Icy battle
Omega's POV
Long ago... John was a friend. When I left I thought I would be glad the day I see him fall. But I didn't feel anything but pain and sadness. I still kept my distance, I don't know how, but I could feel Battle Hawk's pain. I turned around to face the Ice King. The monster in me got out. I was some what how citizens here described as. Although I personally think I'm more like a cat than a snake. Instead of killing fast I preferred to toy with my food. The first strike was with a poisoned claw to slow the reaction time of the victim, after that it was play time. The "meal" would be allowed the chance to run, to feel the pounding of their own heart just a few more times and then I' would sank my claws into their neck - just deep enough to let them bleed out slow. The revolution didn't care that I made myself present. Citizens did, I could mothers and children in the corner looking at me frightened. I wasn't going to hurt them. But I couldn't blame them. I am a monster myself... After all, I should know, when I still lived in my planet I swallowed that anger when it was a fire-seed and forgot to drink something cool, and so it grew in me until it came out as hot as any dragon has ever flamed... on the person I loved most. I'll never forget her eyes, the same look in those citizens now. How that fire burnt her to ash. She loved my sparks of passion, the way I sizzled even in the rain, but that inferno was more than her heart could manage. I had bigger things to focus on. The Ice King attempted to get closer to John again. Not in my watch. Raven helped me attack but a sudden blue ish light appear. I didn't completely looked at it. I decided to close my eyes and trust my other senses. When I finally opened my eyes again. That light wasn't shining anymore. I caught Raven staring at the light. He didn't look away? Sometimes was different. His eyes were... blue? He turned around to me and tried to blast me. Ravage helped me distract him and soon I was on my way to get that son of a bitch. I heard a loud roar. When I turned around it seemed like the Ice King decided to take his kitty out for some action.
It would have been easier if it was the size of a normal lion. Instead, that thing was huge. Besides I was still freezing, but my anger boiling had kept me distracted from the cold.
A string of curses unraveled from his tongue, like yarn unfurling, as the creature advanced. It's icy fur shimmered with hot anger along with it's blue dark, cold eyes. Every step it took rattled his bones and struck his heart. I tried to dodge a swing from it's massive claws, but it struck my side and I tumbled into the snow. I could hear nothing all was silenced, the yells of the audience, the roars of the creature, all inaudible. All I could do is feel. Feel the cold ground pressed against my form, the heat from the pain. I fought valiantly, and prayed that my ancestors would accept me and take me home. I closed my eyes as I felt a searing pain.
