Ava
"Hi, amor."
I couldn't see him, but I knew he was scowling. "That's for me to call you. Don't ever call me that."
I chuckled. "I'm taking you out tonight."
"I'm pretty sure it's supposed to be the other way round."
"Men are so stereotypical." I rolled my eyes, grateful and ungrateful at the same time because he couldn't see me. "I got two tickets to the carnival tonight. Do you have them? No. So it has to be me who has to take you out. You're driving though."
Elias let out a laugh. "When should I pick you up?"
"Probably like 7 or something. I'd tell you to dress sexy but you look sexy whatever you wear, so just bring yourself."
He chuckled again. "Of course. I'll see you then. Don't miss me too much, amor."
I was still smiling by the time he hung up and put the phone on the table. And the smile was still there when Isabella walked into the kitchen, yawning. She was wearing only a shirt, her hair messy and I knew that was not from sleep. "Rough night?" I asked, biting into an apple.
"Jett left early this morning, had to give him something to remember by." She grinned. "So, a date huh?"
"Yeah."
She scowled. "You and my brother going on a date? I'm going to need much more than a yeah, Ava. Elaborate."
I chuckled. "We're exploring."
"Exploring what?"
"Us. I don't know. We're taking things slow, trying things out. Spend time together, do things together, kinda like that."
"So it's serious?" She widened her eyes, blinking them comically.
"It's real. I'd denied the existence of an obvious connection between us for a long time, even though deep down I knew it was there. He has never given up. So I'd say it is."
She blinked again, making sure I was being serious. Then she squeaked. "Fucking finally. I had been tired of waiting, I can't imagine Eli's patience."
"This was probably one of the very few things he was patient about." I shook my head and smiled. "But that's what made this possible."
"Aw look at you all cute and blushy." She pinched my cheeks, getting up and opening the fridge. "Now we can go on a double date."
I stiffened. "Jett doesn't know yet."
"But he will, eventually." She turned around. "You'll tell him, right? Bonita, if you both are serious about each other you have to tell him."
"I know, we will. I just don't know how to."
"I'm definitely not the right person to ask that." She giggled. "But if it's any consolation, Jett and I put Elias in the same situation five years ago. And leaving all the drama that day, Eli did get used to the fact that we were together. It may take a few days but it'll be alright, Ava. At the end of the day he is your brother and only wants your happiness."
I nodded. Jett wasn't the overly protective brother who beat up the first guy I dated. He knew I was capable enough to make my own choices. He looked out for me like I did for him. We didn't keep secrets from each other, well leaving this one, which I would tell him when he came back. He'd be shocked, but he'll get over it.
Work was stressing. There were way too many egotistical men in this company and they were getting on my nerves. Some men weren't, who actually understood the concept of gender equality and feminism, and clever enough to not upset the boss. By the evening, the only thing keeping me going was seeing Elias. I would have dropped if not that.
"No, that is not how it works."
"She'll tell me how it works." Fred chuckled, looking at his team. "Listen, you may be junior partner, but I've been heading the sales department for six years. I know how it works better than you do."
"Pity they still didn't make you partner. That means you aren't doing your job well, right?" I raised an eyebrow. "And yes, I will tell you how it works. Because that is my job and I tend to do it very well."
He scoffed, looking away. These people were testing my patience. I was fuming when I returned back to my office, grabbing my bag and leaving the office. I had a sudden urge to talk to Elias and I checked the time. It was still 5:45, and I reached my house in another fifteen minutes. Lying down on the bed, I stared at the ceiling. Fuck. People.
It was 6:30 when I got up to get ready. I didn't choose anything fancy since we were going to the carnival, a pair of black ripped jeans and a crop top. Throwing my hair into a ponytail, and tying the laces of my sneakers, I was applying a thin coat of lip gloss when the doorbell rang.
Elias looked beautiful. He always did. He was clad in a black ripped jeans like mine, a black t-shirt hiding his chest from my sight, the black leather jacket also hiding his arms. A silver chain hung around his neck, gleaming in the lights as he rested his hand against my door, giving me a once over. "I'd say you look gorgeous," He said, licking his bottom lip. "But you always do."
Biting back a chuckle, I stepped aside to let him in. The moment he closed the door behind him, his hands grabbed my wrists and pushed me against the wall, his lips crashing down on mine as he held my wrists on either side of my head, then pushing them up. Our tongues battled for dominance and he tilted his head to deepen the kiss, running his palms down my body to give my ass a squeeze, then wrap around my waist.
"I like this greeting." I breathed against his lips. "Do it every time you see me."
"Making demands, are we? Two days without sex and you forget who's in charge." He murmured.
"Pity you can't remind me." I said back to him.
"I'm keeping count of your misbehaviour, Ava." He stepped back. "And it's not been too good these days."
"What can I say? My bratty side comes out when I'm not reminded regularly. You should know." I smiled ironically.
His mouth turned up, and suddenly his fingers were around my neck in a death grip, enough for me to breathe, but let me know he could choke my oxygen supply anytime he wanted. My gasp was cut short when he pulled my jaw, grazing his thumb on my lower lip. "Open." He said quietly.
I opened my mouth and he shoved his thumb inside, making me moan against it. He pulled it out as soon he had pushed it again, tugging my bottom lip with his forefinger. "The simplest of things, Ava." He murmured. "You give up control for the simplest of things. Your brat comes out to tempt me, but you're always ready to submit. You always know who's in charge."
I closed my eyes when he stepped back, calming my erratic heartbeat. That was nothing compared to the sex, but it was too damn hot. I could still feel his thumb inside my mouth and I took a deep breath, opening my eyes when I was sure my vagina remembered she wasn't supposed to be active for another five days.
"Shall we?" He raised an eyebrow, smirking softly when he saw my expression.
I cleared my throat, nodding. Grabbing the jacket I'd kept on the couch, he wrapped an arm around my waist and walked us out. Opening the door for me to his car, I gave him an amused look as I slid in. He sat in front of the wheel, raised an eyebrow at me, then we were off.
We reached our destination in another ten minutes. It was crowded and busy, and Elias tightened his hand around mine as we walked inside. I saw him grin from the corner of my eye, and when he pulled my hand and dragged me to the roller coaster, I started to realise how bad of an idea this was. "No."
"Yes."
"No."
He frowned, turning around. "Please?"
I opened my mouth to deny again but when his frown turned into a pout, I knew what games he was playing with me. He grinned when I didn't say anything, pulling me forward. The line was too damn long, and I thanked my stars because I didn't think Elias had that much patience to stand in the line.
But he did. He waited fifteen fucking minutes to get on that damn roller coaster. Now that I think about it, he probably did it only to annoy me. He didn't even like roller coasters that much.
I wanted to wipe that smug smile off his face when we were strapped in. I was about to to say something when the roller coaster took off, first slow, then fast. My mouth opened up to scream when we dropped down, and I shut my eyes tight.
My legs were wobbly when we got down. Elias held my waist, holding me till I gained all of my senses and could balance myself. He cupped my cheeks and searched my face, letting go when he found what he'd been looking for. Pressing a kiss to my forehead, his eyes lit up when they stopped on the candy counter. Elias and candy. I still found that amusing. His love for candy was something he could never get over.
"Good?" I asked him, biting back a smile when he stuffed his hand into a box and grabbed a handful.
He looked at me, his eyes lightening up more. When he smiled, I had a feeling it wasn't just because of his favourite candy. "The best."

Well, I'd been bored by sex and work so I wanted to do something fun. This chapter was kinda short because I couldn't really determine what more to write, because I'd wanted to show they were more than just sex and physical, that they did have fun like normal couples, and that was covered in this.
