What Happens When Your Caught

This chapter is dedicated to LivieValentine because, 1) she's a great author, 2) She's adorable and extremely nice, and 3) INTERNET BUDDIES! Those are stupid reasons but oh well.
Now, next chapter there is going to be a mini fight scene, and frankly, I can't do fight scenes {I suck at them big time} So if anyone wants to help me write it, leave a comment or PM m. If I get more than one person I'll give the 'winner' (if you can say that) I shoutout next chapter when I say who helped with the fight scene. (If anyone helps at all)
----Story----

I pulled on my white cloaks end, panic overwhelming every inch of my body. The half was caught in between two roots of a tree. How it got there, I don't know.

What I do know, is that if I don't get away soon they'll block the borderline of the city, and get help...

Screw this!! Unclipping the pin around my neck, I let my now mud covered cloak, fall to the ground, leaving me in nothing but my brown riding pants, light grey blouse, and a leather vest, as well at my familiar worn black riding boots.

My silver eyes dashed to look for anywhere to hide, incase the townsfolk caught up to me, as my feet tiredly carried me through the thick woods.

Realization sunk in, when I remembered I left my grey coloured horse--Steel-- around the back of the barn I slept in...

I mentally face palmed myself for my stupidity, not bothering to push away my red bangs from my eyes, knowing that the force of the wind would push it away for me eventually.

I skidded to a stop, jabbing the heel of my boot into the dirt ground, causing me to stop almost immediately. The townsfolk were already ahead of me....

Fuck... Biting a my tongue, I mentally sighed, running back towards the barn I had slept in. My steps were silent compared to the rumbling thunder above me, signalling that rain would be coming soon.

Great. I loose my cloak, I'm trapped in this village, I'll most likely have to fight mages, it's going to rain, and I don't have my horse. Great just great.

Coming to a halt, so did my breath as I saw what was in front of me. My horse... Steel. My only companion..was dead. Bleeding out and staining the already dried grass.

Damn these people... I sighed, biting my lip to hold back tears as I entered the barn. My head in my knees, cuddled near a lump of hay, I let the tears out.

I honestly couldn't handle loosing anymore family.... And to think, if only I hadn't created that apple, then the little boy wouldn't have seen it, and I wouldn't be in this situation. I adjusted the strap of my satchel, so it fit more comfortable around my torso.

Oh she's Dusk! That's the Dark Mage Dusk! Have you heard that she's killed over thousands of people? She goes from town to town robbing people is what I heard.... Dusk...that monster doesn't deserve to have any magic power,..let alone live for its crimes.

I calmed my breath and stood up, wiping the awful memories from my mind, for hopefully a while. I walked towards the back of the barn, where there was a giant hole in the rotting wood of the ceiling. I hadn't realized that it had started raining until I felt the drops on my calmed face.

I knew it..... My fists clenched unconsciously. I knew I should have never come back to this city....

Letting out a sigh, I truly began to look over the barn. Decided that I should regain the magic energy I lost when creating the apple --and a fruit basket earlier today-- just incase they did call any wizards...

This city has always been bad luck.. Setting my head on a newly made bunch of hay, I closed my eyes, preparing to be taken by sleep. After all....this is where it all started....

When the darkness surrounded me I welcomed it, a calmness in it, I felt the lost magic seep back inside me, ever so slowly. This town is the reason I'm called a monster...

Why I was given the name Dusk, a darker age of darkness.

~FairyTail~

The guild doors slammed open, causing most heads to spin towards the loud booming sound. A random man ran in, brown eyes full of fear.

He soon collapsed after only a few feet after entering.

The guild surrounded the man. "My Children!! Give the man some space!!!" The guild mates that weren't on jobs, backed away from the stranger.

The Guild master --Makarov-- walked towards the panicking man. "Spit it out!"

The man looked up with fearful eyes. "Th-the-the dar-dark Mage...D-d-d-dusk!!! In-in-in ou-our vill-village!!" He yelled, causing the guild members to stiffen.

"Dusk!?" Makarov was in shock. The said to be deadly dark Mage 'Dusk' hadn't been seen in over 2 years.

"Master, we should send a team out immediately." A scarlet haired warrior stated, eyeing the panicking man.

"O-Of course...Natsu, Lucy, Erza, Gray, Wendy! Get going immediately!!" Makarov switched his position and waited for the man to stand, which he did.

"What city is it?" The guild Master tapped his foot impatiently, thinking about all the lives that could possibly be lost.

"R-Rethsis." The man stuttered. Makarov nodded to the team he had called out, watching the 5 of his children walk out the guild doors.

~At The Barn~

"Pearl was it?" The young red haired girl spun around, silver eyes darting up towards the voice. The young 11 year old froze up at the surprisingly calm tone.

She nodded her head, gripping the edge of checkered sleeves tightly. The man smiled, his dark maroon hair titling with his head.

A stubble clearly laid on the mans face, from lack of shaving most likely. His flashy onyx eyes gave her a look a comfort, even though this man was a complete stranger.

"You're still all alone?" Pearl nodded, not remembering ever talking to him before, but continuing as if she has.

He extended his hand towards the young girl, pity written in his eyes. "Come with me..I'll teach you Duplication magic, and you can join my family." The small girl smiled, and nodded hesitantly.

She followed the man, and he brought her to a cabin not far out of town. "Now, do you know how duplication magic works?" He asked, as the short girl sat at the wooden table in front of him. She shook her head, confused.

"Well, do you know how alchemy works by, knowing all the resources in an object, and what makes up those resources, or in other words, deconstructing an object bit by bit." The young Pearl seemed to think a bit, before nodding, understanding what he spoke of.

"Well, you need that step to be able to preform duplication magic," The little girls eyes were focused, intent on learning more.

"Let's say, you want to make...a sword." He started, extending his hand. "You'd need to know what materials make up the sword you want to make, and what's makes up those materials." She nodded, silver eyes narrowed.

A light buzz came from his hand, and soon, a sword appeared in his hand. The man griped it and swung, hitting the leg of the table and causing a dent.

"Whoa..." Pearl smiled brightly, her yellow teeth out on display. The man chuckled, the sword disappeared, and he walked towards a bookshelf, pulling out a thick dusty book. He blew the dust off and headed back to the young redhead.

He placed the book in front of her onto the table, with a loud Thud! "Read this, and find the description of a wooden sword. Look at the materials in it."

The little girl opened the book, looking in the table of contents before flipping to the right page. "It says that most wooden items are made up of wood only." She shrugged.

The man sat down across from her, turning the book back to the table of contents. "And wood comes from trees. Now look up what makes up a tree." She nodded, turning to the right page again.

"It says there's...carbon, hydrogen, oxygen, nitrogen, phosphorus and sulfur."

He nodded. "Do you think you can break those up even more my dear Pearl?" She looked at the pages blankly, as if thinking, before she flipped to the glossary.

Looking at the words she saw moments ago, she shook her head. "You can't." He smiled at her.

"Now you know what makes up a wooden sword...so try and make it," He started. "Hold out your hands and concentrate, imagine that you're putting together the sword piece by piece okay?"

She nodded fiercely, closing her eyes, and extending her palms. A faint silver light flickered in her palms. After moments a small sliver of wood appeared in her hand.

Feeling the small object appear, she opened her eyes. The sliver was about the size of her thumb. She picked it up and huffed.

"That's not a sword." He laughed at her expression, onyx eyes coming to life.

"But it's amazing for your first try!" Her mouth tilted upwards.

"Yeah!" She smiled brightly, looking at the man again. "Mr?" She asked.

He replied with a hum. "What do I call you? You call me by my name." He returned the little girls look, before hugging her tightly.

"Call me Daddy." Pearl smiled, and hugged back.

"I've never had a Dad before!" She laughed.
~
I woken up with the fierce thumping of my heart against my chest as an alarm. A layer of cold sweat appeared on my skin, and I have a heavy sigh, running a hand through my bangs, and down my head. Another damn flashback...

I stopped when I noticed that on my lap was my white cloak. I thought I left that in the woods... Slowly, I picked the fabric up.

Unlike before, the cloak was pure white, like how it appeared when she first made it, and it didn't have the familiar rips at the ends.

I smiled warily, not sure where it came from, but stood up none the less, clipping it on.

It's the perfect length...? Raising a brow, I decided to keep it, seeing as though I'd probably have to lay low for a bit, before I could buy new fabric to make my own.

Looking out the broken wooden barn doors, I saw that the once hustling and bustling town, was now so silent you could most likely hear a pen drop. The rain must've stopped a while ago...

I chuckled struggling between opening the door now or waiting until later. The place was deserted anyways, so why shouldn't I go now?

A sad smile grazed my lips. This is what happens when you get caught idiot... I though to myself, slowly opening the creaky door.
