This is the end of DTB 1!

Thanks for making it this far. I appreciate everyone who took the time to read my first ever completed story on Wattpad. I unpublished this story many times in the past because of the numerous rude comments I received but I put it back up despite the risk and bad memories because so many of you have messaged me that you want to read the story again and I want to show my love and respect to you.

I'd like to thank you for giving this story a chance. DTB is a story from 2012. I grew up with it and so many scenes here are reminiscent of my own youth. There are plenty parts in the story that I want to revise na because I either no longer believe in them or I don't write that way anymore, but the ending will always remain the same.

Wala po talagang end game si Javee sa book 1 because she's young, they're young, and their wrong decisions in life led them to this situation. A relationship is not what she needs in this story but growth and realizations about herself, her attachment to her family, and her view of herself as a budding woman. I think it's fitting kasi DTB was never about the end games or relationships but Javee's growth as a young lady. It's a story about her life and that includes all the people that entered and left her life.

I know that's disappointing to many and I'm really sorry for writing it this way. May book 2 po ang DTB pero tulad ng na-announce ko before. 'Di pa rin po si Racel ang end game. There are plenty of reasons why but rest assured that all the characters got what they needed at the end of their story kahit na hindi yon necessarily about getting the relationships they wanted. There's so much more to life than ending up with a young love.

Why am I sharing the ending of DTB 2 here? Kasi po I'm no longer posting it in its entirety anymore. Toxic po kasi masyado nagiging readers ng DTB and it broke me several times. I don't have the mental capacity to deal with all of them right now because I'm still in the middle of healing.

That said, I might revisit the DV series again someday when I'm much better, so let's see.

Ano po ang inspiration niyo sa DV boys?

My uncles. My cousins. My classmates. My bestfriends. All of them.

Mahilig ka po ba sa happy ending?

A misconception about me. Di po dahil may book 2, happy ending na. I write for the journey, not the ending. That doesn't mean I love tragic endings either. I write based on my visions, what I see, what I think is right, what is consistent to the characters. I write based on what the story wants and needs. In short, the story writes itself. Kung ang story ay nag-end sa happy ending, dahil doon yon napadpad. Not because I wanted to. I'm not a cruel writer either. I won't make readers cry just for the sake of it or para masabi na iba ako. I just write for what I feel is right. I don't use my characters as plot devices. Never po. Sadyang DTB is really just a story about Javee and the men she met in her life.

Yes! Feel good nalang ang DTB 2. No worries :)

Ano po priority mo among the priorities?

Finishing my epistolary series. Then I'll jump back to Te Quiero and the DV series after.

Sino po favorite characters mo sa DTB?

Mathev, Andrei, & Jacob. Then of course, Racel and Angelo.

Ano po inspiration niyo sa DTB?

My daydreams for it. It wrote itself. I didn't plan a single thing unless fillers or tying up loose ends.

Paano po writing process niyo?

I go deep into the characters' mind to know their flaws, motivations, fears and reasoning. I write based on what I see in my surroundings. DTB is the culmination of what I experienced and saw during Highschool and College. Yung sinasabi niyong cliche, nangyari yon one way or another to people I know :)

Bakit si Hiromi? Bakit nahuli? Ang cliche po

Because it happened to someone I know. Cliche but it happens and it's reflective of the reality I know.

Racel or Angelo?

Trap question. Can't answer this kasi sa totoo lang, both of them are my ideal type. Racel encapsulates the introvert in me while Angelo breathes life to the adventurous and conyo side of me.

Ikaw po ba si Javee?

Nope. Javee, although similar to me, is vastly different for numerous reasons. We have different values and beliefs. It's fair to say I was inspired by my aunt dahil siya ang totoong One of the boys sa family.

Ano favorite scene mo sa DTB?
