informant: (radio) (whispering) So... you've almost reached the tunnels. There's an entrance. The only one the GRE left when they sealed off the city. I'm coming from the other side. Hurry up.

You: What's wrong?

Informant: (radio) (whispering) Hurry.

You then proceeded to find the informant to lead you into Villador. You went up the trail that leads up. There were a few Biters, but you didn't have time to fight them. You climbed up to the railing and went over it and jumped and climbed on a truck to jump onto the roof of a building.

You then followed a trail ahead to see that it leads to a tunnel where it was blocked off from the GRE an there were military vehicles around the place. It used to be a quarantine area, but now it was abandoned. There could be some infected inside the tunnels that don't like the sunlight.

You went to the right side to squeeze through a gap to get pass the barricaded area to see the tunnels. You went inside the tunnels and it was getting a bit dark. You then proceeded forward to contact the informant on the radio.

You: I'm entering the tunnels. Hey... can you hear me?

Informant: (radio) (whispering) I'll meet you soon. Here I come.

You then went inside the train to pry open the doors open and went through them. You then exited the train to be in a dark place where there was still a bit of light in there area to try and call the informant on the radio again.

You: Hey, is anybody there?

No response from the informant. You then crouched down to get through a bloody floor where there were skeletons on the tracks. You got back up to your feet and proceed forward.

You: Shit, this doesn't look good.

You went on through the train quickly and got back out of it to see that you were in some kind pit that there was blood everywhere, and guts ad well.

You: Oh my god...

You saw a door and went up to it to turn the handle to see it was unlocked, but it wasn't, the door was locked. You then bashed it with your shoulder to try and open it from the other side, but it was no use.You then heard a sound from above and looked up to see what that was. You then saw what made that noise.

You: Oh shit! Volatile!

The Volatile then jumped and landed on front of you for it to pounce on you, but you moved out of the way, but then the Volatile smacked you in the face and you went on the floor. You saw the Volatile jump in the air for you to move out of the way through it where it jumped in the to get back in the train to escape. The Volatile grabbed your left leg for you to trip on the ground.

The Volatile tried to finish you off for you to hold it back with your left hand on it's face, but then it bit you on the hand while there was blood coming out of your hand.

There was a purple light shining on the Volatile for it to be burn from the light. The Volatile fled from the light for you to see that it was the informant holding a UV bar and had some kind of glowing wristband on his right wrist. The informant went up to you to put down the UV bar to look at your left hand to see if you were okay, but you weren't. The informant helped you up off the ground for you to go through the door where you couldn't get through before and went on the ground.

You saw the informant closed the door to barricade it with a locker to hear the Volatile shriek from the other side of the door. The informant then went to check on you.

Informant: Are you alright?

You: Fucker bit me...

Informant: A Volatile. Lots of those fuckers in the sewers. (helps you up) You must get into the light quickly.

The Volatile started to bang on the door that was barricaded and started shrieking.

You: Where's Aiden and Mia?

Informant: Later. We have to move.

You: Ugh...

Your vision went blurry and it was getting blue veins on your face and you started to collapse on the ground.

Informant: Resist it. It'll pass.

You: Aaaaaaaargh!

The informant then held the barricade where the Volatile was banging on it.

Informant: Just stay strong.

You then blacked out from the pain on the ground.

Masked Thug 1: Here you are. We've been lookin' for you. And what about this one?

You then started to slowly open your eyes to see who was talking.

Masked Thug 2: Eh. Seems dead to me. Didn't have it on him. Let's go.

You saw a few men with masks that walked away from your body to black out again from the pain.

You opened your eyes to start to wake up and saw a flashlight next you. The informant must have dropped it when he left. You picked up the flashlight and got up to place it on your belt to turn it on to see in the dark, and you went to go find the informant. You were hearing voices up ahead, some of those people were talking about some sort of key or something.

You saw a wooden wall for you to use the bat on it to break through and went through the wall. You jumped on the monkey bar to swing yourself over and jumped off of it to get to the other side. You were hearing those bandits that were here hurting the informant, you have to hurry.

You jumped on the monkey bar with both of your hands to swing yourself and jumped to the next one and did the same. You felt the pain again from the bite wound and it went away quick. You then jumped into a ventilation system and crawled through it to her to the other side. While you were crawling, you saw and heard the bandits hurting the informant again and shouting at him to tell them where the key is, but what key are they talking about?

You saw the bandit kicking the informant on the ground with a UV light near him. You jumped down from the vent and got back up to your feet for the bandit to hear you and went up to you.

(Music Playing)

Masked Thug: You were supposed to be dead! Where did you hide our key, boy?!

You: I don't know what you're talking about. Let him go!

Masked Thug: You gonna make us let him go, punk?! I'd sure like to see you do that. Bring it!

The masked thug punched you in the face to back away and recover quickly after that for you to look at the masked thug with his own weapon out. The masked thug swing his weapon at you, but you got out your bat to perry his attack to get a few hit on on his head. The masked thug recoverd from the attack you sent at him to finish him off with a swing of your bat to the head to kill him.

You saw two more masked thugs kicking down a door and they started to come at you with their weapons. One of them swung their weapon at you, but you perry his attack swing the bat on his leg to knock him down bashed him in the head a few times and killed him. The other masked thug swing his weapon for you to dodge it and grabbed his arm to flip him over shoulder and did a powerful stomp on the masked thug's head breaking his neck.

(Music Paused)

You went to go check on the informant, but he was in a bad condition.

You: Who was that?

Informant: There's no time... In my pocket... I left you something...

You then searched the informant's pocket to see some kind of device in your hand that looks like a key.

You: Wh-what is this?

Informant: A GRE access key. The Peacekeepers... they found it. We cannot lose it.

You: You were gonna tell me what happened to my brother and sister. Where's Aiden and Mia?

Informant: You will go to 'Fish Eye'. There, ask for a girl named Lawan... Give that to her. With it, and her help, you'll learn... You will learn everything... Understand?! Protect it. If Hazel gets his hand on it, the whole city... Everyone will die!

You: Hazel? Is Hazel here?

Informant: He is. They're coming. You hear that? Renegades. Run!

You: We'll go together!

Informant: Take this...

The informant hands you a machete to take from him.

You: Alright, let's go.

You stand up to turn around to see more of the masked thugs now called Renegades.

Renegade 1: What the fuck?!

Renegade 2: There's our lost lamb, but he's not alone.

Renegade 1: We can fix that. Slaughter him!

(Music Resume)

The first Renegade swung his weapon at you for you to perry his attack to stagger him. You then vaulted over him and perform a vault kick at the other Renegade sending him flying at a railing breaking his neck and fell down dead. Another Renegade was coming at you for you to swing your machete at him to cut him and swung it on his neck to slice his head off dropped down dead. You then charged at the last Renegade for him to swing his weapon at you for you to block his attack and slit his throat with your machete to kick him on the ground dead from the blood loss.

(Music End)

You then heard a shriek that sounded like a Viral that was near by.

Informant: It's Hazel. Run! We have to run. Now!

You quickly went back to the informant to help him up to escape the tunnel.

Informant: Let's get the fuck out.

Radio: Tahir, are you there? Do you have my key?

Informant: It's Hazel. We have to run!

You: But I'm looking for him!

Informant: You idiot. He'll kill you if he finds you.

The informant went up ahead for you to follow him.

Hazel: Dylan!!!

That was Hazel's voice coming from the other side.

Dylan: Fuck... Get to the vent...

You and Dylan went to the vent for him to open it up for you.

Dylan: Quick... This way. You first!

You then crouched down to crawl in the vent to see if Dylan will follow you, bit he didn't. You turned around to see Dylan closing the vent and taking off the lock.

You: What are you doing?!

Dylan: Hazel can't get the GRE key, remember!

You: What? Let me out!

Dylan: Fish Eye. Lawan. Go!

Dylan then stood up to step away from the vent for him to see more Renegades.

Renegade 4: There's the traitor!

Renegade 5: Hi, Dylan.

Dylan: (laughs and coughs) Hey, fellas.

The Renegade then punched Dylan so hard in the stomach to make him get on the ground to kick him. Another Renegade just watched the other Renegade beat Dylan to death. You then saw the man himself, Hazel.

Hazel: Let him go.

You then crawled quietly to see Hazel talking to Dylan on his knees.

Hazel: Why did you betray me?

Dylan: This key is not yours. You can't...

Hazel: Where is it?

Dylan then stood up on his knees pat his stomach.

Dylan: In here.

Hazel then stood up to his feet and punched Dylan in the face sending him flying and hitting the vent where you were hiding in.

Hazel: This is the end. I'm sorry.

Dylan: Gettin' misty?

Hazel: Not really. You're only dying. Before Zero Hour, my grandfather raised horses. Beautiful, rare breeds. I loved them dearly. One day his beloved horse fell off the slope and broke his leg. I thought Grandpa would help him. But he pulled out his pistol... And put it in my hand. He told me: you're doing it for him. Then he pressed my finger on the trigger. (grabs a sharp object) I screamed. I wanted my grandfather to die. But years later, I realized. (squats down to Dylan) What must be done, must be done. You leave me no choice, my friend.

Hazel then stabbed Dylan with the sharp object to cut open his stomach to find the key and there was blood everywhere coming out of him. The infection in you triggered again in the vent.

You: Argh...

Hazel: Someone's here... In the vent! Get him!

You then quickly exited the vent to escape Hazel and the Renegades. You then barricaded the vent hatch to stop anyone that were coming after you. You then started to run and vault over an obstacle and continue to run and not stopping. The platform then collapsed for you to slide down.

You: No... No, no, no, no!

You then fell into the water and started to swim through a train that was underwater to get to Villador and escape. You then swam through a hole to reach the surface and get out of the water. You continued your way further into an underground chapel that was flooded. The infection in you triggered again.

You: Damn! Ugh, that hurts!

You continued to fight the infection and proceed down further into the chapel and swam under the water again to quickly reached the surface and get some air. The infection triggered again for you to have another seizure to fight it again for it to go away.

You: What's happening?

You continued on to get to a ladder that leads to a hatch. You then climbed up the ladder in a weak position and opened the hatch to be inside some kind of church.

You climbed out of the hatch when you were weak and stood up from the ground. You were limping and you had a another seizure again to limp on a wood wall and saw a few people that were in front of you. They noticed you were about to turn in this state.

Bazaar Man: Who the fuck is this?

You: (weak) Please... Help me...

Bazaar Woman: He doesn't have a biomarker.

You: A what?! (gets another seizure) Oh, fuck...

You then collapsed on the ground again.

Bazaar Woman: He's fucking turning!

Bazaar Man 1: Kill him! Quick!

Bazaar Man 2: No! Hang him! Let's watch the fucker die!

You closed eyes for a moment, then you opened him again for you to be dragged on the ground by two people.

You: No, no, no! Wait, wait, wait!

Bazaar Man 4: Get him, dammit, get him!

You then saw a girl with yellow hair stopping one of the folks from dragging you.

Yellow Girl: What the hell are you doing to him?!

Bazaar Man 6: He needs to be hanged! He doesn't have a biomarker, and he's turning!

Yellow Girl: And that's his problem?! He just got here!

Bazaar Man 6: This I none of your business, Yang! Now get out of the way!

The two folks then dragged you to a rope and put it around your neck and tie it.

You: Fuck, what did I do...?

Bazaar Man 7: Die, fucker!

You then were pulled up on the rope in the air for you to be choke on the rope for these people to kill you, but you just got in the church. You then closed your eyes for everything to end right in front of you. You then opened your eyes to someone trying to save you.

Man: Leave him the fuck alone!

The man then threw a knife at the rope to cut you down to hit the ground and the man came up to you an helped you up to your left arm around his left shoulder.

Bazaar Man 8: Hakon! He's about to turn!

Hakon: That his problem? Thought it was a sneezing fit.

Bazaar Man 8: But he's an outsider! He must be killed!

Hakon: He's with me, you got that? (to you) Didn't I tell you not to go anywhere without me? Didn't I fucking tell you?

The man named Hakon then helped you get out of the church.

You: (weak) Who the fuck are you...?

Hakon: They'll tear you apart. Sssh. Not now.

You blacked out again from the infection inside of the from taking over.

You then opened your eyes again to see that you were in some kind of workshop.

Hakon: Jana, get the inhibitors!

Jana: Who the fuck is it?

Hakon: Just hurry, will you?! Bring em' here!

Hakon then held you down to get the object called an inhibitor to inject it into your system. You then put your hand on Hakon's face to fight him, knowing that you were turning and pushed him off of you.

Hakon: Ah, fuck... you prick... fuckin' prick!

You then got up from the ground and ran ar the woman, but then you hit by baseball bat to the face and you got knocked out on the ground.

You then started to open your eyes to see that your hands were tied up to see one of the women working. You then saw the women with a bat who saw you were waking up.

Sarah: He's moving! Hakon! (gives bat to Hakon) Kill him, Hakon! Kill him before I do it for you.

Hakon: Whoa, whoa. Relax. Breathe.

Hakon then pulled your left eye socket open to check on you.

Hakon: Seems he hasn't turned. (let's go of eye socket)

Sarah: 'Seems'? Hakon, I don't want... that... here.

Hakon: (to you): You've come back to us. Blink of you understand.

You then blinked and felt that your head was hurting.

You: Fuck, my head. (sits up)

Hakon: You were on the verge of turning, but UV light and inhibitors pulled you back. Eh. The bat helped, too, of course. (puts down bat) You're alive. (cuts off your cuffs) Let's keep it that way.

Sarah: Guy almost kills us all and you're chatting him up?

Hakon: Girls, relax. (to you) They're frightened. You almost destroyed their workshop. We need to move out. Can you walk? (stands up)

You: But I... don't understand. Where're we going?

Hakon: To a safe place...

You: I gotta get to the Fish Eye.

Hakon: The Fish Eye? Without a biomarker, you won't get near it.

You: What the hell is that?

Hakon: Biomarker? Monitors the disease's progression in the dark. That's your ticket into the city. Without it... Stepping out of the light is sort of a lottery. You don't know when you turn. You need a biomarker and I know where to find one. Come on.

Hakon lends you a hand and you took it for him to pull you up off the floor. You then felt another seizure triggering inside of you for you to collapse on the floor again.

Sarah: Fuck, Hakon! He's turning again!

Hakon: Relax. Everything's under control. It'll be fine. You're weak. Take a minute. (hands out water bottle) Drink.

You took the water bottle from Hakon and open the cap to drink some of the water and gave it back to Hakon to put it back in his bag.

Jana: Seriously? What next should we draw him a bath?

Hakon: Sounds cozy to me ladies. Hmmm... maybe next time.

Jana: Get bent, Hakon.

Hakon: (to you) She adores me.

Hakon went to a stove to heat up a kettle for you to stand up to go to him.

You: Why are you helping me?

Hakon: Let's get to know each other and find out. (turns off stove) You go first. Where'd you get all those?

You look at the marks on your right hand.

You: None of your business.

Hakon: You're careful. Good... you'll live longer. You a real Pilgrim? Or just steal that badge?

You then heard bells ringing outside to look out the window that was boarded up.

You: I'm a... I was a Pilgrim.

Hakon looks out the window to see the sun was setting.

Hakon: An hour to dusk.

Sarah: I'm serious, Hakon. He's not staying the night here.

Hakon: Here. Your weapon and your radio.

Hakon hands you a pipe and your radio for you to take it to place the radio on your belt and put the pipe in your bag.

Hakon: Not even a Pilgrim could get by without that. Come on. Let's go.

Hakon walks to take the bat from Sarah and walked out the door to wait for you. You then went up to Sarah to try and talk to her.

You: It's a nice place.

Sarah: Don't get comfortable. We don't need another roommate. Especially one that could rob us while sleeping.

You: Not every Pilgrim is a criminal, you know.

Sarah: Uh-huh...

You: You have a nice workshop here. Assembling UV lamps, huh?

Sarah: Yeah. You shouldn't be here. Hakon's risking OUR asses!

You then talked to Jana to start a conversation.

You: Sorry... guess I scared ya, huh?

Jana: Felt better after I hit you. We're even. Jana.

You: Y/n. What is this place?

Jana: Our home, our workshop. Our whole world, you might say.

You: You're nicer than she is. (looks at Sarah)

Jana: Hey! Back off.

You then looked back at Jana.

Jana: Doesn't trust anyone, but me. Besides, I'm a better fighter than she is, so I can afford to be more open.

You then walked away from the two women to try and relax for a bit before moving out.
