Donnatella "Donna" or "DVF" Von Fanger, the last vampire of the Von Fanger coven on the Mourian planet of Ter-Ra (the tech planet), has to deal with many things: hatred from the le Loup wolf pack... hatred from the many inhabitants of Ter-Ra that think she's still the vicious, ruthless, killer she once was... and on top of everything else, she has to take responsibility for her newly created coven; she has to keep them from drinking human blood because of a promise she made to the "Council of Wizard Elders (COWE)" after starting her own animal blood diet.

      After she receives vicious threats from various members of the le Loup family, fury takes over her body. Then, when she gets a visit from Jonathan "John" le Loup, a le Loup werewolf who wants to make peace with her, Donna's fury causes her to take him hostage. After a week, however, the le Loups find out that she's taken John, fueling the fire of the centuries-old le Loup/Von Fanger feud. What they don't know is that, during that week, Donna had eventually fallen in love with John - hard. That the vampire and the werewolf did more than just kiss...
