It's Me

||Olivia's POV||

I was looking out the window. I watched how the sun shone through the trees outside the hotel. I froze as I heard the doors open and close. I slowly turned around.
Seeing the guy was like having a major déjà vu.
I felt uncomfortable as he kept staring at me intensely.
"Julia? Is this... is this really you?" He asked carefully and I frowned. I noticed that the guy in front of me was very handsome and muscular. He had messy brown hair and stormy grey eyes, a sharp jawline and full lips. I felt like I've seen him before but I'm not sure anymore.
Before I could say anything I was pulled into the tightest hug ever. I couldn't help but notice that he smelled good.
"It's you. It really is you... I've missed you so much." He whispered into my hair and I frowned. I broke the hug.
"I'm sorry... do I know you?"
He immediately took a step back.
"Julia, it's me, Kayden." He said and I frowned.
"I'm sorry, I think this is a huge misunderstanding... my name is Olivia Roberts and I've been kidnapped, please just help me get back home." I begged and he looked really confused and... hurt.
"Julia what are you talking about? You've been missing for over a year, everyone's been looking for you... I've been looking for you." He tried to explain but it just made me angry.
"First of all, my name isn't some Julia. Maybe I look like her but my name is Olivia Roberts. I am 17 years old and I live with my parents on Harrison Street. I haven't been missing from anywhere and I have no idea what this place is and who you people are. I just wanna get back home because my parents are probably worrying about me, and I just wanna forget about this. I just wanna get out of here..." I explained loudly and clearly and the guy- Kayden looked hurt.
"Don't you remember... me, you, us? Anything?"
"How can I remember something that never happened? You've got the wrong girl for gods sake!"
Before I knew it his lips were on mine and his hands on both my cheeks.

||Kayden's POV||
I didn't believe her. I couldn't. I knew it was her. Her hair, her skin, her eyes. There was no other Julia and I've never been more sure about something like I am now.
It's my Julia. She's back.
I still feel hurt as she said she didn't remember me, or us... we've known each other for nearly our whole lives. A witch could erase her memory and replace it with a new one, but we had something so strong no magic could make it go away permanently.
I had to see if she really didn't remember. If she really didn't feel what I felt.
So I kissed her.
I held her delicate cheeks and pressed her soft lips against my own, and it felt like you finally found something you've been looking for your whole life... like I held the most precious thing in the world. Because she is the most precious thing in my world. And I never stopped loving her.

||Olivia's POV||

I mentally slapped myself for kissing him back. But it felt like I didn't have any control over my own body. And it... it felt good.
When I finally woke up from my conscious unconsciousness I quickly took a step back and slapped him so hard my hand hurt.
He took it like a man.
He looked at me and I didn't regret it for a second.
"What the hell do you think you're doing?!" I shouted and he... smiled.
Before anyone could say anything the doors opened. The dark woman came in again.
"Mrs Smith." Kayden greeted and looked down in respect.
"Kayden, Abra will be here any minute so see Julia." She stated and I frowned.
"You mean the Abra?" Kayden asked impressed.
"Yes, we're sure she'll find the problem why Julia can't remember anything. Now, excuse me." She said and took a look at me before leaving. I turned to Kayden.
"You guys are mental. How many times am I supposed to say this... I'm no Julia! And who the hell is this Abra chick?" I exclaimed, frustrated.
Kayden sighed.
"This 'Abra chick' is one of the most powerful witches in the state, and one of the oldest. Not many people get to see her."
"Wait... did you say 'witches'?" I said chuckling while he looked at me seriously.
"Yes, witches, vampires... and we're the Fighters. We fight against the vampires. And you're one of us, and you're one of the best Fighters this Shelter has ever seen."
I laughed.
"I can barely stand gym at school and you're telling me stories how I kill... vampires? You must be pretty delusional." I chuckled and his face hardened.
"I'm not delusional, Julia-"
"Don't fucking call me Julia!" I shouted angrily.
"Okay, Olivia." He said sassily and sarcastically.
"I want you to tell me all about your imaginary parents, Olivia."
"They are real and probably worrying about me right now because you criminals kidnapped me and locked me in this freaking room!"
Kayden looked down and back at me. He took a deep breath.
"You don't have parents, Olivia. They died when you were 3 in a fire. Whoever is in this fake home of yours, are not your parents. And definitely not your friends." He said calmly and took a step towards me.
"You're full of crap. The only fake thing here is what you're saying. I don't ever wanna see you or anyone from here ever again. Now let me out of here, or I promise you, you'll end up in jail." I hissed at him and he just looked away, irritated. He took a few steps away from me, and looked out the window. He was facing away from me, and I saw it as my chance.
I quickly grabbed a small, metal, circled chair from under a desk and hit him in the head as hard as I could. His head hit the wall on the way and he immediately fell on the floor.
I hope he's not dead.
I dropped the chair with shaky hands and headed for the doors. I thanked god that that scary lady didn't lock them. I ran down the corridor and down the stairs until I was on the first floor. I remembered the way when they dragged me in here, so I ran as quickly as possible out of the building.
And then, when I finally breathed fresh air, I ran home.
